Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted September 22, 2018 (edited) For a few kicks and giggles, I threw in a few easter eggs into my post. Enjoy. Hopefully some of you can find both of them. That, was actually hilarious. Vaude 536 Posted September 22, 2018 (edited) *bows*, thank you. Also, were you? I must have misread that, as I originally thought she was training in her room. Let's say she was in one of the training rooms, if that is all right. Edited September 22, 2018 by Vaude 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Vaude 536 Posted September 25, 2018 So, a moment of explanation is in order for what is to come, folks. In my line of real-life work, I have been assigned to longer hours with potential for six days a week of work and a longer commute. I will have little downtime besides the time I want to spend with my little family unit, so I will be a wee bit slower than my speeding-bullet posting that you have witnessed me doing as of late, maybe once every two days or so for about a month. In the meantime, feel free to let the conversations flow forth from your characters like chocolate from a chocolate fountain. I love the character interaction so far with this group and am always eager to see more, and every so often during my breaks I read through old and new posts with a smile on my face. Keep it up, all, and I'll catch you on the flipside every now and again. 2 Mystics Apprentice and Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Vaude 536 Posted September 29, 2018 To those who have or have not seen my latest post, I added some additional characters to it, including my newest NPC/PC Winona. I am unsure of how much I am going to use her, given my limitations of time as of late, but I'll try my best in integrating her. I'll yield a character sheet momentarily.
Vaude 536 Posted September 29, 2018 (edited) Name: Winona KissingerAge: 21Race: Gravity ArtisanAppearance: Winona stands at five feet and five inches (165 centimeters) with black hair tied into loop braids on either side of her head. She is scrappy, long-boned, and has prominent cheekbones and an oval face, making her look a little younger than she really is. Her dark gaze can be cold and calculating at times, and the way she holds herself is so confident -- so certain -- that people might believe it.Personality: Like most strong and upfront individuals, Winona holds this facade in public and secretly harbours great doubts of her abilities as a person or as a warrior. As much as she wants to be the heroine of the multiverse, she does not know the best steps to accomplishing this, and as she is too proud or worried about critique to ask anybody where to start she aimed for improving her physical strength. So far she kept most people at arm's length, unsure of trusting people with her truest feelings, but things can change.Biography: Born into a world where gravity magic was abundantly used, Winona was reared in the ways of magic from a young age, though she felt the need to be greater, stronger, and otherwise more skilled than any close to her age. This prompted her parents to use a good portion of their life savings to send her to the best schools, and even there she excelled. Academics seemed easy to her, and she again wanted more, and she took up the spear, learning under a grizzled and kind master of the weapon, much to her parents' unhappiness and disapproval. There she learned many tricks, but she learned of her psychological weaknesses as well. Instead of accepting them, she tried to build over them, hide them from existence, and aim to be the best at everything over everyone around her. She took up her family business as an import-export vendor, and she never had an issue with highwaymen as she brought goods to and from the city of her birth. At the age of twenty, she was invited to The Haven, whereupon she took the offer and was brought to her current home. She often wonders what her parents thought about her sudden disappearance, and what others think of her. However, she aims to be the best person she could for them, so that when she is successful she can make everyone proud.Attributes: Gravity Shift (able to change the direction that gravity affects her, making her able to walk on walls or ceilings with ease), Physical Resistance+, Self-Cloning.Abilities: Gravity magic, healing magic, strength up, magic aura, lower defenseWeapon: Greek javelin, Lightweight steel shield Signature Move: Gravity Spin. By creating a gravitational vortex that spins quite quickly like an electron around the nucleus of an atom, she can kill a weak NPC, or dizzy a strong NPC or playable character. She is stationary when performing this, making her vulnerable to attack, and the spell saps a fair amount of magic as well as stamina to maintain the orbit of the vortex.Wallet: 1500 coins. Vaude 536 Posted October 13, 2018 It has been a good while since anyone has posted in here, and I feel rather apologetic to you all for not replying as often as usual (I had a huge workload this week), so I shall vomit out a few miniature character sheets for the six that died at the very start of the roleplay, the ones that went on that quest and failed. Feel free to integrate them with your characters, if you would like. There are holo-diaries in the rooms the six new residents came in, and feel free to be creative if you want interactions with your older Haven residents. -- -- -- -- -- Harold Ironfang: graceful, elegant, Scandinavian, and egotistical, Harold was a giant of a man standing at 6 foot, 9 inches and had a chest span of 65 inches. He was friendly and kind enough to take blows for his comrades, though hardly had the scars to prove it thanks to his insane endurance and very tough skin. He was impervious to most elemental magic and resistant to physical blows, but had a few discolourations of scar tissue on his face and stomach where he was impaled by sharp objects, and one scar across his nose where he was sliced deeply by a blade. Wielded a battleaxe as tall as he was. Friends with Ilyana Ivory and Isabel Clearwater. Fight Grade: A (specialised).Grindra Ulfrichter: secretive, tempestuous, stubborn, and above all proud, Grindra represented a fair number of stereotypes of a druid. She smelled of forests and damp caves, much to several people's distaste, and she is misogynistic to a degree, to an even greater number of people's distaste. She earned Winona's respect through saving her in a fight, but it was never reciprocated. She eventually harboured the liking of a young rogue Kimball. After one year of Kimball's being in Haven, they courted each other, but not even three days afterwards they were sent to their dooms on the Alexandrium-class quest. Wielded a druidic tome and shapeshifting magic. Friends with Kimball and Roderick. Fight Grade: B- (well-rounded).Kimball Oakfast: Kimball's a pacifist. Calm and cool. Like a . . . Buddhist monk. Kimball came to Haven young, starting at seventeen years of age, and helped out Haven with his unique skillset of being able to pick any lock and break into anything with what he calls his "icebreaking" skill. Industrious and clever, he had the makings of greatness, but was very timid around others and kept mainly to himself. Grindra he admired from afar before learning that she liked him as well, and after getting to know each other a little more they became friends just shy of a year after Kimball's arrival, then dating lovers for the short span of eleven days before everyone died in the highest-graded quest. Wielded a crossbow, mouldable key, and object manipulation magic. Friends with Grindra. Fight Grade: C- (specialised).Ilyana Ivory: A competitive fistfighter, Ilyana never was as good with words as she was with her weaponised hands. She is blunt, plain-looking, zealous, and has a glassy expression on her face, but never would you meet a sweeter individual. She cared deeply for people, even if her ability to articulate was limited, and she often put it to action by acting as a bouncer within Haven and holding self-counseling sessions. She became fast friends with Harold Ironfang, and others too drifted toward her over time. She taught Pang several pugilistic moves and was an excellent combat specialist, mastering several martial arts and skilled in dozens more. Her strength was renowned as well, as well as her immobility in difficult situations. She could stop a charging rhino and not budge an inch. Wielded her fists and twin tiger hook swords. Friends with Harold, Roderick, and Isabel. Fight Grade: A+ (specialised).Roderick Corrin: Roderick was a sorceror in that he summoned fell creatures to do his dirty work, and fed them portions of his own energy in order to do so. Horribly morose, unfriendly, calculating, and sure of himself, he was also lazy, perhaps because of the lethargy of summoning. While uncaring towards many individuals, he gradually warmed up to Ilyana and Isabel, though he maintained a front towards even them. His room smelled of brimstone and chalk, and everywhere within had a summoning circle on it. Even the books had circles inscribed somewhere on it, as space was limited, though the pages themselves were not enough to handle anything more than imps and inferior troglodytes. Due to limited sources, he mastered low-level summoning and mid-grade summoning, though high-level was still difficult for him. Wielded a tablet with five summoning circles and two wrist circles. Friends with Ilyana and Isabel. Fight Grade: C+ (specialised).Isabel Clearwater: Morally just in almost every way, Isabel stands as a judge and jury while Harold is the executioner. Fair-skinned and with golden hair, Isabel can turn heads without much effort, though her greatest fault would probably be the inability to receive a compliment without being shy. She is quick to take on friends, though the perhaps the only one in the end who was unfriendly towards her would be Grindra. She cared greatly about how people viewed her, not wanting to be too personal nor too distant, and balancing was an issue for her. She was handy with a staff, however, and learned multiple holy and nonelemental spells that protected her allies and destroyed her enemies. Wielded a staff with several slotted reserves of magic. Friends with Harold, Ilyana, and Roderick. Fight Grade: B (specialised). 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 20, 2018 Interesting characters all around. I've been meaning to make two characters in fact, one is an old one of mine and another is brand new if possible. One is a gentleman with time manipulating powers, which might be tough to balance around in PVP, Another is a human being who had his genetic code completely altered by a beast he had hunted before, resulting in him being half dragon, but not a common dragon, a dragon's whose entire physiology is symbiotic to a poison and ends up releasing a life reducing miasma in his wake, corroding the skin and lungs of all those who come in contact and breath it.
Vaude 536 Posted October 20, 2018 Sounds like a nice set of characters to introduce, so I say go for it, Scrap. Send up a character sheet for either or both of them (and maybe a balance to this miasma of the dragon man), and they would be ready for acceptance! Also, sorry for the wait, all. I hope to drop a post in the RP very soon. Life has been rather full for me as of late due to work, but it should be easier to breathe once this next week passes me by. A long project will reach completion after that, if all goes according to plan. 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this

Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) YOOOO Its time for another character. This one's an old favorite of mine. Name: Hektor Van Maxwell Age (optional): He is, in truth, 450 Years old, but has attained the physical age of 23 Race (optional): Human turned Time lord. Appearance: Personality: A self appointed Gentleman and friend of everyone. A jolly and respectful individual, who enjoys his wisdom and shares it with everyone he meets, he has a strong respect for those with attitude, but does not think less of others who don't express their's. He has a strong moral compass, bolstered only by his travels through time and dealings with others. Biography: The youngest son of the wealthy and respected Maxwell family, a family which prided itself in its refined fighting arts utilizing specialized Canes for combat, which were both surprisingly effective, and practical for use in everyday situations, plus no one ever expected someone wielding a cane to beat men with swords and other weapons. Hektor was assigned to an academy which prided itself in raising heroes, and for a time, he found friends and other like minded individuals, with one goal in mind, make the world a better place, but tragedy struck before they graduated, in their graduation day, a betrayal most foul was acted by the acadmy's headmaster who not only laid them in a trap but also summoned a mighty demon to ravage the academy, this was not a tale of success or triumph, while Hektor managed to escape alive with few others, he still set off to do what his original goal was, but now with the addition of protecting the people, three months passed of pure struggles for survival and order as his family's estate, and his entire family were attacked and slaughtered, as were many others well known hero families. Hektor was distraught and depressed at the realization he was the only Maxwell left in a dying world. Hektor then did the unthinkable...he sought out the gods who allowed this to happen and did nothing to stop it. In his quest he came in contact with many gods, and found out they did not act not due indifference, but because they had been beaten and cursed by the demon lord himself, Hektor never allowed despair to overtake him, always continuing a gentleman's mannerisms, but he had doubts about his quest. The last god, the god of time, Hektor encountered him just as the Demon lord had struck the last blow to the god of time, but before the Demon lord could bind him to his command, Hektor struck, interrupting the Demon lord, alongside his allies. However, as i've said before, this was not a tale of heroism and triumph, they all lacked power, and the demon lord was merciless, he slaughtered all of Hektor's friends and allies, and had stabed Hektor through the gut, leaving him for dead in the remains of the time god's lair, Hektor bled out, but before he could truly die, the TIme god blessed him with a portion of his time powers. Causing Hektor to avoid death by reverting the damage dealt to him. This granted Hektor valuable powers over time, able to distort and bend it to his will, with this newfound power Hektor set off, with the guidance of the god of time to undo what had happened three months prior, he went back in time, and struck down the headmaster who sought to betray them, ending his plans before they even began, however in doing so he brought the ire of the academy, even he with his untrained time powers could not last against so many, and he died a disgrace of a hero and a stain to the Maxwell's name. However one blessed by the god of time does not truly "die". They live on through an anomaly in time, venturing into the Well of Time and wandering aimlessly through timeless planes, awaiting their time to be called into action in the world's moment of need. Attributes: A Gentleman's physiology (Enhanced Dexterity and Speed) A Gentleman's resolve ( Reduced effect and time of debuffs and willpower affecting attacks such as mind control) Abilities: Time Control: Rift (Hektor can cast a localized AoE vortex of deadly time energy, slowing down and damaging enemies while pulling them further to the center of the rift) Time control: Gift (A Buff spell Hektor can bestow on his allies, giving them resistance to his time distorting abilities to prevent friendly fire, and speeding up their movements and attacks, much like the Haste spell from Final fantasy games) Time Control: Distortion (Hektor can cast a distortion spell around him, distorting time in an area around him, slowing down and damaging enemies with distorted reality when near him, , this does not affect allies bestowed with the Time's gift buff, in fact on contact with said allies it will create distortions around them as well, effectively buffing them with an AoE slowdown and damage field). Time Control: Flux (A buff/attack ability, Hektor bestows himself with the Time's strenght, allowing him increased movement, reflexes, and distortion of time emanating from his body, this allows him to react quicker and attack faster. He can maintain the buff for some time, or use the remaining time to charge a powerful time rippling slash, which shoots forward a shockwave of destructive distortions in the form of miniature explosions). Weapon: Threaded Cane: A Marvel of technical ingenuity, the Threaded cane is sheated and looks like a regular wooden cane, but when unsheated it reveals the razor sharp edges, in an otherwise blunt weapon, made of sharp and durable steel, the Cane's edges are all sharpened to be able to cut skin and bone alike. Effectively allowing it to be used as a Rapier with its lightweight build and thrusting and cutting power. However the cane has an alternative mode that lets go of the several locks and connections within the Cane's interior, to release a whip-like form, bladed this time bladed and puncturing, able to attack from distances the cane could never reach and allow for immense crowd control potential. Signature Move: Time Lord's World ZA WARUDO! Hektor pulls out the pocket watch he keeps in his posession at all times, mostly when he is casting time spells and just to check the time. But the clock is able to allow him to cast "Time lord's world" Which effectively allows him to bend time to his will for a limited time of five seconds, he he can move and attack freely during the limited time, and any damage dealt to an enemy in this time stop stage is deal to them after it ends, or just to move out of the way of an attack or get someone out of danger. To those whom time is stopped it just appears Hektor just flash stepped and did something, much to their confusion when he moves them during the time stop, the person seamlessly moves and is not able to notice that they were moved because of the stopped time. Time Lord's Curse: Hektor uses his time controling powers differently on person to person engagements with friends, he pulls out his pocket watch and watches it for a second, if he managed to evade or block an attack while wearing his pocket watch, he will shatter the watch over the enemy, either by smashing it while dodging or by slamming onto the enemy's attack. This inflicts the opponent with a slowing debuff, that inflicts considerable slowdown to both agility and reflexes, as well as making them vulnerable for Hektor's other abilities. This is dodgeable, should the opponent be agile and quick enough to dodge out of the shattering blast's way. Edited December 2, 2018 by Scrapmaster Added new Signature skill. 2 Mystics Apprentice and Vaude reacted to this
Vaude 536 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) Accepted! As we discussed off of the site, the signature move will be locked in PVP, but a free signature move is allowed for PVP purposes. Let me know when you make the changes and I would be happy to check it out! I am excited to see Hektor's multiple talents both within and without the field of battle. ZA WARUDO! Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 1, 2018 Time for my second character! I hope this looks okay. Name: Rhiannon Skrymir Age (optional): 18 Race (optional): The Higher-up Race (whatever Vaude decides upon) Appearance: Personality: Rhi is soft-spoken and shy, though is quite friendly and polite when you warm up to her. She doesn't find much satisfaction in displaying her skills in more difficult missions and often takes on simpler tasks to skirt danger, but will lend a hand to those in need if the situation is laid out before her. Biography: Much about Rhi is unknown to the residents of Haven, excepting that she arrived about six months ago with the bland story that she had been whisked away from friends and family and brought here, though only herself and the ones in charge of Haven know her true story. She was indeed selected and has a purpose, as she is one of the higher-up's very own daughter. Despite having a purpose and mission to fulfill in Haven, she has built friendships and bonds with the others, most chiefly Roderick, whose death struck her very hard. She has felt resentment toward Haven ever since, though does not confide this with anyone. Attributes: Mind-reading and invisibility Abilities: Piercing weapon, shield, dexterity up, strength up, shattering weapon Weapon: Lance and Bow Signature Move: Quantum Leap: Utilizing great amounts of energy, Rhiannon can leap high in the air and wrap herself in invisibility before plummeting down hard on her foe with her spear. 1 Vaude reacted to this
Vaude 536 Posted November 1, 2018 @Mystics Apprentice, Rhiannon is accepted, and lights are green for her roleplay involvement whenever you are ready! I can imagine this character as being dangerous against those unwary to her interestingly well-implemented dragoon-esque Jump abilities. I also like the fact that magic is not highly used by your character. Most have an elemental theme to them, but the physical is just as decent as pure magic or a blend of both, so good on you there! After giving it some thought, the higher-ups will typically look like elongated humans in their physiology, somewhat like High Elves from The Elder Scrolls franchise. Rhiannon can follow this principle and be taller and skinnier than normal (I was thinking along the lines of Freya Crescent a little from Final Fantasy IX), though that is up to you. Also, @Scrapmaster, Time Lord's Curse is accepted, and I apologise for not taking a gander at it as soon as I had previously hoped. This would be a menacing debuff, especially when paired up with a hasted Hektor. I look forward to seeing everyone's characters in action as time goes on and the roleplay progresses further! This is quite the well-rounded cast. 2 Nero Kunivas and Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
