Pretty Much Proof of Xion's Return

Xion returning to KH has long been discussed and theorized, well before the Big Hero 6 trailer was released. With her lines being canonized in the Orchestra Tour and her appearance in Dream Drop Distance, along with the recent screenshots that most agree to be her, I believe it's safe to confirm that Xion will be making a return.

 

Overall it actually makes sense for her to be a Xehanort Vessel as well, since her entire purpose originally was to serve as a replacement for Roxas in Organization XIII. Going forward to KH3, if the True Org. has goals of somehow extracting Roxas then it's not too far off to say that also extracting Xion, or even making her a new replica, is possible. I think the next trailer will confirm for us visibly 100%, but there's enough evidence to support her return before we even see it.

 

Edit: For comparison's sake, I found a decent side profile of Xion and included the recent screenshot from the Big Hero 6 trailer, if that's not a match I can't imagine who else it could be..

Near the end of 358/2 days Xemnas 'took' her and made some kind of modifications to her, if I'm not mistaken. So who knows what he did to her, or rather it at that point. Still hoping best girl won't be norted, but yeah...

 

It would also give Roxas some well needed motivation to help Sora and the others defeat Xehanort once and for all.

Even before the Orchestra Tour Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded, and Dream Drop Distance had stated that Xion is waiting for Sora safe her along with Roxas, Namine, Terra, Ventus, and Aqua to save them from their hurting. That's been stated that she would return in Kingdom Hearts 3. But how she return is a mystery. Also, Xion's heart is inside of Sora so either Master Xehanort extract Xion's heart from inside Sora and create Xion as his vessel. Or Master Xehanort manage to create another replica that looks like Xion and put a piece of his heart inside of it. Or Young Xehanort use time travel and manage to kidnapped Xion before Roxas defeats her and use her as a vessel. It may be Xion in the Big Hero 6 Trailer but I'm not sure if it is her. The hair line is similar to Xion's but it's just a short trailer, so maybe the longer trailer might reveal who that person is.

It certainly could be Xion. The length and style of the hair is similar, from what we can see. But I won't be convinced until we have a longer scene. But if it isn't Xion, it very well could be a brand new character.

what if xion by the end of days allready had grown her own heart and this new character would be her nobody allthough it would be a bit difficult since xion never lost her heart but was simply killend at the end of that story, than again you could come up with a solution like this, Roxas absorbed xion into his heart that he had grown at that point and so xion did actually lose it that way

what if xion by the end of days allready had grown her own heart and this new character would be her nobody allthough it would be a bit difficult since xion never lost her heart but was simply killend at the end of that story

Talk about having a complicated story... imagine explaining that, *takes deep breath* Sora unlocked his heart in KH1 and created his Nobody and his Heartless, however Sora was able to be restored to his original body after coming into contact with Kairi who had a piece of Sora's heart inside her. Sora's Nobody, Roxas, was captured by Organization XIII but could not align well with the Organization's goals because of his memories of Sora, therefore the Organization made a replica of Roxas, Xion, who was essentially a puppet that needed to absorb Roxas and take his place in the Organization, absorbing Sora's memories and effectively replacing Sora and Roxas both. However due to Xion containing Sora's memories she began to also rebel against the Organization after forming a friendship with Roxas and another Organization member, Axel. Due to this Xion rescued Roxas from being absorbed by forcing him to defeat her in battle, allowing Roxas to absorb her instead. Then, somehow, she gained a body, grew a heart, lost that heart, and formed a Nobody herself, which then gets possessed by Xehanort. *Exhales*

 

I sincerely hope that isn't the case, there is only so much the human mind can comprehend

I do think this is a cool theory, but I also think that it would just create too many complicated questions. For instance, if Xion and Roxas could grow their own hearts, why couldn't Axel? Or anyone else in the Organization for that matter? ANd if Nobodies can grow their own hearts, then what's the point of Kingdom Hearts? I suppose you could explain this away by saying that since Roxas and Xion's somebody was still alive, they were able to do this, but I don't know. I just think it would make everything too confusing.

if that Idea that we both just came up with than it would be perfect as DLC extra story content to see xion being reborn again only to lose her heart and become a nobody. But you are right at some point your mind cant keep up with all the complicated details
