ocean's rage 774 Posted August 16, 2018 country of the musketeers it was quite an odd choice, it is quite unpopular i believe i suppose live action films were bit of a surprise at first but im all for them 1 Wan_Pisu reacted to this
Mykaila Shakespeare 249 Posted August 16, 2018 Honestly, the musketeer world is very surprising simply because it was a direct-to-video movie. 1 Wan_Pisu reacted to this
WakelessDream 2,281 Posted August 16, 2018 I'm not really sure why, but the first time I played KH2 for some reason I was surprised Port Royal was a world. Maybe because I didn't expect a world based off a live action film to be in the game, or maybe it was my hype for the Pirates movies at the time. 1 Wan_Pisu reacted to this
Karxrida 154 Posted August 16, 2018 Port Royal is weird but not necessarily surprising considering the success of the Pirates films. I find Country of the Musketeers to be the most off-the-wall world we've had. It's based on a direct-to-DVD movie of all things. 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
SoraDaxjer28 263 Posted August 17, 2018 To be completely honest, I would say none of them. Not even The Country OF The Musketeers. In KH1, Donald Duck and Goofy use that phrase, It fits perfectly into the ''Kingdom Hearts'' universe, direct-to-video or not. No one said all the worlds in KH had to be from popular movies only. What about the underdog movies and shows?
littleTSUBAME 483 Posted August 17, 2018 Space Paranoids came so out of nowhere in KH2 and I had never even heard of Tron so I remember being extremely confused. Port Royal was surprising too though.
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted August 17, 2018 Space paranoids was a pleasant surprise. Just thinking about watching that for the first time makes me smile. 2 hawk222 and Wan_Pisu reacted to this
Tyranto Rex 277 Posted August 17, 2018 Country of the Musketeers. Though at the same time it's not too surprising since it was for a game for the 3DS, a quote on quote "side game" so I'm sure they did not want to use the more spectacular films. Even though they also included Hunchback, but I guess they have to have at least one note worthy movie. Pirates and Tron (which I did not hear about until KH2) were a little weird to me, and I still find them slightly uncanny but I do understand at least with Pirates why they would want to include it. Technically, all the movies in ''Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream, Drop, Distance'' were note-worthy. The Country OF The Musketeers was the only world in the game to break up the story's rather dark approach. As for ''TRON'', it is still considered a major ground-breaking movie. Yet, I, personally, prefer the sequel more. 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
Movies798 1,359 Posted August 17, 2018 Country of the Musketeers was the most surprising to me because it was the first ever world based from a Direct-to-Video instead of a theatrical film. Adding the Country of the Musketeers into the Kingdom Hearts makes me believe that any Disney direct to videos can be in the Kingdom Hearts series. Jingilator 922 Posted August 17, 2018 Tbh, none of them were surprising to me. Of course, DDD was the first I'd heard of Kingdom Hearts (via August 2012's issue of Nintendo Power at a summer camp).

Allwil13 754 Posted August 17, 2018 Hands down Country of the Musketeers. What a weird choice. That being said, I didn't mind the world itself. It was fun to explore in regards to flowmotion, and some of the dream eaters were really cool. But the choice to include the movie drove me crazy. I get that they wanted a movie with Mickey, Donald and Goofy in it, but I think there were other choices that would have been better. 1 ocean's rage reacted to this

Movies798 1,359 Posted August 18, 2018 agreed but than again it made sense they needed SOME way how they could include donald and goofy more than just the intro and end cutscene I kinda disagree because they don't need to include Donald and Goofy in some way into the main game. In Birth By Sleep Donald and Goofy were only included in one world and that's Mysterious Tower. Dream Drop Distance could've done the same way just have Donald and Goofy appearing three worlds along with Mickey in Mysterious Tower, Disney Castle, and the World That Never Was without Country of the Musketeers. Well to me that's how I see it though.

Movies798 1,359 Posted August 19, 2018 Good point. I would not even mind if they made a Kingdom hearts game without amy disney characters or final Fantasy characters in would love if they did a few Experiments in the Next Saga While the Kingdom Hearts series made be a Disney game with Final Fantasy elements but I think it has become more than a Disney game. The Kingdom Hearts series had become it's own franchise with Sora and other original characters as the face of Kingdom Hearts. Of course along with Mickey Donald and Goofy. I agree, I wouldn't mind at least one Kingdom Hearts game (main or side-story) with the Disney and Final Fantasy characters as a experiment and see how it goes.
