Sora98 0 Posted October 30, 2010 Hello, I'm new here, so I'm not sure if my little theory is going to get ruled out in a day. But: Could it be that the 3D part stands for "Three Destinies"? I say this because Three numerically is "3". The reason that seems plausible to me isn't that hard to find out, it's fairly straight forward. in Birth by Sleep's secret ending it says "All the pieces lie where they fell" and birth by sleep always wanted to give the idea of "Fate" and "Fate" is around the same as "destiny". I also read another thread on this forum that showed a theory that perhaps data sora makes another appearance, by trying to get to Real Sora and Data Riku goes along for the ride. I don't know if it's possible, and that's the problem. Say his theory is right, that means that the subtitle may not be Three destinies because the 3DS may not be able to handle a Data Sora trying to get to Sora and Sora trying to save Aqua, Terra and Ventus.(nomura did a good job explaining why they wont age) There's also another thing, isn't Terra almost already saved? Yen Sid said that since the heartless and Nobody died in the right order, master Xehanort came back. But Master Xehanort's Original body is gone, so Terra would actually come back. So even if Terra comes back, Xehanort would still be with him. They Can't save Terra yet, that'd remove most of the plot of KH3, unless Xehanort somehow hastily gets a new vessel. Thoughts? I'd appreciate it if you could give me your input to this.
EaglesFan887 11 Posted October 30, 2010 Really nice theory!! Oh and welcome to KH13! Hope you enjoy your time here!
Tails 6,692 Posted October 30, 2010 That's a good theory, but most of it is wrong. If you have watched the secret ending of Re:coded, it gives you a hint to what KH3D will be about. In KH3D it is most likely that the real Sora and Riku are going to take the mark of mastery exam just like Aqua and Terra did. Also, Nomura hasn't revealed what the true title of KH3D will be. And yes Terra has been half-saved due to Sora and co. defeating Ansem SoD and Xemnas. But now that they have both became whole again, the original Xehanort will return. So Sora and Riku really have their hands full here. With Sora going to save everybody connected to him from their "torment", and becoming keyblade masters, and defeating Xehanort once and for all. Reversal 53 Posted October 30, 2010 Hello, I'm new here, so I'm not sure if my little theory is going to get ruled out in a day. But: Could it be that the 3D part stands for "Three Destinies"? This was one of the more popular theories back when we found out "3D" stands for something asides from "3 Dimensions." As of now, it's died down a bit. Um...okay? No offense, but if that's just your reasoning for the title being "Three Destinies", I find it rather...lacking. I also read another thread on this forum that showed a theory that perhaps data sora makes another appearance, by trying to get to Real Sora and Data Riku goes along for the ride. Data Sora's involvement doesn't exactly fit "the conversation in Re:coded's secret ending drops a big hint" considering it had nothing to do with him. I don't know if it's possible, and that's the problem. Say his theory is right, that means that the subtitle may not be Three destinies because the 3DS may not be able to handle a Data Sora trying to get to Sora and Sora trying to save Aqua, Terra and Ventus.(nomura did a good job explaining why they wont age) I left my opinion on that matter in DeathSkull's thread, so... There's also another thing, isn't Terra almost already saved? Yen Sid said that since the heartless and Nobody died in the right order, master Xehanort came back. But Master Xehanort's Original body is gone, so Terra would actually come back. So even if Terra comes back, Xehanort would still be with him. They Can't save Terra yet, that'd remove most of the plot of KH3, unless Xehanort somehow hastily gets a new vessel. You're right that the defeat of the Heartless and Nobody (no specific order required) brings about the return of the original being. However, due to the rather interesting process of "defeating" Ansem SoD, it gets a bit...iffy. You know that Sora, Donald, and Goofy defeated him in KH1. However, instead of fading back into darkness, he, the heart of Apprentice Xehanort, along with Riku's body, which he was currently possessing rejoined with Riku's heart in the Realm of Darkness. Technically, he wasn't truly "defeated" until Ansem's decoder exploded, and he did say "anything could happen." Which brings us here. Terra's heart is more or less implied to be harbored by Riku, while Yen Sid in the Re:coded secret ending is implying that only Master Xehanort has returned. All in all, it's hinting that the Xehanort that has been reborn from the defeat of Ansem SoD and Xemnas is closer to that of Apprentice Xehanort without Terra's heart. Basically, mending Terra's hurting might be more along the lines of a few heart extractions. Thoughts? I'd appreciate it if you could give me your input to this. There's not really much else to say, asides from the obvious.
Mog 97 Posted October 30, 2010 I think that Yen Sid put Sora & Riku in a virtual world to face many tests, which may explain why Sora was taking on the TT in Traverse Town.
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 30, 2010 They haven't decided what the 3D will stand for yet.
Sora98 0 Posted October 30, 2010 I think that Yen Sid put Sora & Riku in a virtual world to face many tests, which may explain why Sora was taking on the TT in Traverse Town. .... This may sound stupid, maybe it's a already answered question, but what IS TT? Technically, nobody should know about it other than Roxas since he fought it in his Awakening. Actually, what WAS it doing in Roxas' heart? Another thing, Yen sid Asked Mickey to bring Sora and Riku to him, if he used Data versions of Sora and Riku in KH1 then it wouldn't be accurate. Twilight Thorn. So,it's not as if Roxas is the only one who can fight it.
DChiuch 5,773 Posted November 2, 2010 They haven't decided what the 3D will stand for yet. Yes they have, well at least Nomura has. Otherwise he wouldn't say so surely that it stands for something (that we don't know yet). But they would have decided.
