[Forever Love 82]

Roxas's eyes widened before they sharpened with fury. Namine! She had been grabbed by someone too, and Roxas recognized him immediately. It was that Owen guy from the karaoke night! 

 

Kairi grunted when Travis turned her and then puller her to his chest, her back against his front as he kept his arms around her, holding her in a similar fashion to Owen holding Namine. Kairi's periwinkle eyes fell on Sora, and she felt a rush of different emotions. First, she felt relief that he was here. But then she felt humiliation for the same reason. Kairi struggled against Travis, but her strength was no match for his. He was just too strong.

 

"Oh yeah? And who are you? Her boyfriend?" Travis sneered, keeping Kairi close. "What's it to you? Mind your own business!"

Automatically, Sora's body coiled itself into a fighting pose. Magic tingled at the tips of his fingertips, the keyblade close to materializing. He wanted to say that he was her boyfriend, but after Noel, Sora didn't feel right making such an assertion. "I'm one of her best friends," Sora shot back, "So, I suggest you back off now!"

"Best friend?" Travis mocked in question, though he then laughed. "Like that's supposed to mean anything to me. Get lost."

 

Kairi turned her head to look at Namine, seeing that both she and the blonde were in similar positions. Positions that, really, could be useful. She motioned to Namine subtly, moving her heel as if to show that they could stomp down on these guys' feet to get away. It could work!

 

"Owen!" Roxas spat. "What's your problem?! Let Namine go!" If he was still upset about the karaoke thing, he really needed to let that go. That was weeks ago!

"No way!" Sora protested, he started towards Travis with growing fury, "I'm not going anywhere. Not without Kairi and Naminé." Though, Sora wasn't as concerned with the blonde girl with his Nobody in tow. Roxas would make sure Naminé was safe. 

 

Naminé caught Kairi's movements and nodded. They would just have to wait for the right moment...

 

Owen tightened his grip on Naminé and skimmed his nose along the side of her cheek, breathing in deeply. "Mmm, this bothers you huh? I don't see the problem. Don't you have your own little fan club now anyway?"

 

Naminé stiffened and looked to Kairi again. She would wait for the red head's cue. I just hope that's soon...

Roxas ground his teeth together. That was way too close for his comfort, which meant Namine felt worse. He followed Sora's lead, moving toward the creeps that had the girls. They had to figure out a way to get them free without hurting them in the process. "Fan club or not, I won't let you hurt Namine."

 

Travis pulled Kairi even closer, smelling her hair. "Smells like desire, don't you think?" he said, smirking. Kairi grunted, but Travis only used that to fuel his fire. He moved his hand lower from her shoulder, toward her chest. She would like this part, and right in front of her boyfriend too.

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut at Travis's words, but when his hand started moving, they shot open. No! she thought in fear, but a fire in her kicked in. No way was she going to be touched like this! She glanced out of the corner of her eye at Namine. "More like disgust," she told the creep, then stomping her heel down on his foot. Travis's cry of pain rang in her ear, but his hold on her loosened from the unexpected attack. She elbowed him as she turned out of his grasp. "Get off me!"

"Heh, how heroic," Owen jeered, "What do you think Naminé?" He grabbed her face, making her look from him to Roxas. "Your white knight here to save you~"

 

Naminé kept her focus on Kairi and refused to answer. Kairi...! Naminé thought desperately as Travis's hand moved closer to her chest. She knew the red head had a plan, but this was getting close. Too close. When she saw her best friend's hard stomp, however, she mimicked the motion with as much furor as she could muster and dug her heel down on Owen's toes. 

 

Owen shrieked and hopped away from her, a flurry of swear words dropping from his lips. 

 

Sora exchanged a silent look with his other. Ready?

Roxas nodded faintly to Sora before he rushed forward, grabbing Owen by the shirt and throwing him up against the nearest wall. No way was he going to get away with touching Namine like that! No way in hell!

 

Kairi gasped when Roxas charged forward, and knowing that Sora would do the same, she grabbed Namine's wrist and yanked her out of the way of both confrontations. Where was the theater's security?!

Naminé yelped slightly when Kairi pulled her, but her relief quickly became evident seeing her other half unharmed. “You’re okay?”

 

Owen released an audible grunt as his back hit the wall, but his eyes danced despite the pain, seeming to relish the boy’s anger. “Boyfriend to the rescue, huh?”

 

Sora followed Roxas’s suit, grabbing Travis by the arm that had slithered towards Kairi’s chest and using it to throw the creep against a nearby column. “You don’t get away with this!”

Kairi nodded, though she couldn't tear her eyes away from the fights breaking out. "You?"

 

Roxas kept his grip on Owen's collar, and at his words, his eyebrows furrowed. "Damn right," he replied lowly, pulling back his arm. Gritting his teeth, he threw a punch at Owen's face.

 

Travis groaned when the back of his head hit the column. A bit dazed, he heard Sora's words and smirked faintly. "Watch me," he told him. His eyes danced from the blazing blue in front of him to the pretty periwinkle of the redhead. Once Travis was done with this idiot, she was his.

Naminé nodded and moved her gaze back to where the boys were fighting. ‘This won’t end well...”

 

A loud crack followed, eliciting a shriek more piercing than the last from Owen. He clutched at his nose to stifle the bleeding before a wildness overtook him, Owen dove to grasp Roxas’s neck.

 

Sora couldn’t hold his anger back any longer, seeing Travis’s wandering gaze. ‘He isn’t even taking me seriously!’ Sora grabbed the front of his shirt and slammed him harder against the column. A crack spiderwebbed across the marble. “Listen,” Sora seethed, “I won’t let you ever touch her again. Ever. Do you understand?”

Kairi silently agreed, finding it hard to focus on either fight. This was bad all around! We have to stop this! At this rate, they'll kill each other!

 

Roxas's eyes widened briefly, ducking at the last second to avoid Owen's grasp. Was he seriously aiming for my neck?! While ducked down, Roxas threw a fist as hard as he could at Owen's stomach. If he was winded, he couldn't focus on anything else--like Namine. His only problem would be breathing.

 

Travis grunted at the force behind the shove. He heard the marble crack. Was this kid superhuman?! Who had enough strength to do that?! He focused back on Sora, gritting his teeth. No way was this punk going to beat him down! 

 

Kairi heard a holler from different direction, and she glanced behind her to see a few security officers sprinting their way. "Sora!" she called on instinct, facing forward again. This wasn't good!

Naminé heard the voices too and glanced at Kairi briefly before running towards Roxas. “I’ve got Roxas,” she called over her shoulder. They couldn’t let the boys get in trouble over this. She wanted to believe the security officers wouldn’t punish Sora and Roxas, but...

 

A loud gasp from Owen could be heard as he doubled over from the blow. ‘I can’t let him win again...!’ He’d take Naminé away and make her his...

 

Sora tightened his grip on Travis. He knew he should let it go at this point to avoid trouble, but...Sora raised a fist, ready to inflict a devastating blow.

 

Naminé threw her arms around Roxas’s waist from behind abruptly; her eyes were squeezed tightly together as she spoke against his back. “Roxas, please, stop!”

Kairi glanced at Namine when she ran. Right, the boys. They had to flee. She looked over her shoulder at another shout from an officer. Sora, she thought instantly. He was hers. Kairi sprinted toward him as he lifted his fist. She grabbed that arm by his bicep with both of her hands. "Sora, we have to go!" she told him urgently. She tried to ignore the infuriated expression that overcame his handsome features, hearing the rushed footsteps of security. "He's not worth it. Come on!" She tugged at his arm. They had to leave!

 

Roxas had prepared to deal another blow, but the grasp around him made him stop. He lifted his arms slightly as Namine's words reached him. Stop?! "But he--!"

 

"Hold it right there!"

 

Roxas turned his head sharply at the order. Security?!

“Wait! But he—“ Sora began to protest but his voice was cut off by one of the burly security guards.

 

His hair was a mix of brown and gray, and he towered the boys by at least a foot. “What’s going on here?”

 

Owen’s face crumpled dramatically and he pointed weakly up at Roxas. “These two attacked my friend and I out of nowhere!” He accused.

"What?!" Roxas cried in outrage. That wasn't even close to what happened!

 

"He's right! We didn't do anything!" Travis claimed in agreement, hiding his smirk.

 

Kairi looked from Travis to Owen and then to the guard. "That's not true!" she insisted. "Those two assaulted me and my friend!" She motioned to Sora and Roxas, her hands still on Sora's arm. "They were just defending us!"

 

The second security guard looked between the six kids. Well, he couldn't really deny that kind of claim from a young woman. "Best option is to look at the tapes to find the truth," he said lowly to his coworker. It was the only way they would get to the bottom of this. Or they could just let the kids go.

The first security guard looked uneasy, hearing Kairi’s claim. If they tried disputing this...

 

“It’s true,” Naminé added, ignoring Owen’s angry glare at her back, “They followed us to the bathroom. They...they were going to...” the words became stuck in her throat. She couldn’t say it. What they did. What they were going to do...

 

“They’re lying!” Owen snarled abruptly and staggered to his feet. He jabbed a finger towards Naminé this time. “They were trying to seduce us!”

Roxas whacked Owen's finger away from Namine. "Get real!" Namine would never! And neither would Kairi! 

 

Kairi didn't know how to react. Seduce?! she thought in outrage. She felt sick at even the possibility.

 

"Enough!" the second guard ordered. He could tell how infuriated the two guys the girls defended were. He seriously doubted they would lie about this. "You two," he said, directing the order to the two guys who looked worse for wear, "this side. You four, on the other." Separating them sounded best for now, until they came to a decision how to handle this.

“You’re just jealous you haven’t gotten anything,” Owen muttered as he moved to his respective side. Naminé definitely would have been a good lay. Her friend too.

 

“Do ya think we should just let them go?” The first officer whispered to the other. But they could get in trouble for that...

Roxas's eyes sharpened at the words, however soft they were. He turned his head to glare at Owen, but he knew holding back wasn't a choice. His hands balled into fists, his jaw clenched, and adrenaline flooded his veins. Roxas lunged for Owen, tackling him to the ground. No way was he getting away with that remark! You son of a--

 

The second officer blinked at the tackle. "Ah damn," he muttered, starting forward instantly to separate the two. What happened?!

 

"Roxas!" Kairi cried in surprise. What was he doing?!

Owen cackled even as his body hit the ground. "That's it, isn't it?" Owen taunted, spitting blood, "She won't put out for you. How pathetic."

 

Even Sora was shocked by the blond's actions. He helped separate the two boys, grabbing onto Roxas with a firmly. "Dude, what's wrong with you?" he hissed. Of course he was angry too, but, they couldn't afford to get into any major kind of trouble right now! And I'm pretty sure we all are now...

 

"Roxas!" Naminé echoed Kairi's cry as she watched Roxas dive at Owen. What even happened!? Did he say something? 

 

"Break it up!" the first security guard said, moving to grab Owen. What was wrong with kids these days?

Roxas struggled against Sora's hold, the second officer going for Owen alongside his coworker. "Shut up!" he roared at Owen. "She's better than that and you know it!"

 

Kairi looked to Namine. This was about her?! What did Owen even say?!

Naminé stepped forward with lips pursed. She could only imagine what Owen had said. Roxas may be on the impulsive side, but his anger was usually warranted. "Roxas...," she said more softly.

 

Owen sneered. "I don't think so. Quiet ones like that," He jerked his head towards Naminé, "They just pretend to be innocent--" Slap Owen's head snapped to the side; a small, red handprint decorated his normally pale skin. 

 

Naminé breathed heavily, shoulders trembling. But her blue eyes were on fire. "Stop."

While a few of the teens looked surprised at the blonde girl's action, the second officer had enough. "Alright, that's it. All of you get out of here now before we start taking names," he ordered. "You four, we'll give you a head start so you don't run into each other on the way. Get going."

 

Roxas still seethed regardless of Namine's interference. Her tore himself from Sora's firm grasp and glanced at the officer. Yeah, they were leaving. Roxas didn't want to be around these creeps anymore. This could only get worse.

Naminé touched Roxas's shoulder gently before dropping her hand to grab his. The anger practically radiated off of him. "Let's go home."

 

Sora, looking to Kairi, answered the officers. "Thanks. We'll get going."

Roxas took a deep breath at Namine's touch. Right, home... He looked to her wordlessly and grasped her hand, starting forward. He wasn't leaving her side.

 

Kairi met Sora's eyes before she nodded to the officers. "Thank you," she muttered. She appeciated them letting everyone go. This could have been a lot worse. She reached for Sora's hand as she took a step forward, her eyes darting to his. Time to go.
