Your greatest fears for Kingdom Hearts 3

Recommended Posts

Kairi and Lea/Axel end up together. (Worst fear.).

No passionate romantic moment between both Sora and Kairi.

The ending is tragic/bittersweet.

Namine, Roxas, Xion, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ansem the Wise and Master Eraqus are not saved.

Sora becomes a Xehanort or succumbs to Darkness by the end of the game.

Aladdin and the King of Thieves does not make it into the game.

Winnie the Pooh appears in the game.

No Final Fantasy characters.

No proper continuity from previous Xehanort Saga games up to now.

Demyx not appearing.

Jack Sparrow not a playable ally.

No boss fight against Davy Jones.

No boss fight against Randall.

and

No appearances/cameos from Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Jasmine and Alice/the original VII Princesses of Heart.

Dear God I will hate it if Lea and Kairi end up together it makes no sense.

I doubt we will see Kairi and Sora kiss or anything but I do want something atleast after all these years.

I don't mind a bittersweet ending or a tragic one so long it works with the story and theme's.

JOIN THE DARKSIDE SORA WE HAVE KEYBLADES- I mean cookies!

Removing the Final Fantasy characters is like removing the identity or the reason why this franchise started to begin with HELL I still want that party from Cid for 12 years!

I doubt Jack will be playable and the old Princesses appear but I would like to believe they will make a appearence.

There are many things that I fear in this title since it’s the final title for this saga...

Things that I fear from Kingdom Hearts III are:

- Day One Edition

- DLCs that continue the storyline

- Ignoring the original princeesses of heart

- Illogical explanation of the sudden existence of the new generation of princesses of heart

- Sora saving Master Aqua

- Ignoring the origin of Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia and Larxene

- Over-exaggeration of the Wayfinder trio being evil under Xehanort

- Less than four boss fights in each world

- Ignoring or not showing the Final Fantasy characters especially the Restoration Committe or giving them less roles than before

- Unnecessary loading screen between places

- Not bringing some returning worlds like Agrabah, Castle of Dreams, Enchanted Dominion and La Cite des Cloches

- Making the game easier than previous titles

- Leaving some plot holes and mysteries regarding Xehanort’s saga

- Death of one of the Guardians to make the ending affecting

- Using the Link as an excuse for not being able to bring the worlds of those characters chosen to be links

- Giving unimportant role for the organization members inside Disney Worlds

- Disney worlds having separate storyline that feels like filler instead of connecting it to the main plot

- Not being able to play as Master Riku, Master Aqua, Kairi, Ventus, Roxas and Terra

- Ignoring or forgetting Luxu’s storyline

- Not having something similar to Trinity Symbols and 101 Dalmatians as collectors

- Having a musical world like Atlantica in KHII

- Having weak and useless party members regardless of the number

- Not putting Attraction Flow and Limit Attacks on separate chosable menu instead of popping up as Situation Command

- Inability to explore and play in both Castle Oblivion and Destiny Islands

- Changing the Land of Departure to a simple and boring name such as Cable Town

- Master Xehanort’s boss fight not exceeding the epic battle of Xemnas’s from KHII

- Not being able to visit the Coliseum in Olympus and not having Cups there

- Not covering what happens to Zack Fair

While I have confidence in KH3 being a great or decent game, there are some concerns, which I'll list here.:

-Xehanort's motive for wanting to 'balance' the Light and Darkness through a second Keyblade War, and how he fell into the way he was, if the motive ends up being evil for the sake of evil, then I'd consider that lazy and cliche, I hope they address his motive in this game.

-Balancing

-Story longevity; I hope the is 40 to 50 hours long, or as long as KH2's story, or around the 30 hour-mark to 37 hour mark or around any of these frames.

-Keyblade Graveyard; I hope we get to visit, and explore this World at some point before going to the location where the final battle takes place, because I want to see more of it, and explore it further.

My greatest fear is Roxas ending up a vessel.

Sora ending up a Xehanort or dies

Kingdom Hearts 3 ending up possibly being the final game

Lea and Kairi being together

No Sora vs Master Xehanort Final boss fight due to the fact the voice actor passed away my he find peace (By the way you is a good replacement voice actor for master Xehanort)

No Atlantis or treasure planet worlds and Pocahontas

Some how they use time travel or do something crazy to completely retcon the whole series or increasing the convoluted mess we have

So thoughs are my fears

Many things said here seem more like wishes other than greatest fears. If I were to go on for wishes, I could write a whole book about them since I have maaany wishes for it. But nonetheless, KHIII would be already epic even it being as it is. Also, for simple fears or hopes, they aren't that bad, despite that it won't affect the game that much. Yet still, it's understandable that we want this to be the best close-up of all characters' stories. For example, the background of the not-yet shown somebodies of the members of the Organization are a bit necessary for us to understand/know them better.

For worlds, I have a hunch that 100 Acre Wood may make it since it has a lot of minigames, but I wish they aren't as hard as previous ones to complete.

For the pirates world, I am almost certain that Jack will be an ally. At least, I hope so.

Important worlds such as The World that Never Was and The Keyblade Graveyard should be playable given their impact on the whole storyline of the game.

Things I am okay with:

Luxu's storyline not being mentioned or something. If so happens, I am certain it'll be talked about later on next installments.

Tragic or bittersweet endings. But it is only about preferences anyway.

Master Eraqus or Ansem the Wise not reappering. I know they are important, but I believe they have already fulfilled their roles

But anyways, those are just my opinions. Fortunately enough KHIII will be epic enough even without those things above. However..

Now for greatest fears,

No KairixLea please. I know they have almost the same colour hair, but please no.

If the tournaments of the Coliseum not make it, I will be really mad.

Bring up the super duper hard difficulty for insane players please. (jk)

Many minigames are good. but only if they aren't difficult to complete.

Getting no gameplay DLC, such as strong strong keyblades, would make me sad. Buuut, the Ultima Weapon should be adquired without DLC of course.

And last, but not last,

N o M u s h r o o m s X I I I p l e a s e

Edit: Oh my, I even forgot to talk about Xion. I guess that is no coincidence.

The hundred acres world returning makes sense do to the lore from the mobile browser game Union Cross. That book is just like the book of prophecies. The hundred acres book must have been apart of the ancient book but some how became its own story. I hope malifcent tries to steal the book to make it important for that world to return!

My biggest fear is that it comes out with a half completed story, throws a bunch of out of nowhere plot twists (more ridiculous and less sense than DDD), and most of the story has to be bought via DLC to truly enjoy the game... I'd be even more disappointed than I was with FFXV (initially, I'm fine with it now)

Kairi and Lea/Axel end up together. (Worst fear.).

Jack Sparrow not a playable ally.

No boss fight against Davy Jones.

No boss fight against Randall.

Randall and Davy Jones are already confirmed to be boss fights, and Jack sparrow was already shown as a party member.

My main personal fear is that it runs so and so on the OG PS4, though 0.2 ran fine to me and seeing the kh3 is smoother eases that thought.

Another fear is that neither Lilo and stitch or Wall-E are in the game.

My only real fear is that Osaka team will screw the pooch with combat and ability progression again. This game has the potential to surpass II, but that's dependent on Osaka getting their crap together and fixing the issues present in the demo.

Kairi and Lea/Axel end up together. (Worst fear.).

No passionate romantic moment between both Sora and Kairi.

These basically sum up all my fears.  If Sora and Kairi don't end up together after all of the build-up and teasing that has been done in the previous games, I'm gonna punch a baby.

That being said, I've been put a little at ease since Kairi's Japanese voice actor read some lines during the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour that are canon to Kingdom Hearts III, and they were basically a letter to Sora in which she apologized to him for leaving without saying goodbye, informed him on everything going on during her training, and encouraged him to stay the same Sora she knows as he sets off to save those tied to his heart.  Not only does Kairi writing a letter to Sora to fill him in on what's going on with her put me at ease, but she also mentions Lea/Axel in that letter, but only to say that they started talking and that she can't bring herself to hate him, which makes me think that she and Lea/Axel will be nothing more than friends.

In addition to the canon dialogue that was read at the orchestra, I was also put at ease by the credits for Kingdom Hearts 2.8, which showed a montage of all of the couples that have appeared in the series so far, a montage that ended by showing all of the Sora and Kairi moments, and since Kingdom Hearts 2.8 was meant to directly lead into Kingdom Hearts III, I'm guessing that means we have nothing to fear.

Finally, the last thing that put me at ease is that Lea/Axel is an adult while Kairi is still a teenager (he was basically the age Kairi is now while she was still a little girl in Birth by Sleep), so it would be weird if they became anything more than friends.

It might seem like I'm obsessing over this a little bit (which I probably am), but I have wanted to see Sora and Kairi finally get together officially for years now, and I don't want to have my hopes and dreams crushed.  But I suppose, if they don't end up together, I will be fine with it as long as it is done well.

I love this fight so much, especially the epic version of Davy Jones' theme playing in the background at the beginning of their fight!  Since Nomura said in a recent interview that the fight against Davy Jones will be included, I can't wait to see what it will look like!  My guess is that it will start with us jumping from ship to ship as we fight swarms of Heartless and cursed pirates while Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones fight on the mast of the Flying Dutchman.  Then, once we defeat all of the enemies necessary to progress to the next stage of the fight, the part of Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones' fight where they fight on the deck of the ship will begin, which is when the real boss fight will begin as we join in the fight and help Captain Jack Sparrow defeat Davy Jones.

Dagesh Lane, i totally agree with you and i am also the same, as you on some of these opinions, Sora and Kairi hopefully will happen in Kingdom Hearts III, considering another factor put into all you mentioned are the Japanese Lyrics of Oath/Chikai.

I don't know if I have any fears per say, but there are some things I am a little nervous about. Most of these have to do with the overall plot:

- The story ends up being extremely confusing and convoluted, random plot twists, random new characters popping up to add unneeded conflict and storyline (OK, this is not too back if it's just a little cameo or something to hint at a coming game, but if it's for plot in KH3 I think that would be a little much)

- The problem with too many characters is that some will most likely not get the screen time and/or development that they need. Like I'm OK with some of the characters only having cameos (like some of the old organization) but if characters like Kairi and Lea get shoved into the background I'm gonna be kinda angry, especially with Kairi cause she really needs more development or I dunno SOMETHING.

-A a slightly smaller worry, that Hercules is the only 2D Disney movie to get a world.

I'm hoping for Aladdin and the King of Thieves to finally settle the Aladdin Trilogy once and for all, it makes sense that way, plus, either Saix or Demyx could make an appearance in that World.

I honestly don't have that many fears for KH3. I'm practically 100% confident that the game will be fantastic in every way! However, considering what KH3 actually is, I do have a few nit-picky things I'm worried about.

While I actually fully expect someone in KH3 to die, I'm really hoping its not a cop out kind if death like Kairi or even Sora, as Kairi dying would serve no purpose or be a lame or obvious Sora motivator. And Sora dying would be the worst anti-climatic ending. If something ever were to happen to Sora, he should either become a vessel, a la Terra, or go the way of Aqua and have someone come and rescue him. I just don't want a death in the game to be for lame reasons.

The very ending boss fight be a cop out. I want a full on, Lord of the Rings Return of the King type final ending! (Not really, but you know what I mean). KH1's final boss was both hard af, but also a bit of a cop out. xD KH2's final boss was long as heck, but epic, mad cap and intense! However, I would like more help than just Riku. xD So, I'm just worried that KH3's final boss will have a crazy hard first form/stage, but an easy/lazy final stage. I want a WAR for my final boss! xD

The game having so much story content, that not all of the major questions/plot holes will be resolved. If we never find out where Larxene, or any of the other Org. members come from, or how they became Nobodies, I'm fine with that. If we never see or hear from Luxu, or find out exactly WHY Vanitas is back while Ventus still sleeps, then there's going to be major problems. Basically, I want all major plotlines tied to the central story resolved.

This may sound dumb, but another thing I'm worried about is the game getting delayed again for unforeseen circumstances and it not coming out until later in the spring or early summer. >.<

If either Sora or Kairi die I would be extremely angry not only cause it would make me sad but if either of them dies it would seem like the developers just trying to be edgy and/or be motivation for other characters. It would just seem....a little off to me. I would not like Lea or Roxas dying either cause it already happened, with Lea "dying" like twice. The only characters I think would "fit" having a death would be Riku or any of the Wayfinder trio. Don't get me wrong, I would be upset about anyone dying, but those are the characters I feel would, I don't know, make more sense to die? Like it would fit in their character arcs or something?

these two are one of my main concerns, nomura HAS to know that the love between sora and kairi that was always hinted at or very VERY subtle is something very special that he cant ruin now. It is so good because it is so believable and so well done but now I want it to be serious, I want a similar moment to that of Luna and tidus in the lake It would be perfect. The other main concern is that the story wont add up He promised us that this game would answer all questions and complete this saga and to think that there could be plot holes or anything that could not add up  in the end despite the fact that the man had Years and years timewould be painfull, really painfull.

I don't have any 'fears' plot wise. As long as the saga is completed in a satisfactory way I'm happy. End of the day, whilst this is this is the end of a saga, we should also be looking at the future. That being said, from people's gameplay, interviews and general observations I have a few gameplay 'fears'.

1) Most importantly is that white light  which runs up the walls of areas you can run up- that was extremely distracting and actually took me out of the environment.

2) Worlds taking too long- whilst the exploration will be fun in this game, both during and after the story, I don't want the worlds to drag on longer than needed. No doubt everyone has worlds they can spend hours in, others don't have the sam effect. Thus, I'm hoping the plot advances smoothly and doesn't force players to spend ages in one location.

3) Boss Lengths- I never really considered this an issue in previous titles, however in the last trailer the heartless boss had 17 bars of health. If we have to ride the heartless to reach the boss, only to fall in the water and repeat this will take ages to complete, and this would not only reduce the enjoyment of the game during the fight, but from a second play through perspective. If we know 'Boss X' in 'World..' is time-consuming, repetitive and frustrating then there is a risk that you'll spend the world hating to fight that boss.

I really don't want the worlds to take too long either. One of the problems with open world games. It would be nice to have them a little bit longer than some of the past games, but I really don't wanna spend like 12 hours in one world for the main story line at least.
