Dagesh Lene 366 Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) I have seen a lot of reactions to Aqua's reveal in the Frozen trailer. A lot of people think that this was a big spoiler that should not have been put in any of the trailers. However, Nomura has said in interviews that he is surprised that people are surprised that she has fallen to the darkness. Now, whether or not he is surprised because we should have seen it coming or because he knows what's going to happen so he didn't think it was a big surprise, I think the point to take away from these comments is that Nomura didn't think that it was a big spoiler for the game. It has become clear to me after reading his interviews that he is being very careful about what information he releases to the public. He has said that there are even bigger surprises in store for us that he doesn't want to reveal. So, even if he didn't realize what a big shock Aqua's reveal would be for us, he obviously didn't think it was a big enough spoiler to keep it hidden from us. Because of that, I don't think that Aqua's reveal was as big of a spoiler as some people think it is, but I guess we will find out if this is true once the game is released. SnowPint7Fourths 432 Posted June 25, 2018 I'm sick of this Aquanort crap. I don't think it was a huge spoiler because I don't think she'll stay like that and Sora will save her hence why Nomura showed that scene. Also HMK needs to grow up when a 26? year old man is having serious arguments with people on Twitter about it, he's a child and I don't like him. Dustin Lübbers 933 Posted June 25, 2018 No i dont think so because mickey and riku start their journey in the realm of darkness so it probably onenof the First things they are going to see 1 Dagesh Lene reacted to this
Movies798 1,358 Posted June 25, 2018 In my opinion, it was a spoiler and yes I know Nomura said that KH3 will have lots of surprises and twists. But to me I would've like it better if I find out about that twist when I play the game when it releases. But since I know what happens to Aqua I'm no longer excited to look for Aqua in the Realm of Darkness since I know that she's fallen into darkness. It would've been a cool jaw dropping moment though. I actually agree with Dustin Lübbers that it will happen early on in the game. I have said this in a few of my posts already, but in the E3 Showcase trailer, we see Riku and King Mickey return to Mysterious Tower, which means that they must have finished their mission in the Realm of Darkness. However, Sora is shown to still be wearing his Kingdom Hearts II outfit, meaning that he hasn't received his new outfit yet. This must mean that Riku and King Mickey return from the Realm of Darkness after we complete Olympus, but not before we go to the next world since I doubt that we will visit more than Olympus (and maybe Mysterious Tower as we return to Master Yen Sid) in our Kingdom Hearts II outfit. This means that the Aqua reveal may happen after we complete the first world of the game, or maybe even before that. And if that's true, then we may not even get to look for Aqua in the Realm of the Darkness unless Riku and King Mickey's mission in the Realm of Darkness is the tutorial at the very beginning of the game. And if Aqua's reveal is at the beginning of the game, then it's probably not as big of a spoiler as people think it is. I don't think the realm of darkness will be a tutorial mission because Twilight Town has been confirmed to be a tutorial world. That's cool but it doesn't matter because my excitement to know what happen to Aqua in the realm of darkness is dead and since they revealed what happen to Aqua in the Frozen trailer I won't feel anything tense or surprises once she says "Mickey you're too late." That's cool if you and other people think it's not a spoiler but to me it's was spoiler. Edited June 25, 2018 by Movies798
Azure Flame 670 Posted June 25, 2018 The way I see it is that it all depends on the person and their mindset. Some people can understand that it's something that will probably be shown right away, so they don't see it as a spoiler. However, I can also see it from the other perspective. Think of it this way: You know that feeling you got when you first watched the trailer and saw the reveal at the end, how shocked and surprised you were. Well, now imagine you're playing the game and that scene comes up. Most likely you'll be like "Oh yeah, this is the Dark Aqua reveal." and won't be as surprised. Some people would rather get that initial feeling while playing the game, but since they experienced it during the trailer, they'll never get that same feeling while playing the game. So, reguardless of when in the game it will happen, some people still consider it a big spoiler, because they wanted to be able to react to it during the actual playthrough of the game. 2 Dagesh Lene and Movies798 reacted to this
ocean's rage 772 Posted June 25, 2018 i think theres to much context missing for to really be a spoiler 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
Isaix 924 Posted June 25, 2018 Everything we see in a trailer is technically a spoiler. To me it was obvious that she would fall in darkness,so it wasn't that shocking to see and she probably won't stay like this,we all know Sora and gang will save Ven,Terra and Aqua,so it's really no big deal to me 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted June 25, 2018 The reason Nomura is surprised is literally because we reacted this way to something that we literally should have expected. Aqua has been in the Realm of Darkness for over 10 years. Did you really expect her to hold out all those years? It's shocking because we didn't really expect it, but it's also something we should have known would happen. In a way it's not a big spoiler. I mean honestly, Nomura and his teams have never been good on scenario. For instance, Chain of Memories spends a lot of time pushing the fact that Sora's memories are being replaced over time and while it's much harder to control an obvious plot point, when Larxene reveals the grand master plan to Sora, he's super shocked and unfortunately for the player, we knew for so long that we can't even relate to Sora by that point. KeybladeMasterBalo 504 Posted June 25, 2018 Don't know why people is considering it as a Spoiler, the major surprise is that we didn't see that one coming and this sure changes things, I mean we thought we just needed to get her out but this got more complicated now, but this fact is still not revealing anything at all so it's not a spoiler, it just creates an exciting environment. 1 Dagesh Lene reacted to this
Tyranto Rex 277 Posted June 25, 2018 I have been thinking about this and thinking about people saying they are revealing too much. I personally disagree because 1. We really don't know much about anything, just little snippets here and there. Honestly we are only just now getting information about the plot when the game is coming out in about 7 months. 2. They can't just not market the game. I saw someone say they did not want anymore trailers but that would be a terrible idea because they have to keep the hype up and market the game. And 3. I feel like they are gonna show all the seekers of darkness anyway. 1 Dagesh Lene reacted to this
kingdomlanelover 494 Posted June 25, 2018 I don't think Nomura would put any major spoilers in the trailers. Most of the stuff you are seeing is happening very early in the game. 2 Dagesh Lene and Tyranto Rex reacted to this
Smithee 327 Posted June 26, 2018 (edited) As if 0.2 didn't feel depressing and futile enough, now it turns out to have just delayed the inevitable? Granted, this isn't nearly as bad as when 3D's "time-traveling Horcruxes" asspull reveal suddenly invalidated everything you'd done since KH1... but is nevertheless another optimism-dampener for KH3. VisitJoan 2,713 Posted June 26, 2018 How much do you want to bet that Nomura is trolling us with this whole Aqua thing? I wouldn’t put it past him. But sersiously, If Aqua shows up in the trailer, there is probably a very good reason for it. 1 Dagesh Lene reacted to this
Darth De Jesus 8 Posted June 27, 2018 I would say it is a spoiler for sure but we won’t know how big for sure until we of course play the game. I’m sure that was just one of many big twists that we’ll see in the game. If it gets any worse than that I think we may meed to bring extra tissue boxes out. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted June 28, 2018 Well, aside from the surprise factor, I'm sure that Nomura showed the whole Aquanort segment to us to keep people invested and interested in how Kingdom Hearts III's story will evolve, ya know? So while the whole Aquanort segment was indeed a spoiler, hey, I still enjoyed the hell out of that reveal!
