KH1 Do you guys defeat Leon or just lay dead?

My usual tactic is to Attack when he shoots his fireball+attack when he does his melee combo: either way you pretty much win. Because you block and or deflect: then full combo.

 

Dodge roll away from his melee combo if ya can.

I managed to defeat him on expert, I was like "FFFF-" He's pretty easy really, you just have to time yourself. I usually run like hell, attack, run like hell, attack.. and so forth. But he's fun to fight though, right?

When i was recording KH1 for the site. DChiuch made me defeat Leon cause he wanted all the footage.

Man i watched that Cutscene before the fight about 30 times.

I defeat him all the time, he's pretty easy.

I don't even use items.

 

Just need to jump at him a lot.

A Elixir at that time in the game is worth it.

I've done it, but for some reason I get this feeling I was over leveled when I fought him, level 9 or higher, because that is when I got the Guard ability, I just don't know how many times I should fight like Tidus or what ever, plus I also had my question choices arranged so I would level up quickly until around level 40, then I would level up slowly from then on.

Off topic; Why is everyone so overlevelled in the first KH game, i was level 5 when i beat the boss in traverse town (i forgot the name of the boss) but everyone seems to level up so much in the game, and i seem to be levelling up about ten times slower then everyone else ifailbadlylol

 

On topic; Leon's easy to beat, even on Proud mode, he has a really obvious attack pattern and its easy to dodge and attack with

That boss is called the Guard Armor.

I did...it did take some time to actually since i was only young all i did was focus on hitting him epicily but i keep running out of MP for cure >.< so...yup a month later i focused on blocking and etc ;D

No way, Tidus is by far the best grinder, just time your attacks to collide with his and if you do it right, you get 2 experience points, pure easiness, plus he gives off 2 experience points upon defeat, making him the best opponent.

Huh, never knew about that, I know that Wakka will give 2 exp for his power throw, but his are a pain to block, so I always fought Tidus (Why does it have to be said Teedus instead of how it's generally spelled, Tidus)

The first time I lost, but the second I won with slight difficulty, since he was just at leve 3 or 4 maybe. Anyway Sora gave Squall a very hard time even though he had just received the keyblade .

I beat him by jumping over his fire spell I took quite a bit of damage after closing with him but I kept hitting him with key blade and ended up victorious then I fainted what a let down then he says why would the key blade choose me excuse who just won our fight.
