Kingdom Hearts III Is Like The "Infinity War" Of the KH Universe!

Really! Think about it!

 

Lol, hey everyone, I hope all of you are doing okay! So then, after watching Infinity War a second time, and well, going so far as to mention the very first trailer of the film, and then seeing the second trailer, the film's premise and tone overall reminded me a lot of Kingdom Hearts III! And when it comes to the matter of things, we could consider Kingdom Hearts III as the "Infinity War" of the Kingdom Hearts Universe! Think about it!

 

The game will basically be bringing characters from all entries of the series, good and bad in order to tie up loose ends and to be witness to the greatest battle of all time, the biggest threat Sora and friends have faced! Just like how Thanos wants to collect the Infinity Stones to bring balance to the universe, (It's not a spoiler since Gamora herself mentioned this in the trailer for the film.) Xehanort wants to gather the seven Lights and thirteen Darknesses in order to forge the X-Blade to unlock Kingdom Hearts's power in order to rid the universe of the "tyranny of light" and bring balance!

 

Just like in Infinity War, we are expecting casualties in the Keyblade War! Really, I like how similar the two stories are, even though they are different universes!

 

And knowing that Kingdom Hearts III will be the swan song of the Xehanort Saga, it's gonna be an epic finale, just like Infinity War and Avengers 4 next year will be the end of Phase 3 of the MCU and bring an end of an era!

 

What do you all think? Do you also think the comparisons are similar?

Now imagine a Avengers world in KH3... Biggest crossover ever.

 

One thing Infinity War did good was that every hero got its spotlight and the pacing was excellent, something I fear for KH3.

 

Of course a movie is relatively short in comparison to a video game, so Infinity War couldn't really have time to go more in depth and show more character interaction. I expect KH3 to be better in this aspect and it needs to take it's time and tell the story without rushing things.

Considering gow Nomura said KHIII will begin almost immediately, it's hard to say that the game won't be rushing the story lol. Not but seriously I never saw any of the KH games feeling rushed at all, so KHIII being one of the major titles doesn't make it a candidate for a rushed story.

 

On to the topic, yeah, there are similarities but I highly doubt any casualties will happen in the game compared to the film.

Well the apocalyptic sense of KH3 certainly puts it in the same boat as Avengers Infinity War so in that sense yes it is.

Indeed so, and that's a good point you make there! Both events were teased and hyped up over the years, and now, on the same year, we get the culmination of everything we've experienced beforehand!

Yeah, exactly, Nomura knows how to pace his stories, so I'm sure Kingdom Hearts III will follow suit!
