Hear me out here. So a while ago someone posted a release date speculation thread, and in that thread I responded with a theory of my own. I've put it in spoiler tags to cut down on the size of my wall, but I'd recommend reading it cos this is gonna get juicy (hopefully).

I think we should go back to the calendar for this. (Bear with me here)

Now I'm going to be reaching A LOT here, but like i said before, bear with me.

If we take the calendar as the 1st of the month being a Thursday, the months that fit the bill the best is March and July 2018. November 2018 ALSO starts on Thursday the 1st, however it only has 30 days but let's not let that discourage us.

If the 1st is a Friday, then it matches with June 2018. This is the only occurrence of a Friday the 1st.

Now if we really want to shake things up, Lets say the calendar starts on a Saturday (very rare I know) which would make Wednesday the 1st. The only month that matches this is August 2018.

BUT WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN.

The calendar was in the 2015 E3 trailer. With the power of interviews and hindsight on my side, we can infer that at this point they must have recreated all the assets that they lost while transferring the game to the U4 engine and production was full steam ahead. This could lead credence to the July 2018 release date, which in 2015 must have been a safe bet.

This is supported by the fact that Japanese calendars generally start with a Sunday. But that is unlikely to be the case.

So the next possible release window is November 2018. But we may still get new information in July. I really do believe that it was meant to be released in July but that seems unlikely now. And November is being backed by the Target kerfuffle.

Just my 2 quids

Now I've just seen something else that caught my attention.

In the D23 trailer we got to see Toy Story, and a big part of it was Galaxy Toys. There was also a leaflet for Galaxy Toys in Andys room that would be reminiscent to many of us, who didn't circle toys in a catalogue? Anyway this is besides my point, here's the picture :

post-55933-0-08228100-1524815707_thumb.png

Now first off let's talk about the multi coloured circle. Unlike practically every other price, which are all at $x.97/98 cents, this toy is priced at $12.80.

If we were to convert that to a date it becomes 12th of August, or 8th of December. Both seem plausible release dates at this stage but there's a lot of blockbuster games coming out in Autumn/Winter, is Square gonna risk that?

Or are they going for a curveball no one will expect?

In the spoiler tags, I mentioned that the two months that perfectly fit the calendar are March and July 2018. It's April now so we can safely disregard March. July 2018 on the other hand is a whole nother game.

In the black circle are a group of dolls called 'julia's' priced at $20.18.

2018, ok great that sounds reasonable enough we've been expecting that.

Julia? Could that be a reference to July? Is Nomura giving us a hint? And there's three of them.

3rd July 2018 guys. Something is gonna go down.

Whether it's a release date or an important trailer I don't know, but there's no way all of this is coincidence.

What do you think?

I'd also like to thank the KH reddit for the 3 Julia's

also, this may be a coincidence, but for some reason, MOST of the kh concerts are located in the month of July.  It definitely wasn't like this last year, so it got me in a similar line of thinking. Besides June being the month of focus for kh3 news, July may become an important month too.

Japanese release dates:

KH1 Release Date: 27th March 2002

Passion: 14th December 2005

KH2 Release Date: 22th December 2005

Oath: 27th June 2018

KH3 Release Date: ________________ (fill in the gap)

6th July 2018 if we follow the sequence

Guys, don't go too deep with this. If KH3 was releasing in July, then we would know the release date by now since SE likes to announce dates 6 months prior to release.

so at the end, a quarter 4 release date is way more likely then a quarter 2 release date. Got it.

Also, going by that logic. If kingdom hearts 3 were to get a release date in June, that would mean it would release in December?

I'm not that sure tbh. I mean, announcing a release date a month prior (E3) the date itself? Commercially speaking, I wouldn't really get a move that could potentially come as such a surprise for anyone. And not to be forgotten, but we're still missing things like a boxart   :/

Of course, I'm fully on board with a November release date myself, but I feel that this is a lot of circumstantial findings leading to one thing, it can't be coincidence at this point can it? Maybe it's a new trailer or something equally important, but I really do believe July will be an important month. I guess we'll wait and see :)

I have always believed that the earliest KHIII would release is July 13th, as it would be a symbolic reference to the 13 Darknesses and the 7 Lights! The thirteenth day of the seventh month! So, if we go by that, it could be one potential release date, but I think that the latest and most likeliest bet of getting the game would be November. I find that month to be the likeliest month we'll get the game, though September is always a good candidate as well! But with the amount of games coming out in September, it could be crowded competition for KH, since Spyro and Spider-Man release in that month!

So yeah, either July or November are the winners!

Also, I agree, there's a lot of hints and sneaky coincidences here and there, and maybe we've known the release date all along, maybe it's been under our very noses! But we won't know until Nomura speaks up, ya know?

Guys, let’s calm down a bit. Now let’s thinks about it, Nomura said that before the game would be released, all the worlds that would be in it would have to be revealed in the upcoming trailers. So far, we only know 7 worlds and Nomura-san said that there would at least be 10. By going on that trend, with one world being revealed in each upcoming trailer, it is safe to say that the game would be released somewhere in Fall. To add to this, if Nomura seriously intended to release the game in the Summer, he should already have said so at the D23 2018 expo in Japan since those two are basically about 6 months apart.

But, the thing Is, do they really have to follow the 6 month pattern for every game they release?

Especially considering the fact that there was a THREE month gap between the release date announcement and release of kingdom hearts 2 (Japanese version)

I think the release date will be 31 October it's perfect themed for KH3.

I think also that it this time will be released worldwide.

Yeah, October could be reasonable!

And Nomura had already stated that III would have a worldwide release, and if the games weren't to release simultaneously, he stated that the Japanese and International versions would only be at least a few days or a week apart, by most! So rest reassured, the game will release for everyone worldwide without having to wait months and avoid spoilers at every turn!
