The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 26, 2018 I am not going to lie, the design for Venom looks much better compared to Sam Raimi's rendition in Spider-Man 3, which I will say really ruined it for me back then! But this design looks definitely more in line with the comics, with him even having the tongue and everything! And his voice sounds monstrous like how he sounded in the cartoons back in the 90's! I'm definitely hoping he has a bulky body build, like he's supposed to! As for the film itself, it has some exciting prospects, like how the symbiote is being treated here as a tool to help evolve humanity because of the bonding elements the symbiote has with its host. But what irks me is that this Venom won't be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that saddens me greatly, since Venom is one of Spidey's biggest enemies aside from Green Goblin! If Venom would've been part of the MCU, he could've been alluded to in Infinity War! Because since Peter is going to space to battle Thanos, it'd only make sense that after he comes back from space, he ends up having the symbiote latch onto him without him noticing, like what happened to him in the comics after the events of Secret Wars! And then, the symbiote could've been further teased upon in Spidey's second film coming after Avengers 4, which then could've built up to Venom upon a possible third film! But alas, with the whole Sony debacle, they're taking liberties when it comes to other characters in the Spiderverse. Overall, I wish Venom would've been in the MCU. But hey, let's hope this film gives the anti-hero Venom the justice he deserves! And Tom Hardy's in the lead, so this should be interesting, at the very least! I'll be honest; I was one of the few people who enjoyed Spiderman 3's rendition of Venom. Yeah, he was pretty scrawny, but I personally felt that Topher Grace did a decent job. Not fantastic, but I thought he was good. As a whole, I thought Venom looked great. But seeing this trailer, oh yeah, this looks to be a major success! He's being played by Tom Hardy which is pretty much the perfect persona for this role physique-wise. I still don't think he'll be as big as Venom was in the comic books, because if I remember correctly in the comic books he was freaking HUGE, but this is about as close as you can get. And I agree, seeing the tongue is awesome! I'm excited! Overall, I wish Venom would've been in the MCU. But hey, let's hope this film gives the anti-hero Venom the justice he deserves! So we might actually get to see this Venom take on Tom Holland's Spider Man. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

I just personally disliked how Sony treated the Venom character back then. X3 And well, as long as Venom is portrayed as closely as he is to the comics, that'll be enough for me. And I would think that Sony can manage to make CGI for Venom to be at least Hulk or Thanos sized! That's what I'm hoping for, at least! Oh, is that so? Well, if that's the case, it'd be pretty dang awesome if Venom connected to the MCU somehow! after deadpool I am very optimistic regarding Sonys marvel movies Actually, Deadpool is from Fox, not Sony.
