What's your favorite 3D Mario game?

Out of all of these, the only one I've played is 3D Land for the 3DS, ya know?

 

From the 2D side of things, I've played Super Mario Bros. 3, a little bit of Super Mario World along with Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins and New Super Mario Bros!  I've also played the Mario and Luigi RPG, Superstar Saga!  I should play more of the Mario games when I have the chance, the ones I want to play the most being the rest of the RPG series of Mario games!

SM64 and SMO. The former one out of nostalgic reasons, and because I love all the hidden secrets. The latter one because I truly enjoyed playing it, and because it wasn't as predictable and repetitive as previous Super Mario games ;D

Super Mario 64,the 1st one and still the best,I love the exploration and the millions ways you can collect each stars,the levels are fun to explore with the long jumps and wall jumps and all that stuff.

 

Odyssey is close second,it could have EASILY been my favorite Mario game,but it was held back mostly for it's easy difficulty,I died a couple times of course but I never really felt any challenge until post-game and it's a shame

 

3D World was awesome,it's one of the best Mario game but this too was held back by it's difficulty and here it's a bigger flaw then it was in Odyssey because it's a linear platformer,levels NEED to be challenging ,it felt too easy again until post-game,but the first 8 worlds should be challenging too.3D World was awesome,but I prefer the more open 3D Mario games.

 

The Galaxy games are amazing too,but they have the exact same problems as 3D World but worst,the Galaxy games are BEYOND too easy(with a few exception,some stars were challenging to collect of course)

 

Never played 3D Land and probably never will,it looks like a worst and uninspired version of 3D World

 

And Sunshine,it's easily my least favorite Mario game to play,everytime I think about this game I remember how tedious flood and A LOT of the missions were,I can never go back to that game

Super Mario 64 is one of the first videogames I ever remember playing.  I played it at a friends house and we basically just slid down the ice slide the entire time.  Because of that, it will always hold a special place in my heart.  Plus, I think that it is the best Mario game ever made.

I loved odyssey completed it jusr recently though I liked Galaxy better because of the feeling of freedom and just the vastness of the universe I love when games do that

wind waker and Breath of the wild did that to. I feel like odyssey was going a step back which makes sense since where are you supposed to go after you went to space?

SM64 was always a favourite but mostly based on nostalgia and not actual game itself in whole.

SMGalaxy is still my all-time favourite due to the size and layout of the game. The overall gameplay wasn't the best but it was a lot fun.

I'm sure if I got the opportunity to play Odyssey, I would probably like it a lot. Since I don't own a Switch I can't say anything about Odyssey.

If there was a something else option, I would've added one Mario I remember playing growing up. This is probably an unpopular choice, but I did love Mario Golf on N64. By live, I actually meant the music LOL The gameplay was alright, but it was the music that resonated with me. Oddly enough, that game is one of the reasons why I love rain. Who knew?

 

That being said, aside that, I technically never played a lot of Mario games. I was able to play a little bit of Super Mario 64 from a friend and a bit of Mario kart on GameCube from another buddy of mine. But that's pretty much it LOL
