It's hard to argue which game has the best soundtrack, considering that each installment in the series has memorable tunes all throughout! In the first Kingdom Hearts, for instance, there's Forza Del Male, Guardando Nel Buio, Destati, Treasured Memories, and the world themes, of course! For Re:Chain Of Memories, I think that all three of Marluxia's themes: The Graceful Assassin, Scythe Of Petals and Lord Of The Castle, are insanely good and memorable! And that's the game that first introduced us The 13th Struggle! In Birth By Sleep there's Dismiss, Rage Awakened-The Origin, Destiny's Union, (Which is my absolute favorite feels worthy track.) Aqua, Ventus and Terra's themes, Black Powder and Enter The Darkness, among others! I could keep going on and on, but you all get my point. xD

That said though, the KH game with the best soundtrack definitely has to go to Kingdom Hearts II! It's where a great majority of the most iconic Kingdom Hearts music is, including such grand themes such as Vim And Vigor, Rowdy Rumble, The Encounter, Sinister Sundown, Desire For All That Is Lost, A Fight To The Death, Darkness Of The Unknown, Rage Awakened plus the world themes, particularly He's A Pirate from Port Royal! And yes, even the Little Mermaid songs are awesome! So yeah, KHII has hands down got the best soundtrack!

DDD has some savage themes too, like L'Oscurita Dell Ignoto and both the normal and battle themes for La Cite De Cloches and The Country Of The Musketeers! :D

Kingdom hearts 2 was were everything was Improved by a 100% so yes I agree (although to me the first game will always be the best one for melancholic reasons)

Yeah, the soundtrack definitely took a turn for the cinematic and epic in Kingdom Hearts II! Sometimes you'll find me looking for tracks in Youtube so I can listen to the epic orchestrations of the beautiful Ms. Shimomura at work!
