Joey Mancini 10 Posted January 27, 2018 So I'm wondering about Terra; if a somebody's nobody and heartless are defeated that person becomes whole again, so why hasn't Terra regained his body after the *multiple* defeats of Xehanort (heartless) and Xemnas (nobody)? I know that DDD got pretty convoluted with the plot so if I missed the part where they explain this already my bad, just looking for some insight! Thanks! Finn and vigor 287 Posted January 27, 2018 It never was explained so we'll probably find out how o save Terra in KH3. Although my guess is that the Lingering Will has something to do with it.

I know that DDD got pretty convoluted with the plot so if I missed the part where they explain this already my bad, just looking for some insight! Thanks! A note before I start explaining Terra's location, the members of the organization that appeared in Dream Drop Distance were simply time travelers and they weren't actually existing from the first place (as young Xehanort said, he gathered different forms of himself from different timelines to attend at this day, referring to the events of 3D), they were merely a distraction while the actual forms are somewhere else. Now, as the nature of the series goes, since both Ansem and Xemnas were defeated, then Xehanort (the one with Terra's body and MX's heart or Terranort) has already revived somewhere and my guess is that he had revived in Radiant Garden before the others, which explains why he wasn't there when the others were awakening. Because Master Xehanort (the old coot) cannot exist separately since he is part of Terra right now and as I said, the MX that appeared in 3D was a time traveler but not the real self because the real self wouldn't live an additional 10 years to see the futuristic keyblade war (as what he has said in BBS) Thus, Terra is still trapped within the control of MX's heart and he is still part of Xehanort somewhere in the realm of light if not inbetween. 1 Nick Sideris reacted to this
Smithee 327 Posted January 29, 2018 (edited) A note before I start explaining Terra's location, the members of the organization that appeared in Dream Drop Distance were simply time travelers and they weren't actually existing from the first place (as young Xehanort said, he gathered different forms of himself from different timelines to attend at this day, referring to the events of 3D), they were merely a distraction while the actual forms are somewhere else. On the contrary: YX explicitly called that MX "my most future self" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmczqq7GQ2s), and the 3D Ultimania explicitly called it "the revival of Master Xehanort's true body" (https://i.imgur.com/UHqQPKK.jpg). And as for "wouldn't live an additional 10 years," his old body's vanishing in BBS likely preserved it Stop-style (or something). The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted February 1, 2018 That's something that I actually find quite interesting. My guess is that Terra was within the ranks of the new Organization, as one of the hooded members that came from a different point in time, because remember, when Terra-Xehanort became Ansem and Xemnas, we know not where his body perished, so we don't know whether Terra's heart freed itself and floated off aimlessly or if Xehanort remained in full control and was able to amass himself in an incorporeal form, like how Xehanort appeared as nothing more than a heart in Kingdom Hearts I, when he was in the brown robe! There's also a popular theory that Xehanort as we saw him in KH3D is Terra's body, but molded by Xehanort's heart into the old coot's appearance! Either that, or it's something else entirely. Elfdemon_ 695 Posted February 15, 2018 There's currently no answer as to why Xehanort got recompleted as his old man self rather than as Terra-Xehanort. But, it has been implied by Nomura in some interviews that it was done intentionally and will be explained in the future. My personal theory is that Terra-Xehanort was revived, but Xehanort was just simply having his body take on the appearance of his old man self. Bodies are very malleable. You can mold/shape them into different appearances. Which is what Ansem, Seeker of Darkness did in KH1 with Riku's body. He shaped it into one that's more to his likeness and became the Ansem, Seeker of Darkness we all know and love. I think it's possible Xehanort is doing something similar with the Terra-Xehanort body. Who knows though.
ocean's rage 772 Posted February 15, 2018 couldnt it just have been xehanort's heart returned to its original body rather than terra's?
