VisitJoan 2,713 Posted January 12, 2018 Yesterday we found out that my local Sam’s Club is closing. Turns out they closed yesterday. Apparently many people found out they had found out that they’re losing their jobs by showing up to work to a closed store. Who thought this was a good idea? What about the people who had medicine there? Or photos (I sersiouly want to show up to a club and say that I have photos at a closed location just to mess with them). This kinda affects me to. There’s no hope that I can compete with all those people for jobs when I have practally no experience. This world is messed up. 3 bfcm03, ninarr16 and The Transcendent Key reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted January 13, 2018 Wait, it's happening over there, too? A lot of Sam's Clubs over here in Puerto Rico closed up shop very suddenly as well, and people were taken aback by this, as they lost their jobs so suddenly! It's definitely messed up, because it was those jobs that kept their families well tended to! And now, to think they'll all be unemployed...it's messed up. I wonder why Sam's Clubs closed like that for no good reason?

I heard about the ones in Puerto Rico, that’s the last thing those people need. I heard that some of them are becoming distribution centers and everyone has to reapply for a job. Meanwhile Walmart is announcing pay raises and laying off workers. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
RikuFangirl2008 1,368 Posted January 13, 2018 I've heard about it. There's one Sam's Club location in the city I'm in is closing. The one we go a lot is still open. But that's messed up to hear that and the folks that lost their jobs there.

These people don't consider all the employees they're leaving jobless! It's truly something inconceivable! Laying off people is just unfair! But sadly, that's the state of the world as we know it. 1 VisitJoan reacted to this
