Exiblade7 1,917 Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Is the toy story world the only world in which Sora's appearance in it is canon? If not then is it the same with Big Hero 6 because we all know it's going to be a sequel of the movie? The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted January 9, 2018 That's something that I would like Nomura to confirm! Since he did state that the story of Toy Story's world in the game is canon to the films, it makes me curious as to what state that leaves the other worlds in? That's something that I'd definitely want to double check!
MAtgS 70 Posted January 9, 2018 The story events of TS1, TS2, & BH6 have already happened in the KH continuity, that's all there is to it. KH is not in continuity with the films themselves. 5 Exiblade7, JTD95, Dustin Lübbers and 2 others reacted to this

Not sure if I understand it entirely, if you don't mind Edited January 9, 2018 by Zeldablade7
Movies798 1,359 Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Every world in the Kingdom Hearts series is not canon to the films. The Disney/Pixar films and the Kingdom Hearts games are completely separated from each other. The story of the Big Hero 6 world in Kingdom Hearts 3 will take place after the events of the movie. But it's not really a true sequel to the film. It's not really canon to the film. Same thing with the Toy Story world. The story of the Toy Story world in Kingdom Hearts 3 will takes place after the events of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 but it will have it's own story that fit's within the Kingdom Hearts universe. All Nomura was saying is that the Toy Story world and the Big Hero 6 world in Kingdom Hearts 3 will not follow the same story of their films counterpart but instead the new worlds will have more "original content." Again the worlds in the Kingdom Hearts universe is not canon to the films. So the worlds in kh3 are not canon to the films, but the disney and pixar worlds in kh3 are canon to the kh universe? Yes all the Disney and Pixar worlds in the Kingdom Hearts series are not canon to the films. Like I said the movies and games are completely separated from each other. The Kingdom Hearts universe has it's own continuity and it's not connected to the films. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this

I always assumend that there are two kinds of disney worlds in the KH universe the first that is completly seperate from the movie Plot like say Haloween town in the first game and the second were the movie plays out normaly only that sora jumps in right in the middle like Tarzan. Of course within these Plots there are also deviations

Ehm, actually Nomura have confirmed that the story of the Toy Story world IS canon in the continuity of the movies, so this is the first case of something like that happened

Nomura can say it's canon as much as he wants but it ain't up to him. 1 Movies798 reacted to this

All Nomura was saying is that the Toy Story World in Kingdom Hearts 3 will have it's own story and it won't follow the same plot from the movies. Same thing with the Big Hero 6 world in KH3.
