Where the Apple Falls Re:Mix (Sign Ups/Discussion)

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. It is often when adolescents follow in the paths of their parents. They try to live up to the shadows their parents cast. As heroes and villains from many different tales live their lives, many opt to settle down and eventually have children. Despite this however, villains were still a threat and were exiled along with their families to live on an island known as the Badland. The heroes and their families populate a happy town in the mainlands.

 

As the years passed, it was questioned whether it was fair to allow the kin of the villains to live their lives exiled away on the island. And so the Second Chance Teenager Program was established. The program allows the children of the Island to come live in in the mainlands and have a chance to start a new life. There, the children will go to Kingdom Academy along with the other residents, and coexist with them.

 

You are an adolescent. You may be the child of a hero, or a villain. No matter what, the apple may not fall far from the tree… But you still have your own choices to make. And your own path to follow.

 

Rules:

You may claim two pairings as your own for your characters. (ReplikuxNamine: one pairing, XionxRoxas second pairing)

You may also have sibling characters with other roleplayers. You must ask permission and if they say no it's no. You may also offer to ‘share’ your pairings with other people so that they may have siblings with you characters.

You may have twins.

You may control the characters of the pairing you claimed (the parents) if you have a roleplayer who controls a sibling of the pairing you may allow them to control one parent or both parents.

Pairings must be at least somewhat practical and/or make sense. Pooh Bear cannot be with Anna from Frozen.

All Disney properties are allowed, including Disney animations such as American Dragon, etc.

No live action sitcoms from Disney Channel allowed.

All Kingdom Hearts characters allowed, including Final Fantasy characters featured in KH.

As for Final Fantasy characters, please use well known iconic Final Fantasy characters. Characters in the same game as characters featured in KH definitely allowed.

No Yaoi or Yuri pairings, sorry. Only exception to this if it's actually cannon or is at least hinted at.

RPN rules obviously apply.

Romance is PG-13

No God-Modding. You gotta lose sometime!
No killing characters or critically injuring them without permission.

No controlling other characters without permission.

Try to have at least five lines in a post. (It’s okay to have less here and there)

Abilities/Powers: Enjoys magic, especially a mixture of light and dark magic. Dawn also enjoys the art of sword fighting.

Personality: Dawn is a smart young woman. She’s a hard worker who would do anything do her friends and family. She also has a rather strong competitive side at times. She always looks out for others, quickly diffusing any situation that would’ve resolved into a fight. Despite this, she struggles showing her emotions and telling others how she feels. When pushed enough, Dawn will show her rage.

Bio: Kairi became pregnant with Dawn during a deep but very brief relationship with Riku. During her pregnancy, Kairi was attacked, causing Riku to fall into darkness due to his rage. Due to shame of still having Ansem holding his heart even all these years, as well as going on hard missions in other worlds to protect his home, Riku went on his own journey. As a result, Dawn grew up not knowing her father. She grew up with Sora as his father figure, as Sora and Kairi got together before she was born. Dawn has since lived a somewhat happy life, working hard in her studies. Despite this, deep down she questions why her father truly left her.

Personality: Dexter has much of his father’s aggressiveness and short temper when threatened. Because of this he will often get into fights with his father all the time. Deep down however, he is very insecure and inherits much of his mother’s softness and courage to do whatever it is that's right. As a result he will not tolerate bullying of any kind, but he often fails to defend himself.

Bio: Dexter grew up in Fatefaire and as a result he doesn't know much about the Forgotten Isle except for what he has heard about it. He often gets aggravated at how happy and bubbly some people act around him. Because of this he gained an interest in the Forgotten Isle, because he believes that there's more to the island than what he was told. Dexter’s relationship with his father is somewhat strained, as their temper do not mix well. Despite this, he deeply loves his family and will do whatever it takes to protect them.

Personality: He's both intelligent and stubborn practically speaking his personality is a mix of his parents which can be quite conflicting for him, he is stubbornly prideful and will go to any lengths to protect his friends and family or even to help innocent strangers, on the flipside though he seems to always find himself indulged in a book or staying on task keeping a calm and neutral stance on things and has a soft and kind-hearted nature to him, what makes him standout is his cunning and intelligence while unlike his parents he isn't a Keyblade Wielder it does stand to reason he could be one and has gone as far as to study the nature of the Keyblade and the heart one could say part of a past on his Fathers side, though his intentions are simple curiousity and knowledge on such subjects, ones that can become quite handy in a fight.

Bio: Born and raised his most notable thing is he took his mom's hair to some degree, but his father's physical appearance to some degree though far more lean and slim. He was never a troubled child though he wasn't actively social either perhaps his biggest fault he found the company of being alone and reading to be something far more fun, even when made to interact with others he was often the quiet one simply only voicing something when he needed to, one would expect so a person to be far more popular especially at being a prodigy user of magic and being able to control the darkness and even made his own weapon, ah but such things were for violenence something the boy strived to not bring about he saw it far more as a necessity than any actual goal or accomplishment. His relationship with his parents is his most social one for sure he loves them of course, however, he finds himself strained at times not being able to get advice from either of them at the current time and thus has fallen back on his books and amusingly needing to interact with people far more now.

The daughter of Prompto and Cindy, she grew up with two constants: Guns, and vehicles. Able to shoot, stab, or fix almost anything, she has grown quiet ever since the divorce. Hiding away in the family workshop or her room, or Cindy's Auto Stop running the counter. She doesn't have much, but she takes care of what she does. She acts like a sort of "big sister" to Lux, since they have almost the same sort of family issues: dads gone, for some reason, mothers busy. She tends to drive Lux to school.

He was immortal ever still, and laid toppled next to him was The Crystal of Lucis out of all the things. Strange, he would have thought it to be the heart of the world, but apparently not. With crystal and discarded hat in tow, he was cursed again to walk unfamiliar soil instead of moving on to the next life.

 

Eventually, Ardyn was able to smooth talk and charm his way into a rather fine home, for once everyone seemed to acknowledge his claims to being royalty. He spent a lot of time in the company of the crystal and no one else, talking to himself and reflecting over old bitter regrets. It was upon one of these nights that he was able to tap into the residual magic of the crystal. His original intent was to summon the spirit of his long since departed wife for some well-needed company, but the woman's ghost was disgusted in just how twisted a man he'd become over time and refused to appear. Angered, hurt and more lonely than ever, Ardyn's next attempt was to draw out the spirit of his unborn child from all that time ago. In this venture, he was mostly successful, but there was something about the child that felt like... Well, it shouldn't exist. Still, at long last, he was free from the contempt of the astral gods and had a son of... Well, what he at least would like to believe was his own flesh and blood.

 

Cynthus was raised as royalty in mannerism, but not in name, though Ardyn had made him aware that some constrained viewings of their family heritage would label him as a prince. Because of this, Cynthus has developed an inherent desire to be a leader or to rule over something. As of yet, he's not sure of what specific path he wants his future to take him, but the three years high school provides is the perfect span of time to think things over. The economic differences between Mainlands and Badlands in its current state disgust him. These people may be labeled as inherently evil, but he thinks fine men like his father deserve a place in the light and equal respect like anyone else would receive. As of such, he has a small but subtly present stigma for those from the mainland, only because he thinks they are entitled to better lives.

Abilities/Powers: Speed, teleportation, mastery of firearms and self-taught mastery of swords.

Personality: Carefree, somewhat aloof, and has an almost ridiculous hate of cabbages. And men with chobobobutt hair.

Bio:

The daughter of Prompto and Cindy, she grew up with two constants: Guns, and vehicles. Able to shoot, stab, or fix almost anything, she has grown quiet ever since the divorce. Hiding away in the family workshop or her room, or Cindy's Auto Stop running the counter. She doesn't have much, but she takes care of what she does. She acts like a sort of "big sister" to Lux, since they have almost the same sort of family issues: dads gone, for some reason, mothers busy. She tends to drive Lux to school.

Also, if anyone wants to claim more pairings go ahead. The two pairing rule is now over with since we got enough people to start. Before we do though I’m just gonna wait did Mystic to post her sheet. Also let me know if you guys want more pairings so I can jot them down. (Snow and Serah is taken for Mystic) Just be mindful of not taking on too many characters you can’t handle, and interact with everyone aside from your own characters yadayadayada

Name: Marina Mackenzie

Age: 9

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Parent(s): Aqua and Terra

Abilities/Powers: Not much is known of her abilities yet. She strives to learn magic and also knows small Cure spells. She also strives to be strong like her father.

Personality: Marina is completely a daddy’s little girl. She absolutely loves her parents as well as her older brother, although they can get into some arguments from time to time. She’s very sweet and kind, believing that everyone deserves a second chance. Despite this she is weary for her age, careful to not put her trust in strangers she does not know. Bubbly and happy, Marina loves when everyone around her has a smile on their face.

Bio: Marina grew up a happy child, loved by her parents and older sibling. She loves her family with all her heart and would do anything to protect them. She has had a relatively normal childhood, working hard at her studies (although she struggles in her grades). Despite this, Marina can also act like a total tomboy, getting down and dirty when having fun. She doesn’t like getting her hair dirty or tangled up though, and she prefers to change out of her nice clothes before playing in some mud.

Abilities/Powers:

-Very skilled at crafting potions, ethers, elixirs, etc.

-Excels in the element of fire.

-Skilled at combat as well as going undetected

-Has good aim

Personality: Kind and responsible, Blaise was raised to be strong and independent. As a result, she will always put out a helping hand. She is very passionate about those she loves, going through great lengths to protect those she holds dear. She is also very active, participating in any physical activity she can, including the track team. Recently however due to bronchitis Blaise has been unable to participate in the sports and fighting activities she loves.

Bio: Losing her mother as a baby, her father Axel was heartbroken; he had no idea how to be a father, especially with the fact that this child was certainly not planned (Axel happened to get drunk one night). He wanted to make it work, wanted to actually have a family with the mother of his child but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Luckily Axel had the help of all his friends (Roxas and Xion especially to note) to help raise his daughter. As a small child Blaise suffered from asthma, however during her middle school age she grew out of it after developing an interest in sports. Blaise was always an athletic type, loving to play with the other kids around her. Blaise soon became a track star, something she holds very prideful to herself. Unfortunately Blaise recently developed Chronic Bronchitis which put her out of school for a couple of weeks. Still suffering from it, Blaise begged to go back to school which Axel finally gave in. She still can’t participate in any athletic activities, although Blaise is hopeful to return to it soon.

Okay, here's my sheet for Fiona.  I'll probably make a second character as well, but I'm still trying to decide on this individual for sure (won't be Jade, as I just don't have enough inspiration to continue him).

 

Name: Fiona Villiers
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Parent(s): Serah and Snow Villiers
Abilities/Powers: Inheriting the magical properties from both of her parents, Fiona specializes in white magic and healing.  She also has control of ice, though this skill is still quite weak.  Snow has trained all of his children how to fight and protect themselves, and Fiona is no exception.  She is highly skilled in martial arts, so no one in their right mind would try to cross this girl!
Personality: Fiona is soft, gentle, and nature-loving.  She is a girly girl and yet spends a great deal of time outdoors. While she may be dainty and softspoken, she isn't afraid to protect those that she holds dear, and if the time came where she had to fight there would be no hesitation in doing so.  Despite this, however, Fiona is easily frightened, and often looks up to her older sister, Val, for guidance and protection.
Bio: Fiona is the middle child of Serah and Snow, with an older sister named Valerie and a little brother named Danny, who is six years of age.  She treasures her position of the middle child, even if she does envy her older sister every now and again for being granted so many privileges.  While Fiona is studious she dreads school, just because she hates the peer pressure and seeing other kids being bullied.  Her life has been predominately normal, with the exception of her dad frequently going off to "be a hero" and being taught to hate villains all of her life.  She does wonder about the Forgotten Isle, however, and often feels sorry for the villains' seclusion.

 

(The older sister portion is subjective, depending on whether Riku decides to bring Val back. )

Appearance: Taller than average with a slim muscular look. Pale skin and pale pink hair worn neck length. Wears a versions of her mom's "Style and Steel" outfit (pictured below) minus the shield. She wears her dad's old "Save The Queen" coat (also pictured below), which is baggy on her, but she loves it.

 

 

Parents: Snow & Serah (by Mystics Apprentice's leave)

Abilities/Powers: Skilled martial artist with amazing strength. Highly proficiency in defensive and healing magic.

Personality: Outgoing, protective, laid back when nothing threatening, stubborn, loyal, optimistic, and goofy at times.

Bio: The oldest daughter of Snow and Serah, Val lived her life up to now with her parents and younger siblings, Fiona and Danny. Like her father, Val has a strong heroic streak, causing her to jump to the defensive of others, sometimes without considering details or odds. Val looks forward to the school, seeing it as a chance to grow as a hero and make new friends.

And since we have 13 characters, we well have enough to start! Again the rule about the pairings is revoked since I don’t believe anyone else will join, so if you want another pairing character go for it. Just be mindful of how many characters you have to control especially since the parents and NPCs need to be controlled too.

Personality: Soft, subtle, and brave.  Nora has acquired attributes from both of her parents.  She has her mother's tenderness, and her father's ambition.  She is always determined to do what is right, fair, and just, though finds that her efforts often lead to pain and heartbreak rather than aid.

Bio: Nora grew up in Fatefaire alongside her brother, Dex.  The two are rather close in age, and yet Nora couldn't desire a better brother.  She desires to protect and do the right thing, though her mirroring abilities have thus far proved to be more of a curse than a blessing.  She has a fascination with old relics, novels, and art, and isn't the most social of butterflies.  Nora is apprehensive about entering this academy with her brother, but hopes that it will be the start of a new life for her.

Hmm, I feel that it may be a bad idea for me to add another character, as I'd hate to try to juggle too many and be unable to keep up.  If I did, though, what would you think of Dawn having a little brother who belongs to Sora and Kairi (a half-sibling)?

 

I could also change Nora to a younger brother to Dex, but I do rather like Nora and see some possibilities for her down the road.  It's a tough call.
