Searching for Orichalcum+ is a real pain

Anybody know if I can get multiple Orichalcum+ at a normal rate? Is it possible to get one from Bulky Vendors?

You can’t “farm” Orichalcum+ as there are only 7 in the whole game. You get them with:

 

1) Obtain all material types;

2) complete the Starry Hill Torn Page;

3) complete the "A New Day is Dawning" musical;

4) win the Goddess of Fate Cup;

5) chest at the Central Computer Mesa (Space Paranoids);

6) chest at the Sunset Terrace (Twilight Town);

7) chest at The Brink of Despair (TWTNW).

 

For the Ultima Weapon you need exactly 7 as you can half the materials needed with the Energy Crystal.

No, not necessarily. Lingering Will only drops Manifest Illusion which you can also synthesise once your Moogle Lvl is high enough or find in treasure chests in the Cavern of Remembrance.

But its not that hard just search for a list of all the Items and which enemies drop them you can see what you already collected at the moogle shop

Okay, so I beat the Goddess of Fate Cup, went to the chest at Sunset Terrace, and got EVERY type of material. Yet it still won't give me a seventh Orichalcum+ after bring EVERY type of material. The only thing I needed to get on my log was a Tranquility Crystal. Is there something I'm missing?

Are you sure you got all materials? There are 60 different materials in the game, does it say you got 60?

Never mind, NOW it accepted my 7th Orichalcum+, which means I NOW have the Ultimate Weapon. So, I'll just take that as a "yes" from the game.

Whenever you get synthesis items as rewards for giving the Moogle stuff, those rewards go to your inventory and won't be given to the Moogle until you re-enter the Synthesis Menu again.
