DChiuch 5,773 Posted October 15, 2010 If the same file acts differently depending on which computer you play it on, then it has to do with your computer.. it's not a problem with us or anything. You should try reinstalling your video codecs. I would recommend the K-Lite codec package, using Media Player Classic.

kh roxas 969 0 Posted October 15, 2010 what version of K-Lite Codec Pack should i got because i can see there are three there is basic, standard and full which do you recommend and also will it make any major changes to my compuer? because i like everything else it's only the bbs cutscenes
DChiuch 5,773 Posted October 15, 2010 It explains what the different versions have on the download screen, idk why you're asking me... it's really up to you which version you want. And the BBS cutscenes have exactly the same codec as everything else, which is WMV v9 I believe. So no, you're wrong, the BBS cutscenes aren't any different. kh roxas 969 0 Posted October 15, 2010 1. thanks 2. with in your last post how you said "And the BBS cutscenes have exactly the same codec as everything else, which is WMV v9 I believe. So no, you're wrong, the BBS cutscenes aren't any different." i knew the cutscenes are not any different i was just thinking its strange that the quality is different on my computer 3. thanks again
DChiuch 5,773 Posted October 15, 2010 @2 You said that "it's only the bbs cutscenes", and I'm saying, that can't be true, since all of the videos from this site use the same codec.
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 15, 2010 His video card might be outdated or be a pretty bad one.
kh roxas 969 0 Posted October 22, 2010 ok the K-Lite Codec didnt work and with sora96 saying about my video card it might be that but the thing is when i watch the cutscenes on youtube it's like how they are on other computers and my i pod. so im trying to think what those older computers and my i pod have the my laptop (which i haven't had for even one year) doesn't. What you said though would happen. I've used a out updated video card before, and that happens videos are fine on Youtube, but when you view something like in full screen or almost full screen like WMP, VLC, Divx etc. It looks pretty bad. So yeah its your video card. What Company makes your computer? Lenovo? Toshiba? etc. There might be a System update program that came pre installed when you got your computer, that should update it. For example, mine is a Lenovo laptop, running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit version. Lenovo has a System update program, that searches for updates and then gives you the option to download them. It should provide updates to your video card, it does for me. Other computer brands also have System update programs, but not all. If you installed via Windows disc then you wont have one, since the disc only installs Windows 7 not your computer designers software.
kh roxas 969 0 Posted October 23, 2010 as you asked what company made my laptop my answer is toshiba and where should the update thing be on my laptop?
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 23, 2010 Search your computer, in like the start menu search, or another search method. And type System Update. It should come up with a System Update program.
kh roxas 969 0 Posted October 23, 2010 i havnt found on my laptop system updates i have windows updates i've installed all of them and still the same (with my laptop it had windows 7 pre installed)
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 23, 2010 You might not have a System update program on your laptop, or you might have un installed it. Regardless its your video card. Go to the place you got it and ask about it.

Sora96 17,256 Posted October 23, 2010 I said you might have un installed it. Just go to the place you got it, or if you know anyone who knows a lot about computers ask them.

Sora96 17,256 Posted October 23, 2010 Okay, but you'll need to see the place you got it from. Or someone who knows a lot about computers. It's the Video card, and chances are you will need a new one.
