The majority believe that, due to scene editing, Lauriam killed Strelitzia and took her place among the Dandelion Leaders. I think this is an intentional misdirection, and offer the following theory below:
Skuld killed Strelitzia, but Ven is the one that doesn't belong.
1. Skuld is the "traitor" -When confronting the Dark Chirithy (who went dark because their Player fell to darkness), our Chirithy ask where their player is. The Dark Chirithy just laughs and says "closer than you think". Skuld is standing next to us when it says this. We have never seen her Chirithy before. -The only backstory we know of is: she was alone, Ephemer joined her party, others joined, Ephemer left, and then everyone else left. By the end, Skuld claims it was alright to be alone. Maybe her "darkness" was sadness, feeling alone, and deciding friends weren't necessary. -Amber eyes = Evil. Granted this is because of a connection to Xehanort, but people in the series with amber eyes don't have the best track record.
2. Skuld murdered Strelitzia and made Ven a Leader -Skuld could've been the one to get the Book of Prophecies, which is suppose to "shape the world the way it is suppose to be" (according to the Master of Masters). She might have seen Ven is important for the future, and decided to make him a leader. -Skuld might have killed Strelitzia because they share the same problem of people coming and going and being alone. Or maybe she just saw her death in the Book of Prophecies. -Ven said he never really knew Ava, and Skuld has blatantly been called similar to Ava. Due to Ava being very young, it would be easy for Skuld to dress up as Ava, trick Ven, and make him a leader with Strelitzia's book. -In the new artwork, Ven is the only one looking down. Separating him from the others.
I understand there are a lot of "maybes" in my theory, but Lauriam being the murderer is too straight forward for me personally. If nothing else, I hope this inspires people to think outside the box and come up with even better theories!
