[8/25/17] Swimsuit Boards, Falling Price Deal, Story Quest Update

Until August 31st at 23:59 PT, players can unlock Swimsuit avatar boards for 2500 Jewels each! Each board offers a Speed Gem, Magic Mirrors, Chips, Dales, a Cid10, and the ATK Boost IV & ATK Prize+, Second Chance II, and SP Attack Gauge 0 skills. The Swimming Bag accessory grants a +3 Skill Perk.

 

A Falling Price Deal introducing the Ventus-Vanitas and Lord of the Dead medals will be available until August 31st at 23:59 PT. Neither medal is guaranteed within any number of pulls, but they will arrive with 3 ability dots already filled if they are pulled. Otherwise, each draw guarantees at least one Tier 5 medal with 1-3 ability dots filled.

Ventus-Vanitas: Reverse/Speed // AoE // 3 SP Cost // Tier 5 Guilt // enemy S def-4 for one turn, stronger if set in Slot 5, 6 hits

Lord of the Dead: Reverse/Power // AoE //  SP Cost // Tier 5 Guilt // enemy P def-4 for one turn, stronger if set in Slot 4, 9 hits

Additionally, Keyblades can now be upgraded past +35 with Gems. Keyblade levels after +35 will upgrade in increments---35.1, 35.2, and so on.

 

Five new main story quests have also been added! Be sure to clear them!

This is a pretty good falling price deal, since the T5 medal pool is pretty strong, but hold your jewels everyone. Sephiroth EX is coming.

 

Finished the Story Quests. Knew about the twist in advance because people can't keep it to themselves (can't wait to be not-surprised in a few months...) but it's still cool and raises a lot of questions.

 

Super tempted for the Avatar Board, because I'm a sucker for swimming-related things, but I'll probably save my jewels. Because Sephiroth EX.

You know, I'm actually surprised we got another story update within the same month, as we only get one story update per month! Does this mean we might get two story updates of five quests from September onwards? Or will we get 15 story quests on the second week of September and 5 more near the end? This is very interesting...
