Is Port Royal the reason why Kingdom Hearts 2 got a 10+ rating?

I think it was one of the factors, but not the only sole factor of the E10+ rating, mainly because KH1 (and the GBA Chain of Memories) is the only game(s) that have a E rating. I think the storyline contributed to the rating with its darker nature.

Port Royal had "mild blood" and "Use of Alcohol" so yea that's what I always assumed.

It got a PEGI 12 in Europe, which, interestingly enough, was the same classification for the film. I think it's the same as your E 10

Yep, Port Royal was the reason for this rating. It's funny how just one world can change the game's rating like that. And surprisingly enough, the series has yet to sport a T rated title! Maybe Kingdom Hearts III will be the one to break that trend!

Well, E10+ didn't exist until 2005, so that may have something to do with it.
