Does Square Enix have the right to look at movies before they come out?

Recommended Posts

just like the title says because this may affect what worlds i'll have in kingdom hearts 3. I remember someone posted that SE can do that, but that was a long time ago and I don't trust my memories, so please clarify :)

does that mean they could look into a disney movie years before it is released?

Possibly.  But lets be serious.  How many disney ideas actually become movies?  It would have to be a solid commitment for the movie to happen.

The movie, Zootopia turned from an idea to a movie back in 2013 and since this is before Big Hero 6 was released(reminder that Big Hero 6 was the last world they decided to be in kh3), it's possible that they considered zootopia to be in kh3.

It's certainly possible, even probable, that Nomura has taken a look at Disney's new films coming out before they were released.

since kh3 started development back in 2013 SE may have looked into movies that were in development at the time and movies that were already released to see if they can be in the game and Zootopia was one of those movies so yeah. Very possible
