Key_Holder_00 1 Posted May 25, 2017 Hi guys My name is Key_Holder_000, nice to meet you all I'm a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series ever since the first Kingdom Hearts.I hope we can be friends I'm almost done with Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and my next game is Kingdom Hearts: Rechains ofMemories, and after Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix it's Birth By Sleep. I have some questionsabout these two games' gameplay as well as other things:1- I heard that rechain of memories is a turn-based RPG, like Final Fantasy 10, is that true ?And if so, is it as complex as the Final Fantasy games ?Also, can you give me some tips on how to boost Sora's abilities, HP, and MP ?2- When I play birth by sleep, is there an order for which character to play first because I heard youneed to play as all three characters to get the secret ending.3- Do I need to get the Ultima weapon in every kingdom hearts game to get the secret ending ?4- This is a plot-related question and it's out of curiosity, in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix there areheartless called "Angel Star", are these guys actual angels that became heartless ? Please note that I have asked this question in another forum, But I thought I should ask here as well so that I can gather more information. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
rosco258 212 Posted May 25, 2017 no chain of memories is not turn based. it is like the other kh's but different. it uses a card based system where you can use a combo of three cards to pull off speicial attacks. each card has a card value 0-9 the higher the better. because your opponents use cards as well. although its good to have some 0 cards handy in case your opponent uses a combo of cards as well. basically your 0 is your block. no ultima weapon isnt nessacary for secret endings. nomura recomends you play Terra Ventus then aqua to understand the story the best and according to jiminy's journal angel stars were born from holy spells 1 Key_Holder_00 reacted to this
Cyberos000 33 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) 1- Absolutely not. Re:Chain of Memories (as well as Chain of Memories GBA) is not a turn-based RPG, it's an Action-RPG pretty much like Kingdom Hearts 1. Re:CoM is using a Card system during the battle, you have different sort of cards, Keyblade card (to use your Keyblade to attack), magic cards (to cast spell), items cards, etc... You're building your deck with the card you collect throughout the game. But it's an Action-RPG, no doubt. Go check some gameplay for yourself, you'll see. Regarding the HP, abilities (and the "size" of your deck) you're choosing the one you want to level up each times you level up. 2- There's no order in which character you have to pick. Start a new game and after the tutorial you will have to pick between Ventus (Which is the fastest), Aqua (which is more Magic based) and Terra. (which is the "strongest" in term of physical abilities) After you finish the game with the three characters (again, in any order you like) you'll unlock a Secret Episode. 3- No, Ultima is not needed, I'm not 100% sure though. I'd say 95% sure. It's rather the difficulty setting which matter the most. The higher the difficulty is, the easier the secret ending will be unlocked. 4- They're not important to the story. No angels are mentioned in the Kingdom Hearts lore. (By the characters I mean) Edited May 25, 2017 by Cyberos000 1 Key_Holder_00 reacted to this
Jiminy's Journal 13 Posted May 25, 2017 I heard that rechain of memories is a turn-based RPG, like Final Fantasy 10, is that true? And if so, is it as complex as the Final Fantasy games? Also, can you give me some tips on how to boost Sora's abilities, HP, and MP?As Rosco said, it's not quite turn-based. One thing to keep in mind are Premium Cards. When I play birth by sleep, is there an order for which character to play first because I heard you need to play as all three characters to get the secret ending.First, you need to do the final chapter. To unlock that, you have to have complete each character's story. You can do this back-to-back (using the order Rosco suggested) or all at the same time. they just need to be completed. Here is an image of the canon timeline. Only spoilers are world icons, not even names. Do I need to get the Ultima weapon in every kingdom hearts game to get the secret ending?Secret Ending requirements vary, depending on game and difficulty level. KHWiki has info on unlock requirements for each SE. Beware of spoilers. This is a plot-related question and it's out of curiosity, in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix there are heartless called "Angel Star", are these guys actual angels that became heartless? Please note that I have asked this question in another forum, But I thought I should ask here as well so that I can gather more information.Everything we know about the Angel Star is in its Journal entry. Being an Emblem Heartless, it is more an artificial container for a heart than an actual sentient heart (which would be a Pureblood Heartless, like Shadows). These differences are detailed in the Ansem Reports. 1 Key_Holder_00 reacted to this

Jiminy's Journal 13 Posted May 25, 2017 So does that mean that the Angel Star was created by magic ? Yes. By "an artificial container" do you mean that it was created in a lab ?Also, Yes. Magic and science together. And by holy spell do you mean like spells from religious books ?Honestly, we don't know. They appear to be made out of lightbulbs, though. 1 Key_Holder_00 reacted to this

Please note that I have asked this question in another forum, But I thought I should ask here as well so that I can gather more information. Hey there Key Holder, and welcome to this awesome website! I hope you enjoy your time here! And alright then, I'll be happy to answer these questions for you! First off, no, Re: Chain is not like Final Fantasy X. You see, the change in gameplay here is that you use cards instead of the normal combat in Kingdom Hearts I. Don't get me wrong, the attacks onscreen still very much look like the ones from Kingdom Hearts I, but with the cards, you actually have to strategize in order to be one step ahead of your opponent! You can move around and attack, and perform sleights, which are powerful attacks you make when you put three cards together! It's a rewardingly complex battle system, and I personally loved it! As for how to raise HP, it's simply by leveling up! When you level up, you get to choose what to do with the level up. You either raise your HP, your CP (Card Points, since MP isn't used in this game, as the magic is tied to the cards.) or you learn a new Sleight, which is basically a new attack ability, ya know? And well, there's no specific order per se, but the way you actually unlock the secret ending is by collecting all the Xehanort reports throughout all three characters stories in Birth By Sleep! Each character rallies up a total of 4, bringing about a total of 12 Xehanort Reports. With that, you get to unlock the secret ending! The order I played as is Terra, Ventus and Aqua. I believe that's the order that everyone mostly goes for, ya know? No, you don't need to get the Ultima weapon in order to unlock the secret endings for the KH games. There's a number of different things you have to do, but if you play on the hardest difficulty, the secret movies are unlocked much more easier, as you only have to beat the game in its hardest difficulty in order to unlock said secret endings, ya know? But there are also other things that you have to do, such as the Xehanort Reports I mentioned above! For your final question, I think that was just more of a design related thing more than anything else. Story wise, the Angel Stars don't really do anything to the plot. They're just Heartless that are there for you to slay! Hope this helped! And as all newcomers experience, my pet bunny here shall devour your soul! You know, now that you mentioned it, I just realized that it does have what looks like a lightbulb. https://www.khwiki.com/File:Angel_Star_KH.png https://www.khwiki.com/File:Angel_Star_KHFM.png But are they normal lightbulbs ?
