Exiblade7 1,917 Posted May 24, 2017 Is it me, or does Sora's VA sounds worse than it did in Dream Drop Distanced? It sounds off. Hope his VA gets Sora a much better voice in kingdom hearts 3 3 DarylTrect, bfcm03 and The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 24, 2017 I wouldn't call it a spoiler, really. Anyway, it will get worse. The reason his voice acting got worse is because he is getting older, so it is harder for him the do a suitable voice for him.

ReverofE 698 Posted May 24, 2017 Yeah his voice was a bit worse. It sounded like a continuation of the voice presented in DDD which most fans thought was only present with Young Sora in that game. However, at least his Vanitas voice won't be that bad since it his basically his natural voice just meaner and Terra's voice actor got marginally better. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted May 25, 2017 I honestly didn't find anything wrong with Sora's voice! In fact, to me, he sounds just the same! I'm impressed Haley has been able to keep Sora's tone for all these years! But since I'm sure Sora will grow older over the course of the series, Haley will be able to voice a more adult tone for him, ya know? It's only a matter of time! 1 Jingilator reacted to this
Connected 978 Posted June 7, 2017 It bugged me for al long time. It's weird he sounds a lot younger then in KH2.
Forever Love 82 Posted December 23, 2017 Oh gosh, don't even get me started. KH2 was his best work by far, and I realize that puberty happens and that it's been over a decade, but I think it really comes down to voice direction. Haley hit lower notes no problem, especially when things got serious. It's mostly him trying to appear "happy" and "young" that seems to be the problem. Honestly, if they took a look back at KH2 and then kind of went with that direction, it would be a lot better. Sora's older now, "more mature" as Nomura put it in an interview. I'm hoping the directors realize this and kind of do better with it, because I could barely tolerate that ending scene and 3D due to the pitch.
Shadow Broker 65 Posted December 29, 2017 I agree his KH2 voice was his best work. Yeah his voice in DDD/0.2 was high pitched lol, but I think we're not yet used to it.
Master Keeper 687 Posted January 21, 2018 I can only hope that his voice fits on his age in Kingdom Hearts III, because his voice in Dream Drop Distance felt awkward and weird as he was supposed to sound younger, and yet in 0.2 we find the voice hard to get used to even when he is older. Maybe his voice actor should give better efforts to make Sora sound like.. you know, Sora
