Mushu did point that out that him and Donald will fall for anything. But one thing that I think is kind of strange is that after facing that heartless army and first saw Roxas's picture that Riku left, but didn't recognize Roxas when he saw him face to face in The World that Never Was, kind of makes me wonder about Sora. Besides, (I'm assuming you're referring to his encounter in the Dark City) in the heat of battle, it's not uncommon for a person to lose themselves in it.
