is having DreamWorks Movies in KH possible?

This is something that i've been wondering for a long time and i know it's got a 1% chance OF EVER happening but i think it would be a fun idea to discuss upon. Now to me i think a DreamWorks movie would be an fun choice to be added in a future KH game (not KH3) someday because i've been thinking, if KH lasts for a long time, Square is gonna run out of ideas for Disney worlds to be included in the games eventually someday unless they continue to add old worlds but that will eventually get tiresome obviously. I think the Best idea Square could come up with is Make a deal with Disney so that They can buy as many Brands as they can so spread square can use ideas from those other big movie Brands like 20th century Fox, Universal, or as we discussed DreamWorks in the KH games. And then after that Disney can buy Gaming related Brands like Nintendo, SONY, Microsoft, SEGA and even Konami because F*ck it. Then once Disney Has control over all the entertainment Brands, Square will have Free access to all these Brands and will be able to Add Super Mario in KH7 just so that Leak can come true or even have Shrek into KH10 just to spread the Memes even more!!! and then after that Disney will take over the United States Government, then Russia, and then all of the other countries in the world so that they can control society as we know it and then once we find Alien life on other Planets, Disney will take over those as well and then.......... (Ok i'll stop there)

While I would love to see Sora and co. in a How to Train Your Dragon world, I just don't see it being a possibility, unless Disney were to acquire the company and all rights to their property. Even then, Disney may still be more adamant about having THEIR works put into the KH universe, and not something that they've only acquired.

 

I, for one, would love it if they started putting worlds from some of their Disney X.D. series into the game. Quality stuff only though, like Gravity Falls and The Kingdom of Mewny from Star vs the Forces of Evil.

Even then, Disney may still be more adamant about having THEIR works put into the KH universe, and not something that they've only acquired.

 

DreamWorks is owned by Universal Pictures (who also owns Illumination Entertainment), so no chance of a corporate acquisition occurring between Disney and DreamWorks. And when you really think about it, DreamWorks Animation was created to intentionally compete against everything Disney.

Exactly as sad as it is but something this will not happen.there was obly one time when many different countrys gave their ok for a big crossover projekt like this and that was roger rabbit dont think we will ever see big entertaiment companys give the rights to their characters for the greater good any time soon

No, it really isn't. Dreamworks is pretty much the Sony to Disney's Nintendo, they formed after a former employee was pissed off with them enough to make his own studio with enough skill to challenge and match them at almost every turn. Dreamworks may no long be purely focused on spiting Disney anymore these days, being able to stand on their own now, but I really doubt Disney would be willing to extend that kind of an olive branch, it's just not something I see happening. Also, frankly, I really DON'T want to see any Dreamworks pictures in KH to be honest. I like a lot of those movies, but I don't really see them as KH material. Shrek in KH? Yeah, no thanks. I like salad dressing and ice cream, doesn't mean I want to put them together.

 

Gotta say, the fact that this was in the Random section almost convinced me it was a joke, but it seems like you're playing it seriously. Fact is, there is A LOT of Disney material for Square to go through before they start running out of ideas for KH, even if you're solely focusing on the action/adventure/fantasy genres. Disney's got lots of IP to work with (whether you want to see Marvel and Star Wars in KH or not), so I'm not really concerned with Square feeling the need to reach out to another company for additional IP anytime soon.

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer: None of what you said really makes sense. The bulk of KH worlds are from Disney's animated movies, so why would Disney want to add animated movies from a competing company? And having Disney buy a bunch of brands? That is trillions and trillions of dollars (and that's even kind of modest). Then let's just pretend Disney actually did that. At some point they'd be ending up in monopoly territory, which is illegal.

To be honest I was being serious about it but then i realized how stupid it would be having DreamWorks in KH so i just decided to have a little fun. and the whole Disney buying more Brands was most definitely a joke, Although i wouldn't be surprised if that happened. it seems Disney just wants more Money than ever these days.

Even then, I still doubt they'd ever want to touch Dreamworks with a 49 1/2 ft pole. And I pray to GOD that they never acquire Illumination, the last thing I need right now are Disney Minions. >
