Jingilator 922 Posted April 23, 2017 Just a little theory: What if both the Unversed and the Dream Eaters could come back in KH3? I have facts to support this: Unversed -Vanitas showed up in KH3D as a vision created by Ventus' heart, causing Sora to see him. -One of the chess pieces on the side of darkness, which was shown in the KH3 E3 2015 trailer, was the Keychain to the Void Gear; this little bit may heavily imply that Vanitas is one of the 13 Darknesses. Dream Eaters -At the end of KH3D, Sora noted that he was back in the real Traverse Town, and then his Spirit friends came to say goodbye to him. -Young Xehanort straight up summoned Hockomonkey in Traverse Town, proving that he can not only create the Nightmare Dream Eaters, but control them as well. Even if they don't completely meld into the real world, the 13 Darknesses could just take the Nightmares out of the Sleeping Realm via Time Travel (because, as we all know, Time Travel in KH is not hard to understand AT ALL). What do you guys think about my little theory? Do you agree or do you think only the Unversed could return? 3 KHUndertaleFan25, The Transcendent Key and Kidkillroy1 reacted to this
Finn and vigor 287 Posted April 23, 2017 i honestly really want something like this to happen because i think it would be awesome to have all 4 of the different Enemies throughout the KH games to appear in a single KH title. Imigane a battle where Sora has to be fight 1000 heartless again BUT he has to fight another 1000 nobodies and another 1000 unversed and lastly another 1000 Dream Eaters. THAT would be awesome. But since the fact Dream eaters can only exist in the realm of sleep it's kinda unlikely but Sora may pay a visit to the realm of sleep or they could just do a flashback in KH3 where it explains what sora was doing after DDD. Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted April 23, 2017 but do they need to return? new varieties of Heartless and Nobodies would work just as well imo
GrandmasterCT 2 Posted April 23, 2017 It is heavily implied that vanitas will return. So yes it's also a possibility that the unverse would return as well. Young xehanort was able to create dream eaters because he was in the realm of sleep and used his own dreams to create them, just like Sora and Riku. Besides, they wouldn't need them in the realm of light when they have control over the heartless and nobodies.
Dustin Lübbers 933 Posted April 23, 2017 Would be sounds like a good idea vanitas could try to take over soras heart meaning we have to return to the dive to the heart and stop.dream eaters on the other hand is a bit tricky

Guest Posted April 23, 2017 (edited) By definition, having Vanitas and Chirithy in Kingdom Hearts III means that both Unversed and Dream Eaters have returned. It's guaranteed that both of them are going to be in the game. And why in the world is time travel required to get Dream Eaters into the real world? Chirithy is a Dream Eater in the real world. Guest Posted April 23, 2017 It's more so implied that the world of X/Unchained X is in the Realm of Sleep, since the Heartless you fight there are projections of the future. But the projections of the Heartless are from the Book of Prophecies, it's nothing to do with the hypothesis that Daybreak Town is a sleeping world. Jingilator 922 Posted April 23, 2017 But the projections of the Heartless are from the Book of Prophecies, it's nothing to do with the hypothesis that Daybreak Town is a sleeping world. Good point. I can't believe I put two unrelated subjects together. What I meant to add was that Heartless can't enter the Sleeping Worlds. Alright, so if Xehanort can't time clone the Dream Eaters, then maybe he can create a Nightmare Chirithy to bring them into the real world.
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted April 23, 2017 I could believe the Unversed coming back with Vanitas as the thirteenth darkness in my opinion, but I find it hard to see the Dream Eaters come back as well.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 28, 2017 I do see the Unversed returning in Kingdom Hearts III, because once Ventus awakens, Vanitas will as well, since he's the dark part of Ven's heart! And once Vanitas reawakens, it's only a matter of time before the Unversed start making a mess of things, ya know? I'm actually hoping this happens, since i think Unversed are awesome! As for Dream Eaters, since they're more exclusive to the Realm Of Sleep, I don't know how they'll return. It'd be interesting to see them make a comeback, ya know? 2 BaeWulf95 and Keyblade101 reacted to this
KH4Real 749 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) Probably not. The only old heartless that will show up are shadows/demon tides. It will likely be all brand new heartless. Edited April 28, 2017 by KH4Real
HakaishinChampa 4 Posted April 29, 2017 Probably not. The only old heartless that will show up are shadows/demon tides. It will likely be all brand new heartless. I don't think so, we saw the Fat Heartless and Soldiers in the trailer. I'm sure there will be more old returning heartless. If Vantias returns we will definitely see Unversed but I feel like we won't see many Unversed - Vantias will be revealed near end game. Most of the Unversed will be new most likely and we will see a couple of Unversed Bosses. I'm sure Dream Eaters will return - Yensid said something about having these guys as backup against Xehanort. Maybe we'll see Spirits as a summon and Dream Eaters could be enemies (I would like a Dark Chrithy Secret Boss Battle if we don't see Nightmares as a common enemy)

Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted May 11, 2017 But, like I said, they appeared in the real Traverse Town at the end of KH3D. That wasn't the real Traverse Town, it was in the Realm of Sleep. Dream Drop Distance: Post-Game Famitsu Interview: I see. Were there certain intentions in that scene with the Dream Eaters? That scene was added in the final stages of production. It wouldn’t feel right to have worked so hard raising the Dream Eaters without some sort of closure. Also, since Sora has obtained the power to open doors into Sleeping Worlds, I purposely wanted to show a scene where he used that power.

Hallowseve 143 Posted August 4, 2017 I think the Unversed will definitely return if Vanitas plays any role in KHIII...which I'm sure he will. Same with the Dream Eaters. If any characters from KHx appear, no doubt at least Chirithy will make an appearance. Anyway, it would make sense that these two creature types would make a return of some sort, considering this is the final chapter of the "Dark Seeker Saga". 1 GoL-Semi reacted to this
GoL-Semi 16 Posted August 4, 2017 The logo on the mech isn't a heartless / dream eater / unversed logo but it does share a bit of similarities with the unversed logo but they obviously aren't the same
TheDvsBstd 1 Posted August 4, 2017 Its true that they're original enemies for the Toy Story world, but the question is which category do they belong to. Heartless? Nobody? Unversed? Dream Eater? For all we know they could be controlled by possessor Heartless, or simply living toys that are out to destroy everything in their path. We have too little information about them to know if they are controlled by an outside source or not. One thing is for certain, Gigas are a toy brand in the Toy Story world. As for the topic at hand. I could see the unversed make their return, although in a smaller scale than Heartless and Nobodies. It depends on when and how Vanitas will appear in the story. I do hope that Dream Eaters stays away though, they should remain in the realm of sleep and personally I dislike their designs with passion. As stated previously Soras encounter with the Dream Eaters at Traverse Town by the end of DDD took place in the Realm of sleep. 1 GoL-Semi reacted to this
Elfdemon_ 695 Posted August 7, 2017 -At the end of KH3D, Sora noted that he was back in the real Traverse Town, and then his Spirit friends came to say goodbye to him. That wasn't the real Traverse Town. It was still in the realm of sleep. Sora opens a realm of sleep portal/Keyhole to get there. And he said "I was hoping this world was still here", meaning it's still in the realm of sleep. Anyone can create Dream Eaters in the realm of sleep. All Dream Eaters are, are physical embodiments of your dreams. You can't "summon" Dream Eaters in the real world the same way you can in the realm of sleep. That doesn't mean Dream Eaters can't exist in the real world though. They most definitely can. They were still with Riku in the real world The World That Never Was in Dream Drop Distance. They were still with him because Sora was still sleeping, so Riku still had a weird dream connection with him, but that still proves they can exist in the real world just fine, they just aren't naturally born there. You can also create Dream Eaters in the real world using science n' stuff, which is how The Master of Masters created the Chirithys. So, yeah, I also think Dream Eaters will make an appearance in KH3 some way or another. I don't think they'll be a common enemy type like Heartless, Nobodies, or Unversed, but I think there'll be Chirithys in KH3.
