KHUX Theory: How the World was rebuilt after the Keyblade War

Recommended Posts

Spoilers for Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]:

We have all heard the story repeated numerous times throughout the many Kingdom Hearts titles.  The Keyblade War plunged the World into darkness, but the light within the hearts of children survived, and the children rebuilt the World into countless smaller worlds with barriers between them so that the Keyblade War could never again be refought.  Thanks to all of the titles included in the Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] story, we now have had a lot of light shed on what actually happened.  However, there is one part of the legend that has not been explained to us (so far): How were the children able to rebuild the World after the Keyblade War?  After all, the World was rebuilt into countless smaller worlds with barriers between them.  How could a few children do that?

I think that the Book of Prophecies was used to rebuild the World.  The Master of Masters told Ava that "the Book is shaping the next world after this world, in many ways."  We already know that the Book of Prophecies has the ability to create worlds, and, since the Master of Masters said that the Book is shaping the next world in many ways, it makes sense that he meant that it is literally shaping the next world.  However, that raises another question: Since the Master of Masters wanted the child circled in red to secretly inherit the Book of Prophecies, how was it used by the children to rebuild the World?  Wouldn't the child circled in red have to reveal that they had the Book of Prophecies in order for the children to use it to rebuild the World?

I have two theories to answer this question.  My first theory is that the Book of Prophecies was disguised as one of the journals that the children were given by Ava (which would be how Ava secretly gave the Book of Prophecies to the child circled in red).  Ava did say that the journal had rules written in it that the children must absolutely follow.  So, what if one of those rules was how to rebuild the World?  As the rest of the children read the rules from their journals and followed them, the child circled in red would secretly be using the Book of Prophecies, disguised as their journal, to rebuild the World.

My second theory is that the Master of Masters disappeared to use the Book of Prophecies to create the next world.  Then, when the time came for the Dandelions to travel to another world, they would travel to the one that the Master of Masters created, where there would be no tragedy for them to experience.  Somehow, it would be believed that the children were the ones who rebuilt the World, whether the children were tricked to think so or someone started the legend that they did so.  However, I think that this theory is less likely because that would mean that the World that the entire Kingdom Hearts series takes place in is not the real World, but one created by the Master of Masters.

Whatever the case, I think that the Book of Prophecies was used to rebuild the World in some way.

Actually, I believe that the "children" who rebuilt the world after the Keyblade War were the new Union leaders. Think about it, they fit the criteria, they're children, and they participated in the Keyblade War.

The book conjures these worlds from the future, it doesn't create them. The theory doesn't make any sense. The legend has the answer you seek: Light. Light has the power to create while darkness has the power to destroy. It's a common thing.

No, it makes more sense to say the Dandelions rebuilt the lost world. Not just the Union leaders.

Eh, I'd vouch to disagree for two reasons.

1) It adds a distinction to the younger Union leaders from the older Union leaders.Having these new leaders be the legendary children that rebuilt the lost world adds further values to said characters. Having it be all of the Dandelions devalues that particular role.

2) The other Dandelions are placeholder NPC characters representing the player. Having characters that are clearly designed to be representations of the various players seem kind of out of place with the canon characters.

I know that the Book of Prophecies is only able to conjure from the future.  Sorry, I wasn't clear when I said that the Book of Prophecies has the ability to create worlds.  To explain my line of thought further, I am thinking that the Book of Prophecies conjured the worlds into existence because the worlds exist in the future, and the worlds exist in the future because the Book of Prophecies conjured the worlds into existence.  So, I think that it's like a big, never-ending loop.  You can't have one event without the other.  That being said, I do think that you could be right.  It might just be the light of the children that rebuilt the World.  However, since the Master of Masters mentioned that the Book of Prophecies is shaping the next world in many ways, I think that he was hinting at its involvement in the rebuilding of the World.
