King_Graham 135 Posted December 30, 2017 Going back and watching it, I find all the MoM scenes very entertaining, and the story is batshit to a rather funny degree, But my previous sentiments remain. This doesn't even have much of a real structure.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted December 31, 2017 It was a bit of both to me. I liked watching the back cover it was entertaining and the characters fit perfectly. I thought some questions might be answered in the movie, but I have more questions before I started watching it. Like who's the real traitor? Why the heck Skuld didn't appear! ? And why the master of master left? I'm not even sure he's a good or bad guy. This movie just makes me want to know what happened. The ending was driving me crazy. I would pay Nomura to continue the back cover movie. Please take my money Nomura! That's the beauty of it all. Back Cover left us tantalizing to know if there really was a traitor or not! I personally think that the Master Of Masters orchestrated all of this on purpose just for laughs and giggles, because he seems like that type of guy! Then again, he's too unpredictable! And I was also sad that Skuld didn't appear. Wanted to see that beauty with the current KH graphics! And well, the Master Of Masters said that he'd disappear, but he was rather cryptic about that, so not much else could be found out. I just loved how all these questions remain! I'd definitely be all in for a continuation to Back Cover! Going back and watching it, I find all the MoM scenes very entertaining, and the story is batshit to a rather funny degree, But my previous sentiments remain. This doesn't even have much of a real structure. Lol, hey, this is Kingdom Hearts! Like many franchises, some things are crazy and make no sense! And yesss, the MoM is immensely entertaining! He's practically the Deadpool of the Kingdom Hearts universe! He revels in confusing the heck out of people!
Master Keeper 687 Posted January 21, 2018 It wasn't literally "bad" and it wasn't a waste of time either. It was rather a disappointment, because such movie was expected to cover most of the events of Chi in general but then they told us that it focuses on Foretellers, then we thought that maybe it would give better details if we took the aspect of the masters, but boy I was wrong. - Instead of being a complete movie, they pointlessly divided them into episodes with each of them having the point of view of a single Foretller, which was a bad move cuz even Re:Coded felt more connected than Back Cover when it comes to cutscene events. - They brought more questions to the plot than answering the previous ones, most of the titles answer some questions before raising new ones but this movie didn't. - They disappointlsly didn't bring the events of Keyblade War (the events that happened at the end of Unchained Chi) and decided to stop the events on a very random part of the event. - The fighting events weren't satisfying and we didn't even see all of the Foretellers fighting except two of them. - Ephemera didn't have enough roles and Skuld didn't appear whatsoever even when they were considered the main protagonists of Chi.- The movie didn't cover all of the events that happened DURING the events of Back Cover, they simply focused completely on the Foretellers that they didn't try to connect things with Unchained Chi, which is unusual for KH titles. For those reasons, I find the movie to be disappointing, nevertheless, not bad since it had gorgeous graphics with the plots having the mysterious element. It wasn't a waste of time since it's important to know why the Foretellers were fighting.
