RemieGino14 24 Posted April 5, 2017 I'd thought I'd just get this off my chest since this is the first time I'm ever playing this game (And the fact I already finished Kingdom Hearts Final Mix) ...but Sora already sounds like the KH2 Sora...that amount of time couldn't have passed that easily...I'm too used to the Whiney sounding Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Other than that, let's see if I can breeze through this so I can play Kingdom Hearts 2... lol - RemieGino14 -
Keith Harris 28 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) I guess the problem there is that Re:CoM was released three years after the release of KH2, but I see where you're coming from. This is actually my first time playing Re:CoM even though I had 1.5 on PS3 as well. I loved the story from playing on the GBA, but I'm not the biggest fan of the card system, so I'm just trying to breeze through it. Have fun! RemieGino14 24 Posted April 5, 2017 Yeah man, this card system is kinda killing me... I had to switch it to control type b cause I kept pressing R1 to lock on. lol - RemieGino14 -

thePuck77 7 Posted April 8, 2017 It took me a bit of time to get used to it, but I ended up getting a sort of mental pleasure out of stretching my brain to accommodate both melee and card combat at the same time. Then when I got to NG+ and found that Riku's gameplay was still a different type of balancing act, I was even more pleasantly surprised. I'm almost done and I've enjoyed it a lot...will mostly play again.

thePuck77 7 Posted April 10, 2017 Remember to rely on the Jafar Card if you have any trouble I figured that one out on my own, but thanks! I finished my LP (both Sora and Riku portions) on Saturday and started 2. It was such a tragic story...watching Sora get his head turned upside down from an external POV. I'm working out a video examining memories and psychological manipulation using Re: CoH as a basis. Sora gets so crazed, it broke my heart...I know that feel. RemieGino14 24 Posted April 14, 2017 Remember to rely on the Jafar Card if you have any trouble Dude...I'm still in traverse town, its just the fact that everything is card based, even to go through a door...I can't stand it. Ventus_ 396 Posted April 21, 2017 (edited) The first time I played CoM was on the GBA and have played the FM version. Still, I've remained in the struggle zone with sleighing. Probably because I'm not very fast or coordinated. I'd gotten some grasp on it in FM but still haven't managed to beat the final Riku battle. I had him at literally a sliver of HP once but he wouldn't effing let me get that last hit! Now I haven't played it in a couple of years so I'd have to readjust to the card system period of I started again. The last few times I played it on the GBA I was having trouble with perception, judging where I needed to aim because the 2D animation isn't entirely clear. Overall, I am not a fan of the card system. Edited April 23, 2017 by Ventus_
Connected 978 Posted April 21, 2017 After years of coming back to Re: Chain of Memories. I started to enjoy the card system more and more. It gives a completly new dynamic way of fighting which makes (Boss) fights easier and harder. You really need to focus what you are doing and what your opponent is doing. For example when is the best time to use a particuluar card? When do you can break the card of your opponent? I just finished the game and enjoyed alot of it. I really liked to rearrange my deck to make to most of it each boss fight.
