Digital Releases for KH OSTs?

Recommended Posts

So why don't we have digital releases for the KH soundtrack? It's 2017, it should exist.

I doubt it's an issue with Square Enix as they release their OSTs digitally and so do Disney. Yoko Shimomura wouldn't have any issues as she has some of her work released digitally (FFXV, don't know any others)

So what's the big deal? Unless Disney really don't like this franchise.

Oh and don't say "get the discs" as I find them extremely redundant in this day and age.

Completely agree, why the hell haven't they put them on iTunes yet? This is freaking ridiculous. At this point, I wouldn't really be surprised if Disney just doesn't care about KH, considering how they turned down the opportunity to make a fortune off of a KH tv series. Disney makes no sense most of the time. -_-"

Don't forget Google Play

And availablity in all regions and not just America

Cause that's another kind of bullshit I'm sick of

Can't get any of the FF OSTs before FFXV because of this

I'm honestly fine with CDs (I get a decent amount of use out of them, mostly for car trips, plus you can just rip them onto your PC anyway), problem is they're almost entirely import only and therefore absurdly expensive.

You're right though, there should at least be digital releases somewhere. I'd certainly be willing to pay for a reasonably priced collection and I don't have a clue why SE don't offer it.

Some of us would rather have these on our phones. xP

You can easily buy the discs and rip the tracks then put it on your phone

The only problem with that is that once you do that, the discs are redundant and you'll probably never use them again xD

Which is why a digital release is needed

Well also some of us would rather not go thru the extra effort. I'd prefer the more direct approach, especially since that would avoid having to pay shipping fees. :P

Another common problem is that a lot of newer vehicles don't even have CD players, so the discs would be relatively useless unless you get a player built into the car (which would be expensive).

I'm really surprised that they're not offering the OST digitally as well, since this is Disney we're talking about who offers a ton of other OSTs.  We're in the day and age where this is the most common thing to do, and I agree that importing discs gets *really* expensive.  I myself am old-fashioned and still prefer discs over digital downloads, but CDs are already starting to become obsolete and it's only a matter of time before they officially are.

Which is exactly what the issue is. No digital release in this day and age is just ridiculous.
