Hello to all. The name is Remie, residing in SoCal.

 

I've probably have been lurking this website for over 9 years (Somewhere around the time BBS came out. That, and along with KHInsider.) Didn't want to register or anything since I come and go.

 

If you're asking why I decided now to register, its quite simple.

 

[short story about me and Kingdom Hearts]

 

I first played Kingdom Hearts back in 2002 when it first got released. I believe I was in 6th or 7th grade (Went to EB Games which is now known as Gamestop to pick up my copy) I played all the way till Alice and Wonderland world then dropped the game cause I was so confused about everything. 4 years later in my Junior Year in high school, went on a Hawaii trip with my high school band and someone brought their PS2 with new copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 and I thought to myself, "Wow the game made it all the way to have a sequel. Cool." Graduated high school and fast forward to 2009, my 2nd year in College. I heard about Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and my mature self then said, "I think its finally time to dig into this Kingdom Hearts story and see what I've been missing out on." What triggered me to get more interested in Kingdom Hearts was that I saw one of my friends playing Kingdom Hearts 2 and was going against Sephiroth battle at level 27, and it peeped my interests since I am a Final Fantasy Fan. So I borrow my friends PS2 and his copy of Kingdom Hearts and played through it till the end. Only then I realized what I missed out on back when I was in middle school but you know, we were all young and naive at that point.

Fast forward to now, The list of games I have played is:

 

- Kingdom Hearts 1

- Kingdom Hearts 2

- Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

- Kingdom Hearts 3DS: Dream Drop Distance (Stopped at Trons world cause needed to cash in my game since I needed gas. Lol)

- 1.5 and 2.5

- Kingdom Hearts Unchained X

- and now Kingdom Hearts 2.8 (In which I am replaying Dream Drop Distance now and going to finally understand this side of the story.)

 

If again, you're asking why I finally decided to register? Lets just say, I've been following the lore since I completed Kingdom Hearts 2. Following how this mess was made, how it came to, how it started as Sora originally trying to save Kairi, into a deeper, darker story in which involves saving worlds and waking worlds.

 

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 bears a heart warm felt feeling since Birth By Sleep, leaving it off that Aqua sacrificed herself for Terra who unfortunately became the Xehanort that we all know as of now. It was the cliffhanger that reignited the spark and as till this day, finally getting closer to the question: Is Aqua finally going to be able to get out of the Realm of Darkness and finally see the Realm of Light after so many years of wandering alone?

 

It is the fact that I now know Kingdom Hearts III's release date is coming sooner than expected.

 

...and that is literally why I finally decided to register. To join everyone else on the hype train for Kingdom Hearts III.
