Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted February 8, 2017 That's cool. Damn, you can't get physical copies? I don't know how you do it. I absolutely refuse to download any full games because storage is trash 3 PrinceNoctis, smellslikejavier and Oli reacted to this

But yeah I fully support all those people who prefers physical over digital! and I'm really glad I'll finaly get to try this series. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted February 8, 2017 Ah, good for you, my friend! It seems you found the answer you were looking for! You'll indeed be able to experience this whole story in one sole system! Congratulations!!! 1 smellslikejavier reacted to this
BlankShell 638 Posted February 8, 2017 Hooray for mandatory digital releases! There's no way this wouldn't have gotten one, but anyway =P. Plenty of people don't have access to physical releases for whatever reason, and plenty of people prefer it. Digital's the medium of the future, yo. 1 smellslikejavier reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted February 8, 2017 That's great and all, but I really hope they don't make an exclusive theme that you can only get if you buy the digital version like with 2.8, I'd rather not have to buy the same KH game twice in order to get a nice looking theme that should just come with the game regardless of which version it is. 1 smellslikejavier reacted to this

Congratulations!!! Thank you man!! thanks for all your support on my other thread I couldn't be happier to read about this news ^_^ will be pre-ordering it day one for sure! Plenty of people don't have access to physical releases for whatever reason, and plenty of people prefer it. Digital's the medium of the future, yo. Haha yeah you're right, there was pretty much no reason for it to not have one! but I was still scared that it wouldn't for some reason x3 Even though I only buy digital stuff I really support physical copies, and I hope that digital doesn't take over at least not anytime soon But yes, hooray for PS4's mandatory releases!! -except for Lego Dimensions, Skylanders and Puyo Puyo Tetris- although the first two are understandable since one still needs physical stuff to play with them, but that last one is a weird case That's great and all, but I really hope they don't make an exclusive theme that you can only get if you buy the digital version like with 2.8, I'd rather not have to buy the same KH game twice in order to get a nice looking theme that should just come with the game regardless of which version it is. That's true, in my opinion at least it should be available only as a temporal exclusive for digital pre-orders and then be available on the PS Store for all the other people who got the physical release

MythrilMagician 6,963 Posted February 8, 2017 I honestly couldn't care less about a digital release (for KH, I'll only be getting physical), but for the people who either prefer or can only get digital, this is great. Utada's music might have been the reason preventing a digital release for all we know, so if it is the case, it looks like this issue has been resolved. That's cool. Damn, you can't get physical copies? I don't know how you do it. I absolutely refuse to download any full games because storage is trash Apparently a new update will allow external storage to support games. So that's promising. 1 smellslikejavier reacted to this

Apparently a new update will allow external storage to support games. So that's promising. I used to think Utada's music was the reason behind these after seeing all those people saying the same thing, but after I made that other thread asking if this collection would end up being released on the PS Store or not some user shared this article with me: http://www.siliconera.com/2011/02/23/nomura-comments-on-kingdom-hearts-birth-by-sleeps-absence-on-psn/ in which Nomura explains why BBS wasn't released on PSN: "The problem does not lie with Square Enix, Disney or Hikaru Utada who performed the game’s theme song. "It’s difficult because of a reason I cannot say," Nomura explained. Nomura says he is thinking about how to make a downloadable version available, but he needs more time." Well its not really an explanation since he "can't say" the real reason , but at least we know it never had anything to do with Utada, although that rumor is still circulating even to this day. Like someone else told me some time ago it might have had something to do with piracy, but yeah unless Nomura is allowed to explain the real reason someday we'll never know for sure. 1 MythrilMagician reacted to this

Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted February 8, 2017 Yeah, it's insane. It's best to get physical copies if you can and save the storage for digital only games, dlc, the free game of the month, etc.
Guest Posted February 8, 2017 Looks like 1.5 + 2.5 on PS4 is definitely the definitive way to experience the past Kingdom Hearts remasters. Best benefit of all, because all the remastered assets are recent, all Square Enix has to focus on at this point is quality control.
KeybladeMasterBalo 504 Posted February 8, 2017 When it comes to KH I love to get my physical copies! I support the accessibility on digital copies and all but I wouldn't go to buy them, any less for KH. I love to gather all of the game cases together and look at them. They are a bunch now and it does bring memories. So I will stick with physical for now and let's see what the future holds for us 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

smellslikejavier 20 Posted February 10, 2017 at some point inb the future there wont be any physical copies be made anymore for anything as sad as it is I have started to Print out the cover from the games that I only bought digital because I really Do NEED something that is more than just a short line of text in my online libary Ow they replaced my whole thread would've liked that they kept my original underneath the new one but it doesn't matter. Yes that's very sad but since the physical gaming market is still very healthy on consoles (and I think in many cases most of the sales comes from there) you shouldn't worry about it at all for now I strongly believe everything will still be physical when the PS5 comes and maybe the PS6 too, so companies won't get rid of the physical format until the digital one really takes over and physical stops being profitable, but like I said that won't happen in the nearly future so just don't think about it ;P
