Roleplay The Keyblade Master Raising Project! (RP)

Recommended Posts

(Guys remember to follow the thread!)

Welcome to version 1.2.0 Kupo!

We have fixed numerous bugs and added more quests kupo! Thank you for your continued support for Kingdom Hearts: Warriors of Light!

The young woman hummed as she clicked through her phone, passing the time of waiting for some rice to boil as she played with her phone game. It was strange to her at the very least; playing a game on the phone could never compare to playing a game in real life. This woman should know. She was Aqua after all: but to many others she was known as Master Aqua.

It was a while ago, when she got the offer. A Moogle appeared on her phone screen, offering her a chance to become a true Keyblade Wielder. In mild curiosity she said yes, maybe it was an event or something. But no. While she was cooking, a warm light engulfed her and when she looked in the window before her, she saw something a bit different than her normal reflection. She saw her avatar staring right back at her.

Now it's been awhile since then and Aqua now travels through the streets whenever she can, helping others and fighting strange creatures that bump in the night. These creatures have been hushed rumors through the city, but Aqua knows they are very much real.

With a idle chuckle, Aqua put away her phone as she turned off the stove. With a bright smile, Aqua called out into the house. “Dinner’s ready!!!”

“Damn.” Came a hiss as a young man with jet black hair laid on a bench at the park. He was checking the app in his phone, looking at the rankings.

“That damned AxelFury guy beat me? He better watch out…” he uttered darkly, munching on a bag of chips for the tenth time that day. His name was Vanitas, young punk by day and masked punk by night. “XIII is high up there too… Damn scrubs.” Suddenly a voice answered him from the phone.

“Attacking people with your Unversed then saving them doesn't give as much Lux as just honestly helping them kupo.”

“Shut up.”

~Sora (Reconnect)~

"Ha! Is that it?" Sora's phone, illuminate in the bleakness of his room, continued making sound effects that were close in likeness to paper slapping the floor. In actuality, he was preforming a special attack in a phone app he picked up quite some time ago. Today hadn't been an all productive day for Sora, just some minor chores done around the house; otherwise, he's been on his phone, or napping. It wasn't until later at night he began doing things he really liked doing.

It was evening, Sora had noted. Putting down his device, he glanced out the window, initially only for a small peek of his street, but found himself staring longer when he noticed the lack of people. Maybe the rumor of monsters has kept people inside more than not. It's funny how people limit themselves due to simple rumors. Sometimes, however, rumors or more than that. Sora was one of many who knew this. Sora, along with many others, had received an upgrade, of sorts. While he enjoyed Kingdom Hearts: Warriors of Light after school on a Sunday evening, he received a notification, offering him a position of Keyblade Wielder.

Aren't I Keyblade Wielder already? Sora pondered. Out of curiosity, Sora accepted the offer, and found his life changed in ways he wouldn't have imagined possible in this life.

"Sora! Dinner's ready, come on down!" Sora jumped with a start, briefly lost in memory of how his adventure started what seems like months ago now.

'Sora?' His mother continued, beckoning him down to join her at the table.

             "I'm on my way!"

~Ventus (ShatteredBlade)~

Autumn was here, that much had been obvious. Ventus loved the Autumn season. The breeze, the smells, the colors changing. It felt almost like a different town during Autumn. During this time of year, he'd make his visits to the park last longer than he'd usually plan. Even though for the most part he'd play on his phone. A game his brother had introduced to him. Ventus would lay by the fountain, ever spouting, with his phone planted firmly in his hands, tapping and sliding away at Kingdom Hearts: Warriors of Light.

Ventus wasn't too good, but he wasn't terrible. His weekly rankings were almost matched with someone else, but he'd never manage to get above that mark. Still, Ventus played every day, doing what he could to gather what the game called 'Lux.' Not too far away he heard a boy hissing and tapping at his phone, looking extremely invested in whatever it was that was on the screen. Ventus' curiosity drew him to the boy, but his logic kept him locked in place.

Maybe if I walk by when I head home... Wait, what time is it? Ventus jumped, noticing the darkening sky. At least it was bright enough for him to get home and not worry about getting mugged on the way. He hopped to his feet, shuffling the leaf crumbs away, and started heading back to his home, passing the grunting boy. Ventus was right, he was also playing Kingdom Hearts.

Beep! Ventus, startled by the noise on his phone, looked at it with a mixture of surprise and interest.

             Congratulations Kupo!
Thank you for your time playing Kingdom Hearts: Warriors of Light!
I have deemed you worthy to become a real life Keyblade Wielder kupo! If you accept, I will grant you your powers kupo and you will transform into your avatar kupo! [YES] [NO]

Ventus, confused by the notification, decided to wait and choose when he arrived at home. Locking his phone, Ventus continued on his way, leaving the park, took a left at the exit, and started once again on his way home.

{Lea-AxelFury}

Lea opened an eye as he emerged from his nap. He was sprawled out on a coach in his apartment, still recovering from a late night of daring heroics. Contemplating going back to sleep, he picked his phone up from a side table and checked the time. What got him to wake up a little more was that he had a notification that Warriors of Light had updated. He opened the app and checked on the update. Ever since he had gotten the offer to bring his avatar out of the game, he had kept an eye on the updates in case other weird offers like that came along. The update notes looked uninteresting.

Dropping his phone on his chest, Lea yawned. Maybe Isa or XIII would be around soon to play with.

{Riku-DawnPath383}

Riku finished sweeping up in the kitchen of the Community Center, where he did odd jobs as part of the community service part of his sentence. He was actually coming up on his required hours, but he was considering volunteering after that. It was a good way to give back, and he had been gaining some respect for his work. Still, it was good to be done with today's work.

After checking in with the kitchen manager, Riku clocked out and headed home. If Kairi wasn't busy tonight, he might try to help her get some levels. But The after something to eat.

{Invi-Foreteller_Anguis}

Invi sat at her computer, looking over some of her notes of the other Keyblade Wielders she had been able to identify over the past few months. Most seemed like nice enough sorts, and she had met a few, but she was still worried. The most worrying currently was user TheMaskedBoy27. Records of his actions were suspicious. He might need closer attention in future.

-Roxas-

The young man hummed to himself as he jumped building to building. Despite school just ending, Roxas wanted to get some patrol time in for the extra Lux. He felt somewhat competitive when it came to Lux, so he liked being high in the rankings. It made him feel proud, like he actually did something worthwhile for once. It was a purpose.

Roxas didn't bother calling for AxelFury- the goof was probably sleeping as always. Still, couldn't help but try.

He paused on a rooftop, stopping by in the special Keyblade Wielder only chatroom. Upon not seeing Axel's avatar in the plaza of Daybreak Town, Roxas shook his head and decided to send the guy a private message.

'Hey Axel, meet me by the fountain in our district tonight. We should catch some bad guys together.' He couldn't help but chuckle as he was typing that. Axel had a habit of going insane if nothing interesting was going on.

Suddenly Roxas turned around and peeked over the edge of the building. He heard some kind of noise.

And there he was. Roxas' twin brother. Roxas forgot he was nearby the park. Ventus must've stopped there. With a shake of his head, Roxas dropped down in the alleyway before him to revert back to his original self. As he saw Ventus walk past, Roxas snuck up behind to meet him.

"Ven!" Roxas said with a chuckle as he wrapped an arm around his brother. "Aqua invited us to eat at her place. You're so slow with checking your messages."

-Kairi-

This young lady meanwhile was having the time of her life. New powers meant freedom from her overprotective father and new fun abilities!

She was fighting behind a building, practicing her abilities on a oil can.

"Fire! Take this!" She giggled as the oil can went flying. So many fun things happened today; she saved an old woman from traffic and saved a cat in a tree! Sure standard keyblade wielder Magic prevented anyone from remembering it was her if she willed it, but that was okay.

As she stopped and panted, she couldn't help but notice a familiar face walking in the sidewalk nearby; Riku. His shift ended already.

"Riku!" Kairi chimed, waving at him as she ran up to meet him. "You won't believe what I did today! I've been practicing like you said!" She was so excited, she forgot to revert back to her normal attire. Her Keyblade was still in her hand and everything.

~Sora (Reconnect)~

"Thanks, mom!" Sora was definitely grateful for a dinner such as this; it wasn't often his mother cooked up his favorite meal; grilled chicken, served with a side of Poisson Cru. These were the kind of meals they'd have when they lived on the island years ago, thus the nostalgia seemed to boost the taste. Usually, he'd take his time to enjoy such a meal, but today, he really wanted to get out and ready for some serious grinding. Luckily, there would be plenty left over if he chose to fully enjoy the meal later. Patting his stomach, Sora spouted up and out of the chair, and up to his room to grab his phone. Sora's Mom didn't think to much of how her child seemed to be in more of a rush lately, although it did grow some concern... No, Sora was too good of a child to be dealing. He had his keys, and she knew he'd be responsible if he left late at night.

Up in Sora's room, he flipped on the light, causing some items in the room to appear more prominent than others. His white keyboard with specks of red from ketchup stains, a stack of hot pink paper he used for school promotions (He found that hot pink grabs peoples attention more than other colors.) Still, the only thing he was really focused on was messaging his closest friends. Grabbing his phone up in his hands, he began typing vigorously.

             To: DawnPath383, PrincessOfHeartHikari
             Message:
hey! u 2 down for sum grind? hear the beach is worse recently than the majority of town. want 2 meet there?

Hitting send, Sora already gathered his keys, and began heading out his front door, briefly bidding his mom goodnight before heading out to what he hoped to be a successful raid.

~Ventus (ShatteredBlade)~

"Woah, Roxas! Don't pop out of nowhere like that!" Ventus, jumping back at the surprise of his brother, mere moments after convincing himself it was too early for muggers.  His brother, now with an arm rested on his shoulder, reminding him of a certain dinner that they had planned.

"Oh, right, sorry," Ventus rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment, "I completely... forgot. I got distracted with Kingdom Hearts. It's really the only thing I think about now." He hesitated a moment, reaching into his pocket to grab his phone, which he unlocked mere moments later.

"Especially since earlier I got this weird message on it." Ventus spoke, shoving the phone into Roxas' face for a few moments, before putting it away again.. "Anyway, lead the way." While Ventus had been to Aqua's plenty of times, he didn't really know how to get there from the park.

--Terra (Earthbound1014)--

"Yeah, I'll be right there!" called a voice from deeper within the house in response to Aqua's dinner call.  The brunet was tousling his wet hair with a towel as he turned the corner down the hall.  The urge to snatch up the smartphone in his pocket to check on his Warriors of Light app was strong, yet he repressed the urge as he entered the kitchen with a smile.

"Mmm, something smells absolutely delicious.  What did you make?"  He snatched up the lid off the pot of rice, steam immediately clouding his vision.  Needless to say that he clamped the lid back on almost as promptly as he removed it before swiping the pot off the stove and setting it on the kitchen table.

The decor throughout the house was lovely, and Terra always considered it home after a long day of school.  He'd given Aqua the pleasure of decorating it to her heart's content, and the results didn't disappoint him in the slightest.  He began to set out some china and silverware for the two to eat on, before making his way back over to the fridge to peer inside.

"What would you like to drink, Aqua?" he asked, head in the fridge.  "We've got cream soda and orange juice.  Unless you just want some water; we've got that, too."

--Isa (diviner_of_the_moon)--

Almost as though Isa knew he was being telepathically summoned, he rapped his knuckles on the door to Lea's apartment.  He was only paying a small bit of attention, however; the majority of his focus was on his iphone in hand, checking scores of other Warriors of Light.  He scoffed.  How in the world did Reconnect have so many points already?  Who was this kid anyway?

Isa had taken this app to a whole new level.  While he did enjoy going around the world and fighting crime in a fancy avatar coat and weapon, the main reason he enjoyed the game was for competition and sport.  He could understand Lea doing so well--they'd started playing around the same time and Isa taught him everything he knew--but there were so many young ones giving the man a run for his money.  That hardly seemed fair.

-Aqua-

The young woman laughed when the steam utterly attacked Terra's face. She shook her head with a lopsided smile, taking chicken cutlets out of a pan and setting it on a plate.

"Chicken and rice, silly. I should've made pasta though since Ven and Roxas are coming over to eat with us. The woman at Price Rite though told me how she perfects her rice so I really wanted to try it." Aqua couldn't help but smile softly at the idea of the twins coming to eat with them. It made her feel like they were all one big happy family. The twins were like her kids, and Terra her- wait, no.

"I'll uh, I'll have some water. Knowing those two they'll down the soda like their life depended on it." She said with a chuckle, walking over to Terra to pat his head. "Don't think I didn't notice your little gift in the notifications, mister. You spoil me too much." She blinked down at her phone, noticing someone has entered the Keyblade Chatroom.

"It's that girl named Fuu... wow I never see her in the chat room. Sometimes I forget she's one of us."

Meanwhile Roxas shook his head as Ventus utterly freaked out underneath his arm. His brother was so jumpy.

"Oh relax. Who'd want to rob you anyway? All they get is lunch money." Roxas said with a chuckle. When Ventus shoved his phone in Roxas' face, his eyes widened.

"W-What?! No way!" Upon realizing what he shouted about, Roxas quieted down and rubbed the back of his head. He tried to feign sarcasm. "Wooooow. That's incredible! You got a message in a phone game." He shook his head and grabbed Ventus' hand. "Come on, let's go!" Roxas couldn't help but look to the side deep in thought. So Ven got the message. Should he let him do it? As fun as it was, there was danger.

--Terra--

The brunet's expression changed at the mention of the twins.  He cocked a brow.  "Oh, so we're playing house tonight, are we?"  Terra inquired, snatching up the water jug and root beer from the fridge and closing the door with his foot.  "Darn.  I was looking forward to our little date night."  He mostly said it to make Aqua blush, even though deep down he actually meant it.

After pulling out some more chinaware and maneuvering the dishes he had the table set for four.  He even exchanged their glasses for character cups that he knew the kids all adored (and Princess Cinderella for Aqua, for reasons he found amusing).  At the mention of notifications Terra began to whistle, busying himself with folding a kitchen towel and patting it down over and over again.  "What gift?  I have no idea what you're talking about."  His voice said it all, guilty as charged.  "And anyway, I wanted to.  You work so hard and you're always so busy; you deserve a little payoff every now and again."

He so badly wanted to hug her.  Aqua looked absolutely adorable with the way she came over to him and patted his head like a small child--or affectionate spouse, but he knew that he couldn't view it that way.  It would be wrong too, plus he cared for Aqua too much.  Instead he smiled sheepishly, shrugging off the urge and rolling up his sleeves.  "So . . . when can we start expecting those kids?"  As though realizing how bad it sounded, Terra immediately followed up with, "I mean Ven and Roxas.  Shouldn't they be here by now?"

{Lea-AxelFury}

Lea was considering getting up when he got XIII's message. He grinned as he read it.

"Finally." Lea said with a chuckle.

As Lea started typing a response, there was a knock on his door. Rolling his eyes, he got up and went to the door to use the peep hole. There, he saw the scowling monster from his childhood.

"Isa!" Lea greeted jovially as he threw the door open. "Come on in. I don't suppose you're here to buy me dinner, eh?"

{Riku-DawnPath383}

Riku was drawn out of thought by Kairi's greeting. He smiled and waved back while he suppressed a sigh at her not turning off her avatar. It was an unwritten rule of the real life wielders to keep who they were secret. Riku sometimes questioned this, but he read enough comic books to never fully dismiss the safety of it.

"Hey!" He said back. "You left the game on again."

A buzz from his pocket told Riku he had a message. Slipping out his phone, he read Sora's message.

"Though with sleepyhead up and ready to play, I may need to be the one to change."

He put his phone back in his vest pocket and shrugged at Kairi.

"You up for a patrol?"

{Invi-Foreteller_Anguis}

Invi shut off her files on other wielders and tried to focus on her project, but found she had already used up her focus. Lately she had come to curse the game for how much time it took from her. But if she didn't keep this power from running wild and finding out where it came from, who would?

Resigning herself to an unproductive night, Invi for up from her computer, snagging her water bottle as she rose. She took a quick swig as she walked over to an end table where she had set her phone and purse when she had gotten home from classes.

"May my heart be my guiding key." Invi repeated, a phrase from Warriors of Light she had found comfort in.

Letting out a deep breath, she put down the water, picked up the purse and slung it over her shoulder, then finally picked up her phone. After dismissing a few emails from the university, she opened the Warriors of Light app. After a few seconds of loading and a password she had set up, the option to activate avatar appeared. Invi hit yes and was enveloped in light for an instant, then stood as her avatar. One of the first things she had noticed when she first transformed was how much easier it was to move in these robes then she had thought. Luckily that bit of video game logic had made it over. Using a window, Invi went out of her apartment and out into the night to make sure nothing bad happened this night.

~Sora (Reconnect)~

Getting to the beach from Sora's house was easily the least troublesome route he could think of. Not that it was close, no. He just had an interesting, new found method of getting from point A to point B in a flash. Once out the door and onto the street, he looked around to be sure none were around. Once verified that he was alone, Sora reached into his pocket, and tugged out his Galaxy S7, taking no time in hesitation to log into Warriors of Light and activating his avatar. A rush of light engulfed the area briefly as he felt himself being granted once again the abilities that helped him protect the city. Now donned in black and red attire, Sora dashed into the fence, jumping onto the roof of a nearby house, and continued dashing and jumping his way towards the beach.

Flowmotion, he called this ability. Or rather, that's what the Moogle told him it is. The ability to utilize the environment around him as both a form of transportation and combat assistance. "You can go anywhere at the blink of an eye, Kupo!" And boy, that moogle was right. Not only was it fast, but hell was it enjoyable; to be able to seemingly fly across the city, to jump off the sides of buildings and dash into another, creating a continuous stream of distance traveled. Sora supposed that this is why it was called "Flowmotion."

Once at the beach, Sora hid himself under a nearby dock, waiting for his friends to meet him,

~Ventus (ShatteredBlade)~

"Aqua! Terra!" Ventus called in as he didn't bother to knock. Aqua and Terra were his best friends- even though they were much older than him. They listened, and told funny stories and jokes. Ventus was greeted by the sweet smell of rice and chicken, probably freshly made. "Sorry we're late! I went to the park and I wasn't really sure how to get here from there, so Roxas led the way!" Ventus juggled the phone around in his pocket. He was hoping that when he got home, he could check out that message again, but he knew it was rude to check your phone around your friends. Then again, Ventus knew that Terra and Aqua played Warriors of Light too. Maybe they wouldn't mind all that much.

Ventus walked into the kitchen, and wrapped the two in a brief hug.

"So, dinner's ready then? I'm starving.. and also parched. What you got to drink?

-Roxas-

Roxas rolled his eyes as his brother practically barged into Aqua and Terra's home. Sure the twins were welcomed there, but they still had to respect privacy. Aqua and Terra were adults after all. If Eraqus was there Ventus was sure in for a lecture.

"Ever heard of knocking?" He asked as he walked right in behind Ventus, hands behind his head. "Sorry guys. I hope this doofus isn't interrupting anything important." He shrugged and couldn't help but smile at the wonderful smell of the foods

"Wow, that smells great Aqua!"

-Aqua-

Aqua couldn't help but chuckle softly, looking over to the table freshly set up for dinner. Aqua was waiting for this moment all day.

"W-Well I mean they are kids after all..." Aqua said with a small blush, poking Terra's nose before she checked the clock on her phone. "I hope nothing bad happened..." Just then the door swung open and not even a moment later arms were wrapped tightly around her and Terra. She felt her cheeks squeeze against his.

"Hi there, Ven." Aqua said with a small giggle, returning the boy's hug. Despite Roxas and Ventus looking exactly alike, Aqua could definitely tell who was who.

"Don't worry Roxas. You two are right on time! I just finished cooking."

-Ava-

A small giggle was heard nearby Invi as Ava sat right on the rooftop of their apartment building. Ava was on her phone and eating a small popcicle stick. She was waiting for the girl the entire time.

"You say it even in your normal life too huh?" Asked the girl, reaching into her pocket to offer her a popcicle.

"I do too. Here you go. I saw a bunch of kids eating this ice cream and I really wanted to try it. It's sea salt ice cream. It sounds gross but it's really good." She let her feet dangle over the building, swinging it back and forth as she breathed in the fresh air of the night. "You deserve it."

-Kairi-

Kairi couldn't help but rub her head bashfully at Riku's comment. She forgot to change back as usual.

"Sorry! I'll be extra careful next time." She giggled and looked around, making sure no one was nearby. "I just get really excited." She looked down at her phone and showed it to Riku with a smile. "Look at all the Lux I got!" When they got the message and Riku offered a patrol, Kairi nodded excitedly. "Yeah!"

--Isa (Diviner_of_the_moon)--

The blue-haired man glanced up as Lea opened the door and greeted him.  He raised a brow casually as Lea proposed his question.  "Do you really think that I am simply some money pants that can buy you whatever you need?"  He let out a sigh, revealing a brown paper bag that had been clutched at his side and out of view.  "But nevertheless, you are correct.  I hope that you're in the mood for some sweet and sour chicken and won-tons."

Isa accepted the invitation and entered Lea's apartment, barely glancing around before setting the paper bag on to his coffee table.  He collapsed on the couch and rubbed his temples.  "It's been a long day," he commented, throwing his head against the back of the sofa.  "People with their stupid demands all the time.  I really don't know why I even bother sometimes."

Finally the elder of the two straightened, meeting Lea's eye with an expressionless face.  "So how have you been, Lea?  Enjoying yourself as always, I presume?"

--Terra (Earthbound1014)--

Alas, the peace and quiet did not last long, for just as he finished voicing his concerns the twins managed to barrel through the house and give them hugs.  A chuckle escaped the brunet as he returned Ventus' brief, gentle hug and tousled Roxas' hair simultaneously.  "Well, hey you two.  We were just talking about whether you guys decided to ditch us for not."

He gestured toward the table which had already been set.  "We've got lots for you guys to drink.  Water, orange juice . . . soda."  He knew that once he mentioned soda it would be all over and nothing more would be up for debate.  He steered Ventus in the direction of the table, releasing the youth's shoulders as he took a seat in the place that held a Captain America cup, his personal favorite super hero.

"So what have you guys been up to lately, hmm?  Hopefully you're not shirking too much homework with the Master-Raising project, like I have been."  He snatched Aqua's plate and began piling it with the delectable chicken and rice, placing it back down in front of her before beginning to serve himself.  "Man some of those guys have gotten tough so quickly.  What do you think of Dawnpath?  He seems kind of annoying to me."

{Invi-Foreteller_Anguis}

Invi jumped at Ava's voice.

"Don't do that." She snapped.

Shaking her head, Invi jumped up next to Ava, and sat down. She felt very self-conscious about her little sister hearing her recite the quote.

"It just helps sometimes." She said, trying to sound dismissive.

She accepted the ice cream and looked at it suspiciously. The idea of a sea salt ice cream sounded odd. She pulled down her face scarf down and took a small bite out of it. It was as odd as she had guessed, but still pretty good.

"Not bad." She admitted, taking another bite.

Invi let Ava's final words mull over in her mind. She had been working hard of late, both in school and in the game. While she did worry about what could happen, things seemed to be getting better because of the wielders. Maybe it was okay to just look at what was happening just in the present and enjoy it.

"Thanks, Ava." Invi said, giving her little sister a half hidden smile. "For the ice cream too."

{Riku-DawnPath383}

"It happens." Riku reassured Kairi. "It might be the Spider-Man cartoons talking."

He typed up a message to Sora, saying he and Kairi were on there way. He paused a moment to check out Kairi's Lux levels. He didn't really cared about Lux himself, but it was a nice little score keeper.

"Awesome!" He said, finishing up the message and sending it through hebchat to Sora. "Once we get down the beach, I might break off to get food, but I'll keep it portable."

He glanced around for a moment, then gave Kairi a "one moment" finger raise.

He backed into a little cove and activated his avatar. Aftet a brief swirl of darkness, Riku stood in his black coat and blindfold.

He had gotten the blindfold after a game event where The Seeker of Darkness was hunting everyone. Riku had some luck strikes and defeated the boss and was awarded with the blindfold in game. And when he had accepted the game's offer to become his avatar, the blindfold was automatically equipped. He didn't really mind, though. It didn't obscure his vision and it had a mask quality to it, which was nice.

"Alright, I'm good to go." Riku said, stepping out of the cove.

{Lea-AxelFury}

"Better to be a money pants then a fussy britches." Lea quipped as his friend came in.

As Isa passed him, Lea gave him a friendly pat on the back before closing the door. He then went to check on the beverage situation in his fridge. Isa's frustrated comment on his day made Lea shake his head. It was stuff like that that kept the red head in lower paying, but less stressful, jobs.

"Sorry, man." He said to commiserate, resting an arm on the fridge's door and looking at his friend.

Isa's questions sparked Lea's "lighten the mood" senses.

"Pretty much." He answered, going back to rummaging in the fridge. "That new job at the music shop has been fun and Warriors of Light keeps me mostly out of trouble."

He paused a moment.

"Okay, fridge consensus is I have water, milk, a couple cans of Mountain Dew, and maaaybe a glass of green tea left. What'll it be?"

~Sora (Reconnect)~

Patience was something Sora had to gain overtime. At least, patience when it came to waiting for something to happen did. Riku and Kairi were taking longer than he had anticipated- but this time it wasn't getting to him as much. There weren't any creatures out stirring yet anyway. He found a good way to pass the time anyway; watching the horizon as the sun slowly descends over the ocean, twilight turning overtime to dusk. Sora remembered a line he heard from a game once.

"Twilight is the time when we're most connected to other worlds." One of his favorite video games- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He wondered if there were any worlds besides his own that looked at the sky the same way he did. Worlds of brighter colors, worlds of more extensive seas, worlds of shinier suns. He wanted to see them someday,  if they existed. Getting lost in his own thoughts and ideas, Sora eventually dozed off, and began to dream.

~Ventus (ShatteredBlade)~

"Soda? Sounds great! You have anything Cherry flavored?" Ventus took the seat that was closest to a cup with his favorite Superhero; Storm from Marvel's X-MEN. The same cup he always used when they were at Aqua's house. Terra had asked them how progress was going on the Kingdom Hearts app, to which Ventus briefly hesitated to answer.

"I've been doing pretty okay," he started, looking down slightly, "there's this guy called TheMaskedBoy27 who keeps getting a little more points than me, but one day I know I'll rise above him!" Ventus hoped they wouldn't look at the scores for reference- he knew how far below them he was. "I also got a strange notification today while playing, asking me if I wanted to become a 'real Keyblade wielder.' I'll probably answer after dinner, if you guys wanna fight a raid boss together. The new quest is supposed to spawn a real baddy!"

(Man, there's this guy in Kingdom Hearts: Warriors of Light that keeps kicking my ass...

Is it TheMaskedBoy27!?

It's TheMaskedBoy27...)

-Aqua/Master Aqua-

Aqua gently pushed Ventus away, slicking his hair back to kiss him on the forehead. She loved babying Ventus, especially since Roxas always hated it when Aqua did it to him. She loved her cute little boys.

"Yes, we have soda, but don't drink too much!" Aqua warned. It was dinner, so she decided to let them spoil themselves. She couldn't help it, Ventus and Roxas were just so sweet. She went to sit down next to Terra, chuckling softy as she looked down at the Black Widow cup. She always took out the Wonder Woman cup for herself, but for some reason Terra kept picking the Black Widow for her. Now that she thought about it, maybe Black Widow suited her better.

"You boys better be careful..." Aqua warned, using her hands as binoculars. "I'm a super secret spy!"

When Terra began serving her, Aqua couldn't help but huff. Terra had a habit of just piling a bunch of food on her plate. Aqua didn't have the huge stomach that Terra did.

"Why thank you, Kirby." Aqua said with a giggle, picturing the little pink character with Terra's hair. She waited for everyone to be finished serving her to eat.

The dinner was wonderful. Aqua enjoyed watching everyone eat, content to just being with one another. It warmed up her heart. What she didn't expect though was for what Ventus just mentioned.

"I think Dawnpath is pretty- What!?" Her eyes widened. Did Ventus just say what she thinks he just said? "Ven... can you show me the message?" She looked to Terra, completely unsure of what to think. If Ventus really was chosen to become a Keyblade Weilder, Aqua didn't know if it was safe enough for Ventus to do something like that. Sure, it was fun, but fighting crime could be dangerous. 'Maybe if he only just does simple things...?' Aqua thought to herself.

-Roxas/NumberXIII-

Roxas couldn't help but mentally fistbump when Terra mentioned that they had soda, even after Terra ruffled hair. Roxas doubted they had Mountain Dew, the best drink in the world, but any soda would have to do. Roxas just couldn't help it if the best thing in the world was Mountain Dew and Doritos.

"Sweet! Thanks guys!" Roxas said with a grin, sitting down right at his Wolverine cup. He always found it weird that Ventus loved Storm, but honestly his twin was just weird in general.

When Terra began to talk about the game, Roxas couldn't help but almost choke on his food. He completely forgot about the message Ventus got. Worst yet, Roxas knew Aqua and Terra were apart of the game, but they didn't know he was.

'Please let this idiot not say it.' Roxas thought to himself, taking a sip of his soda. "Oh Dawnpath? Yeah he's cool. We're like the biggest rivals right now. I challenge him to a fight all the time." He tried stop Ventus from talking, but it was in vain.

Ventus began to talk, although it was pretty normal. TheDouchebag27 (as Roxas called him) being a jerk as always. Nothing new.

But then Ventus mentioned the message. At that point now Roxas just straight up facepalmed. Of course Ventus had to say it.

"I'm a Keyblade Weilder too." Roxas said blankly, putting his hands on the table before Aqua and Terra could say anything. "I've been one for a few months now."

Aqua looked to Roxas, eyes narrowed. "Roxas! Why didn't you tell us?"

"Because I didn't want you guys being up my butt all the time! So I changed my account from TheKeyofDestiny to NumberXIII after I became one. I recognized you two as soon as I saw the chat system for the Wielders. Look, I've been fine all this time with my partners Axel and Diviner. If you let Ventus become a Wielder I can train him myself!" Ventus had to say it, didn't he.

Aqua went quiet. NumberXIII was a powerful Wielder. Skilled too. That explains why TheKeyofDestiny was offline all the time. So much for dinner.

-Kairi/PrincessofHeartHikari-

Kairi smiled proudly, eyes beaming when Riku congratulated her for her mediocre rank in the rankings. She happily fistbumped the air. When Riku finally managed to transform into his avatar, Kairi grabbed his hand with a giggle.

"Come on Riku! We can't keep Sora waiting! For all we know, that sleepy bum is probably asleep."

Once they got to the beach, Kairi looked around. Of course, Sora was a sleep. With a small sigh, she walked over to her dear friend.

"You want to wake him up or should I?" Kairi asked with a mischevious smile. "He'll probably be asleep by the time you get your food."

-Ava/Foreteller_Vulpes-

Ava couldn't help but smile as her sister accepted the ice cream, even if she was mad at her for scaring her. She looked out into the city lights below as she munched on her icecream.

"See? I told you it's good." She said with a chuckle. Still, she couldn't help but sigh as she thought about all the events as of late.

"I... I investigated the rumors of creatures attacking people at night." Ava muttered, clutching her icecream stick tightly. "They're true. It has to be TheMaskedBoy. I've seen him summon some of those things in the chatroom. I was going to confront him in his district, but I wanted to tell you first since you're the best at talking things through. I don't want this to end up in a fight. Since he's given others trouble in the past..." she hummed in thought. "Why is he doing that though? You have to do good deeds to get Lux..."

{Riku-DawnPath383}

Riku chuckled slightly at finding Sora asleep. Again.

"Always sleeping on the job." He said, shaking his head in mock disappointment.

He weighed the options of enjoying waking up his friend or grabbing food.

"You go for it." Riku told Kairi. "I'll go to that hot dog stand we passed. Shouldn't be long."

With that, he shut off his avatar and jogged to the hot dog stand. Besides, Sora would probably prefer Kairi to do the waking.

{Invi-Foreteller_Anquis}

Invi munched on her ice cream as Ava spoke, her moment of contentment passing. She slowed down her eating and considered the tale of TheMaskedBoy. She always suspected him of something, but she hadn't been in the chat room in ages. She might have to watch that place for clues in future.

"Actually preforming good deeds require a good heart." She said. "I guess TheMaskedBoy is trying to fake it."

"Just like I was worried would happen." Invi continued in the privacy of her own head.

Still, Ava was right. This didn't have to escalate to violence. Even if it did, she wasn't too worried. She outleveled him and felt her special ability could counter even his summoned creatures.

"I will talk to him." She said aloud. "If nothing else, he will have to think twice about using his pets to terrorize people."

--Isa (Diviner_of_the_moon)--

"Oh, no need to even ask.  I'll take the mountain dew," came Isa's response as he began unwrapping the meal he'd brought for them.  "And do you have any silverware clean?  The lady didn't give me anything for us to eat with."

He leaned back against the couch while awaiting Lea's return, opening a box of sweet and sour chicken to sniff-test.  Isa had a rather sensitive nose and could often tell when things were going bad.  Not that he distrusted all fresh food made for him, but he'd had his fair share of bad Chinese food experiences.  Some chains just didn't take the proper care of their supplies and equipment.

"I'm glad the music business is still going strong for you," Isa called from the where he sat on the couch.  "Sometimes I wish I'd just followed your example and did something I loved.  Life would indeed be simpler, would it not?"  He pulled out his phone and opening his Warrior of Light app while he waited for his friend's return so they could start eating.  His expression remained emotionless as he flicked through his scores and into the game itself, though he did give a moment's pause as he glanced at MaskedBoy27's score.  How was he doing so well?  He'd quickly shot up and succeeded even his own score, something Isa was not particularly fond of.  Sure, he'd been busy and unable to dedicate as much time as he liked to the game, but still.

--Terra (Earthbound1014)--

"Oh, come on, Aqua, don't ruin their fun.  Let them enjoy their soda as much as they want.  It's not like they get our super special parenting at home," Terra teased, filling both of the boys' glasses with the 2 liter bottle in his hand.  "And sorry, no cherry or Mountain Dew this time because I thought I might get slaughtered if I brought caffeine into the house, but I've got good ol' fashioned root beer."

Their meal was delectable, as Terra had predicted.  "My compliments to the chef!" Terra called out, fork raised and a grin on his face in Aqua's direction.

Their dinner was enjoyable and sweet, until Ventus broke the news of becoming a Keyblade wielder.  Terra glanced at Aqua at about the same time she looked to him, his brows furrowed into a slight frown.  He wasn't quite expecting that.  After all of the dangers that the two of them had encountered on their own he wasn't sure about the same befalling either of the twins, though he felt that he was in no position to stop them.

It then became a battle of wills between Aqua and Roxas, the two of them arguing about being a part of the game and what Ventus should do.  The brunet listened carefully with his fingers intertwined, resting his elbows on the table.  "Well, Ventus, how do you feel about it?" Terra asked calmly, turning to the blond youth.  "This could get pretty dangerous and you might have to fight people who could kill you.  Do you think you feel up to it?  It's not just a game if you decide to become a Keyblade wielder, you know.  It's real life and the real deal.  There's no backing out of it once you agree."

While Terra was concerned for Ventus and Roxas he felt that they were old enough to make their own decisions.  It worried him that they'd put themselves in danger, but he also knew that it'd be impossible to protect them forever.

~Sora (Reconnect)~

"Uggh, neither of you have to wake me up." Sora rubbed his eyes groggily, sitting up near the shoreline. "Food sounds great. I can chip in if you want." Sora tossed a few crumpled up dollar bills towards Riku before picking himself up off the ground to stand upright. At least, that's what he wanted to do, and he would have, if Riku hadn't already left. He shoved the currency back into his pockets, and stretched.

"Hey, Kairi. I saw your score, you've been doing a lot better. I'm guessing you have Riku to thank for that?" Sora spoke, both hands on his hips in a slightly teasing motion. "Just kidding. I'm glad you're here." Sora shuffled his pants, shaking off what sand he could before once again returning to the shoreline.

"Life's really become an adventure, huh...?"

~Ventus (ShatteredBlade)~

The mass chaos that ensued soon after Ventus mentioned his notification did nothing more than drag him into a confused state. It's just a game, right? Why would his friends seem worried for his safety? And why would his brother be so passionate about it? Amidst the ruckus, Ventus pulled out his phone to read the notification to himself again.

              Real Keyblade Wielder...?

"I don't get why you guys are freaking out like this. There's no way something like this could be rea- Oh, I get it. You're trying to prank me, right?" Ventus let out a chuckle. He knew it would've been all in good fun. "You guys really confused me there!" He looked at his phone and quickly hit the 'YES' option. "Ooooh, spooky, now I'm gonn-"

It was only seconds after he had began his sentence that his body began to glow. A strange feeling of euphoria enveloped him- a lightness he hadn't known before. A blade appeared before him, floating vertically, beckoning his hand. He stared in awe, briefly forgetting the people standing around him, and the dinner he somehow managed to ruin. He took the blade, and almost immediately, the glowing intensified, growing to a nearly blinding brightness; Ventus grimaced.

When his eyes were once again open, his clothes were noticeably different, yet familiar. This was... his avatar on this game?

"Wha- What is... this?" Ventus asked audibly.

"That's your Avatar, Kupo! You can now use the keyblade in your world!" A voice of unspeakable cuteness broke his concentration. Was it coming from his phone? His thoughts were confirmed when he glanced at the screen- a Moogle was talking to him. "If you have any questions, ask me at any time Kupo!" Ventus screamed, and dropped his phone on the ground (luckily without breaking it.)

"WHAT IS THIS?" He asked one last time, looking towards his friends.

-Roxas, Number_XIII-

Roxas groaned in aggravation at Aqua's reaction. It was exactly why he kept his identity a secret from the two elders. Aqua kept just babying him and it was just so annoying.

"Ugh, Aqua, we're not kids anymore! I know Ventus is an doofus but trust me, I'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." He couldn't help but look at Terra, shocked that he seemed to be actually taking his side. That was the first.

"See? Even your boyfriend thinks so-" he was cut off by a bright flashing light which caused the young boy to shield his eyes. As soon as it dissapeared, he saw his brother standing there in his avatar.

"Well now you done it." Roxas said with a sigh, shrugging his shoulders. At least Aqua couldn't say anything anymore about the decision. Roxas completely ignored Ventus' reaction and more on husband outfit.

"Dude I told you to change your avatar parts like for the longest time now! You look so dorky it's not even funny."

-Aqua, MasterAqua-

Aqua was more than frustrated at Roxas. That boy was so rebellious, so hardheaded and strong willed. Not only was Roxas getting himself into trouble, he was going to bring Ventus into it too. The twins were truly a duo of terror.

"Roxas, that's not the point. Don't you realize how dangerous it is? You two could get killed!" She looked over to Terra, crossing her arms as she huffed at him.

"Terra you're not actually thinking of letting Ven do this? He's going to get himself hurt!" All of the protests seemed to be in vain, for suddenly a blinding light emerged, with it revealing Ventus as a brand new keyblade Wielder.

"Oh my- Ven!" Aqua ran her hands through her hair. She just about had it for today. "Ven why would you say yes..."

Suddenly Aqua received a message on her phone. She looked down to see an announcement from the app.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Congradulations on ShatteredBlade for joining the proud union of Keyblade Wielders Kupo!

-Kairi, PrincessofHeartHikari-

Kairi chuckled softly at Riku's reaction. She could tell Sora often frustrated Riku, but at the end of the day they were all the best of friends.

"Okay! He'll be wide awake by the time you get back." As Riku hurried off, Sora stood up from the ground. Kairi chuckled a sister she knelt to him, patting the boy's head.

"Goodmorning you lazy bum." When Sora asked about her score, Kairi proudly displayed her phone to him as if it were a trophy.

"It's thanks to you two for helping me so much. " She paused, frowning softly when she noticed Sora return to the shoreline. She followed closely behind him, resting her head gently on Sora's shoulder.

"Yeah." Kairi uttered with a smile. "We're a team now. Together, we're going to change the world... you, me and Riku."

-Ava, Forteller_Vulpes-

Ava sighed softly, watching as the countless lights of the cars drove by far down below. There always had to be something wrong. Things couldn't be perfect.

"I can't believe it's even working for him... I just hope he won't give us too much trouble." The young Wielder looked up to her sister in worry. She just wished Invi could have one day of peace and quiet. "Please don't think about confronting him alone. I should at least be there to support you with my special ability. If he sees both of us there, he might refrain from attacking." She suddenly felt her phone in her phone buzz, causing her to take out the device and look down at it in mild curiosity. Her eyes widened.

"We have another new Wielder. We're gonna have to enter the chat to welcome him when he gets on. The sooner we make friends with new Wielders the better."

--Terra (Earthbound1014)--

Dinner was quickly going from bad to worse.  Terra was almost tempted to pull out the chocolate pudding and declare that they move on to dessert.  This was not the position that Terra preferred to be in; it made him uncomfortable to be stuck between the twins' independence and Aqua's protection.  While Terra also wanted to protect the twins and would be willing to put himself in danger to do so, he also knew his limits and when to be the supportive friend rather than the parental figure.  He could discern that Aqua had a more maternal instinct toward the twins, and perhaps cared for them in ways that he couldn't wholly grasp.

He placed a hand on Aqua's shoulder, his expression firm and serious.  "We will do what we can to protect them, but we can't stop them," he emphasized.  "They're teens now; we can't shelter them from the world forever.  This decision has to be their own."

After a moment's pause as Terra drew a long sip of water from his glass, he set it down and folded his hands, watching Roxas.  "Do you feel that you can train him?"

{Lea-AxelFury}

"Gotcha." Lea called back, fishing two Mountain Dew cans from the fridge.

He kicked the door close as Isa asked about clean silverware.

"You are in luck, I was forced to do the dishes last night." He answered as he walked a little further into the kitchen to pull open the silverware drawer and pull out two sets of fork and knife. They were mismatched due to mainly getting his dishes and silverware from thrift stores, but he did actually clean then when he washed up. With silverware and drinks in hand, Lea went back into his living room.

"Maybe, but you also have a much nicer place then I do." He pointed out, trying to cheer his friend up. "And you don't have to deal with a crabby landlady."

He put a can and silverware set near Isa before pulling over a chair and sitting down to set up his own place.

"So, who's the upstart wielded daring to depose your bid for power?" Lea asked jovially.

He reached for the food, then paused.

"Did you get napkins?" He asked. "If not, I've got some paper towels."

{Riku-DawnPath383}

Riku waved at Sora as he jogged away to grab a bite to eat. Luckily, the hot dog stand wasn't too far and the man wasn't in a chatty mood. Ordering two hot dogs, Riku settled back to wait with his phone. He noticed an announcement that there was a new member of the Union. How many was that now? If it wasn't for the Foretellers, all the wielders would be tripping over themselves to get Lux. While Riku didn't care about the Lux and just wanted to help people, so found the territory idea a bit annoying, he understood it was necessary for some of the more competitive players.

After a short wait, Riku got his hot dogs and paid for them with the rest of his last paycheck. He was going to get paid soon, so he wasn't too worried about that being the last of his current cash. He tramped off, chewing on one of his hot dogs. Once he was out of sight, he reactivated his avatar from his phone. He was about done with his first hot dog by the time he returned to Sora and Kairi.

"So, what's the plan?" Riku asked before starting on his second hot dog.

{Invi-Foretellers_Anguis}

Invi nodded her agreement of not confronting TheMaskedBoy alone. While she was confident she could take him, it was better to remove any temptation to try violence. Invi's phone buzzed too with the announcement of ShatteredBlade's joining the Union, though she didn't look at it until after Ava had mentioned it.

"ShatteredBlade." Invi read aloud. "At least he went with a good name. Yeah, let's go greet him, then we can worry about TheMaskedBoy."

Braig(Freeshooter02)

"Jeez. I need some food." Braig tossed his jacket over the hook in the foyer. It had been a long day at work and he was hungry. He opened the fridge. "Man, when was the last time I cooked?" He thought to himself. He really didn't want to cook tonight, but then again, he never wanted to cook. It would then stand to reason that the leftovers he was so desperately searching for were MIA. He grumbled under his breath as he put on a pot of water. "Pasta it is."

He sat down at the island and flicked through his phone. His thumb instinctively went to Warriors of Light. "Let's see.....Leaderboards...Top 10......ah dammit! Edged out again! Whoever Darkness13 is, he better hope I never find him" 11th place for the second week in a row since the mysterious new user came online. It made him mad. He hated to lose. It made him so mad in fact, that he forgot he had water boiling.

A loud "HISSSS" could be heard as water flowed out from the rim of the pot and onto the burners. "Shoot!" Braig ran to the stove and shut off the burner. The water backed down safely into the pot, still boiling. He grabbed the bag of tortellini and decided how much to put in. He was only feeding himself tonight, but then again if he made the whole bag he could have the rest for leftovers. "Whole dang thing it is," he said as he poured it into the water. He put the lid back on and turned the heat on medium. Set the timer for 12 minutes and went back to his phone. "Gotta get that boi out of my spot." The 'spot' he was referring to was whatever was the next rank up from where he was.

He thought back to the day he became a wielder. "Hello, Kupo! Freeshooter02, you have been chosen to receive your very own keyblade, Kupo! You could then earn lux fighting baddies in real life, and climb an all new, much stronger leaderboard! Just click yes or no, Kupo!" Braig was sold at "Stronger leaderboard". He hit yes without a moment's hesitation, and suddenly a black robe flapped on over his work shirt, and he got an eyepatch. It occurred to him that he must look just like his avatar. Then he remembered the "Real Keyblade" bit. He held out his palm, and for a few moments, nothing happened. Then, his keyblade of choice, the End of Pain, flashed to life in his palm. "Oh snap! Dope!"

The timer beeped, and suddenly he lost his focus.

After dinner, he showered and changed. He still wasn't top on the leaderboards, so he needed to get to work. As he crossed the threshold out of his house, the robe was suddenly on, and the eyepatch was on. "Ah, jeez. I'll never get used to that."

Young Nort(Darkness13)

Nort stared blankly at his phone screen. There was little reason to play Warriors of Light with only a digital keyblade anymore. He didn't want his friends to get suspicious, however, so when they got together and started to play, he made it look like he was playing along. They were confused as to why his lux didn't go up as theirs did, but it had always increased drastically by the next time they hung out so they wrote it off as a slow server thing.

"Hey. Hey, Nort!" Nort had been sitting in an armchair at his friend's house, unmoving and quiet for longer than he had realized. "Jeez man, you'd think you didn't even care about Warriors, they way you just sit there." "Come on. you know the lux rankings mean nothing to me. I just play because you all play." Nort retorted coolly(in much the same way Speedwagon withdraws). He looked up to his friends who were all gathering lux and laughing jovially. Surprisingly, he valued these people. Not in the way a decent person would, but only because he knows his life would be quite lonely with no friends, so he kept a few around to be a well-rounded person.

The pizza his friends ordered arrived, so Nort grabbed a piece. He munched on it while his friends talked about school. "Hey Nort, how do you think you did on the test?" "Fine." One of his friends sighed "That's our Nort, talkative as always." Nort looked up, no agitation visible on his face. "I was told that my comments aren't always appreciated. I've been keeping them." His friends chuckled. They knew he wasn't being sarcastic, someone must have said that to him, and he took it to heart. They went back to talking about normal stuff, and Nort went back to being quiet. Soon enough he decided it was time to go. He said his goodbyes and walked down the street. He checked out the wielders chatroom and noticed there was a number going out to fight some heartless. He decided to go check it out. He could use some practice.

~Sora(Reconnect)~

Sora being this close to Kairi was always a treat- but it was also confusing. He didn't understand really what they were; friends? Partners? Who knew? Still, Sora found himself relaxed at the mere contact between his shoulder and Kairi's head. Riku reapproached, posing a question to which Sora would find an answer.

"Alright, so, the creatures have been appearing here more than usual. I think that may mean a real baddy is going to show up soon. I don't know if that's tonight, or tomorrow, or whenever, but the creatures almost always gather when a bigger fish shows up. Should we take out these creatures until the big guy shows, or should we do a regular town patrol?"

~Ventus(ShatteredBlade)~

Initially in shock, Ventus was finding himself more and more relaxed with his situation. I'm a Keyblade Wielder... The idea grew from surprise to joy. Being able to help others while using sick abilities? Who would hate that? Who could?

"Wait... Dorky? I think this looks great!" Ven reacting to Roxas' insult first as always. "Roxas can train me. I know this is a huge switch on my part, but now that it's already done, there's nothing you guys can do. Besides, helping people... is still our job, right? What exactly are we protecting them from here in the real world?"

-Aqua/MasterAqua-

Aqua's face fell as he watched Ventus marvel at his transformation. He looked so happy, Aqua couldn't be mad at his bright smile. When Aqua first accepted the offer, she felt so free. She'd be a hypocrite if she stopped Ventus from experiencing that freedom. She just couldn't bare to see him get hurt.

"I..." She paused in her words, trying to think of what to say. Terra's reasoning did comfort her. With a small sigh, she looked to her lifelong friend with a smile.

"I... Alright... it's too late to say no anyway. Roxas, you better keep a close eye on your brother. And I want you both to let me know in the chatroom where you are and what you're doing, you hear me? And if something bad happens, call us right away." She sighed softly, seeing Roxas grow immediately aggravated at her words. Ventus had questions, which weren't shocking.

"Ven..." Aqua began, face growing serious. "There are a lot of bad people in this world. They will do terrible things, things you can't even think of. We fight those people, criminals all over the city to make sure that they never hurt anyone ever again. If they catch you, they will hurt you."

-Roxas/NumberXIII-

Roxas groaned in aggravation. Already Aqua was up their backs about protecting them. He hated being treated like a little kid. He proved himself in the rankings, he can take care of himself. When Terra asked about his ability to train Ventus, Roxas nodded with a grin.

"Yeah, I can train him. I'll show him all the ropes. Plus, I got Axel to help me. We'll turn Ventus into a pro in no time." He placed his arms behind his head, determination written all over his face. When Ventus began asking questions, Roxas glanced over to his brother.

"There's also another thing, but I'll tell you about it later." Roxas uttered so Aqua wouldn't hear. If she realized the rumors about the Unversed were true, then she really wouldn't let them out of her sight. "Enough talking, I want to get on the road already." With a mighty stretch and a big grin, Roxas took out his phone. With just a few simple swipes and a greeting from the moogle, a bright light engulfed Roxas. Not a second later he was clad in a dark cloak along with dark accents and claws to boot. He was XIII.

"See now this is a cool outfit." Roxas muttered proudly, chuckling as Aqua facepalmed.

-Kairi/PrincessofHeartHikari-

Kairi chuckled softly as she watched the shore. She wished she could be frozen in such a moment forever, with her, Sora and Riku. The moment was cut off however when Riku arrived and asked what they should do.

"W-Wait Sora..." Kairi said with a frown, placing her hand on his shoulder. "Aren't those things from that MaskedBoy? Won't he be mad if we go around messing with him in his district. You guys told me he was a big jerk."

-Ava/Foreteller_Vulpes-

Ava nodded at Invi's response. Sounds like a plan. She just hoped Vanitas wouldn't cause that much trouble in the meantime. Not only that, there were Freeshooter and Darkness13 to worry about too.

"Okay." Ava said with a smile, logging onto the Keyblade Wielder chatroom. Her little avatar popped up in the phone, looking around to see who was logged on. "He's not in the chatroom. I'm going to send a message." With that, she sent a private message to ShatteredBlade, hoping to make some friendly contact.

"Hello, ShatteredBlade. I am Foreteller_Vulpes. My partner and I, Foreteller_Anguis foresee all the new arrivals and offer guidance for them. If you're not too busy, we would like to meet you formally in the chatroom and develop a friendly relationship with one another.

May your heart be your guiding key,

-Foreteller_Vulpes."

After pressing send, Ava sighed softly and looked up to her sister. "I'm worried the MaskedBoy is going to cause trouble in the meantime. I've noticed he has been releasing his creatures and gathering Lux closer and closer to the borders of his District. If anyone finds him loitering in their district, that may start a fight."

-Vanitas/TheMaskedBoy27-

Vanitas grinned to himself as he perched himself into a tree, watching as his Flood Unversed terrorize a teenage girl. As they pushed her around and seem to go in for a final hit, he jumped down and attacked, causing all of the Unversed to dissapear into darkness.

"I thought girls your age had a curfew, sweetheart." The masked man said with a grin.

The young girl shivered as she sat on the ground, tears on her cheeks and hair this way and that. She slowly got up, some blood trickling down from a scrape on her knee.

"Y-You saved me...! T-Thank you..." she whimpered, rubbing her eyes. "I don't know how to repay you... I was just walking home from fashion club when those things attacked me!"

Vanitas just stood there, backed turned against her.

"I mean, if you really want to thank me, some money couldn't hurt. After all, I could've just left you there to let those things have a nice snack."

The girl shivered, quickly searching her bookbag in fear. A second later she took out a twenty dollar bill as well as a ten dollar bill and showed it to her 'savior.'

"T-This is my lunch money for the w-week... and my allowance. Please take it." She didn't even have to finish her sentance; as soon as she pulled the cash out, Vanitas simply grabbed it and scaled up the building. He bid her farewell with a chuckle.

"Nice knowing your, sweetheart." Vanitas utters with a chuckle, snapping his fingers. The girl wobbled where she stood, feeling her memories of the event grow fuzzy. It felt like a scary dream.

Later on, Vanitas sat on a building nearby where he left the girl, idyly counting his money for the week. With a small chuckle, he decided to shoot Freeshooter and Darkness13 a message.

"Yo, I was wondering if I could let some of my Unversed out in your district Freeshooter. We could spit the Lux. I also added Darkness in this message because I'm bored as hell."

Braig(Freeshooter02)

Braig climbed the stairwell of an abandoned building in his district. He liked this particular building because it provided a great vantage point for the streets and rooftops in the area, and he had mapped out a good free running route for Lux grinding. He looked out over the city, or his slice of it, anyway, and noticed a somewhat large pack of heartless on a nearby highrise. He flipped the eyepatch down over his left eye as he approached the edge of the building. His vision really was limited by it, but it just looked so cool. He could just take it off if he really needed to anyway.

He approached the edge of the building and took survey. The highrise with the enemies was not a part of his normal route, but it looked like he could get there by just taking a small detour. The roofs along that particular street happened to be fine enough heights and in the right order that he could make the jumps. As he leaped off, the End of Pain became material in his hand instantaneously. He landed and rolled onto the next rooftop, and the next and the next until he came across the pack of heartless.

He was still getting warmed up, so he called out to no one in particular “What’re you, scared?” The heartless just sorta twitched and skittered around, paying him no mind. Braig sighed. In the blink of an eye, he dashed up to the enemies and slashed wildly. The heartless took notice now, but it was far too late. They all burst into clouds of black smoke until fading off, offering Braig his first lux of the night. “That’s what I thought,” he said, stroking his own ego.

His phone buzzed in his pocket. He flipped the eyepatch up so he could read and pulled it out. “TheMaskedBoy27? Oh, that's right, that guy.” He opened the message. “Darkness13? THAT SON OF A” he exclaimed quite loudly. After he calmed down, he mulled over the thought of letting the masked boy come hunt in his district. He didn’t want the EITHER of them getting any lux if he could help it, especially not Darkness. But, it would increase his Lux, and he could get a read on some of the others. It seemed to him that as long as he was getting lux too, it would come out in the wash on the boards, and meeting the other wielders might make his life easier in the future. “Yeah okay. As long as we’re splitting ALL the Lux. Darkness, you can come too if you want.”

Nort(Darkness13)

Nort pulled his keyblade back after popping a heartless. He had defeated a reasonable heartless that evening, he considered going home for the night. He decided he could use some sleep, so he let his avatar clothes fade back into his street clothes and his keyblade disapparated. He walked along at a decent place back to his apartment, going through the list of things he’d have to do the next day. As he thought, his phone buzzed. He checked his messages.

He decided to accept the offer and head to Freeshooter02s district and find out what these ‘unversed’ were. His attire came back, but he left the keyblade wherever the keyblades stayed when not in use. He replied with a simple “I'll be there and then made his way to Braigs district.

When he arrived, he could hear Braig fighting heartless on the rooftops. He posted up against a pole and waited to either come across the masked boy, or for Braig to notice him, whichever came first.

Dialogue

Braig noticed a young gray-haired boy standing on the street below with the same robe with him as he dispatched another heartless. He called out to him “Hey, who are you?”

No response. He went down to the street through a fire escape and confronted him. “Who are you?”

“I’m Darkness13.”

This caught Braig’s attention, but he tried not to show it. “Oh okay. TheLegend27 the masked boy not with you?”

“No, he is not.”

“Alright, well then, I'm gonna go back to grinding. Find me when he gets here.”

“Fine.”
