[Spoiler?] Kairi's english voice

I was expecting Hayden, but it was dio Alyson, which I thought would be disappointed when I found out. But to my surprise, she actually sounds way better as KH2 Kairi than as Xion or KH1 Kairi. I kind of miss the ..tomboyish twang? that Hayden gave her voice, and when she says ''Lea'' it seems Alyson is trying to imitate it. I really like it, but at the same time it doesn't feel the same. 

 

It would be nice if Hayden returned, but if this is going to be Kairi's voice from now on I don't mind it. I feel Alyson has improved.

It's kinda odd that they keep randomly switching actors back and forth.

 

They did the exact same thing with Xion in Dream Drop Distance.

It was very bad. When she yelled WHATTT!?! I wanted to throw my controller at her.

 

I really hope Hayden returns in future KH-Games.

I am sure Alyson was brought in as a filler. Hayden will probably be back for KH3.

I would love it if Hayden returned for KH3, at the current, she's 27 years old. You want her to spend what long time she has left waiting to reprise her role?

Hayden coming back is a possibility, I never said it isn't, it's just that Alyson taking over is also a possibility to consider. Like !4misettie said, they keep switching the actors around. We probably won't know what they decide to go with until KH3 actually comes out.

I don't think it was that bad, but I do prefer Hayden. 

 

As for the ''WHATTT!?''.  I saw the Japanese version of that scene, so It didn't bother me as much as it would have if I hadn't. She does the ''EEEEHHH??'' thing which Square Enix really needs to stop making them doing. 

 

''What'' is the best equivalent we have in English, and Alyson would have had to try and match the confused tone

I think they chose Alyson because it was only a few lines or maybe Hayden was unavailable. They did the same thing in re:chain of memories during Riku's side. She probably also does it for a cheaper cost. But I could be wrong. I don't mind her filling in but she just doesn't fit Kairi for me.

I definitely like Hayden as Kairi and Alyson as Xion. It doesn't feel right being any other way.

She has a couple of weird lines in that scene, but those are directing issues. Her voice suits Kairi a bit more than Hayden does right now. Hayden's voice is just too deep. Alyson Stoner has gotten leagues better ever since Young Justice.

There's always a chance Hayden will voice Kairi in KH3, since she and Alyson seem to have this back and forth pattern of who voices Kairi, and Hayden typically tends to voice Kairi in the numbered titles...and Birth By Sleep's secret ending. Point is, this was a smaller role, she's likely waiting for a fuller role to in KH3 to make sure it's worth the time and money. Alyson did a decent job though, I hardly knew it was her the whole time. But yeah, it definitely would be awesome to have her back as Kairi in KH3.
