The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted January 10, 2017 Localisation is easier, and it's quicker to get the game out. Not to mention these people grew up in Japan so why not give back to their home country? 1 Cloud87 reacted to this
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted January 10, 2017 The game was probably written in Japanese, and translating takes time to complete. Plus it's a whole lot easier to get stuff to a place that's close by than to a place that's on the other side of an ocean. 4 The 13th Kenpachi, Cloud87, Sendou Aichi and 1 other reacted to this
Cloud87 24 Posted January 10, 2017 To be honest i really don't know my only 2 best guess are the game was probably written in Japanese, and translating takes time to complete & these people grew up in Japan so why not give back to their home country & in a way i kinda agree with The 13th Kenpachi when he said in some cases that Localisation is easier, and it's quicker for them to get the game out & most of all if they're satisfied and want to spread the game around the world & of course if it's accetble in some countries. Then like i said the game was probably written in Japanese, and translating takes time to complete & some games takes longer then others to translate the game all i like to say is be patient with them though since some games takes long to translate and some games don't take long to translate depends on the game & of course depends on how much they want to or willing to translate i hope this in some way helps to answer your question . Shulk 8,623 Posted January 10, 2017 As others said, it's because the games that come out sooner in Japan were made in Japan. They don't need any extra steps in the development process, once it's finished it can release. For other countries, there's a long process of localization. They need to translate the text, but just sticking it through a translator isn't enough since rough translations can sound weird in other languages. They usually need to rewrite lines to match with lip movements or so they flow more smoothly. Add in the need for additional voice clips and localization can take a lot of time. For games that get worldwide releases on the same day, they do the localization alongside the development of the game. I don't really know much about how that process goes, or why more games don't adopt that development strategy, but most games begin the localization process when the game's closer to being finished. 1 Cloud87 reacted to this

Can i just say 2 things 1 i love your pics & your sig pic(no homo) & 2 i have to say i completely agreed with everything you just said + some games gets worldwide releases treatments & some games don't get worldwide releases treatment it depends on the game(s)if they want to or don't want to do it if you know what i mean . Thanks! Yeah, it seems like it's something that's still just in early stages. I might be forgetting something, but I think that Pokemon X/Y was the first major game to release around the world at the same time. I thought more would follow after that, but it seems like most games are still sticking to their native region first, then everywhere else later. Hopefully it becomes a more widespread strategy in the future. 1 Cloud87 reacted to this
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted January 10, 2017 Because they make them there first.
Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Because they make it, have the right to, and sometimes, sales in Japan cover localization costs. Same thing happens with American stuff (Shantae, RWBY). Edited January 10, 2017 by Clouded Sun 1 Cloud87 reacted to this
Lolington gamer 1 Posted January 11, 2017 Yea, I know it is made there first and all. But translations could be added as part of their main development. With modern transport. It wont take months for the game to reach another country. The only reason I care about the dates is because of potential spoilers Thank you all as well! It's not a bad question in hindsight. If a game has a budget and international loyalty, they should automatically consider releasing games at the same time in different regions. It's just stupid and old school at this point, especially if they've announced localization prior to release.

I think for spoilers sakes it should be changed. I mean for some reason NA gets the 1.5+2.5 bundle 4 days earlier than eu. Which dosen't bother me, but what did was the fact Japan gets it on the 9th!
