Nomura stated that Aqua will not be saved in 0.2 BBS but in KH3

Why would she be saved? This misconception is everywhere, Mickey telling Yen Sid about how he met Aqua in the ROD happens after DDD but the flashback aka 0.2 takes place whilst he's wandering the ROD during KH1. The last time you see Aqua chronologically is during blank points.

Yeah, I have no idea why so many people are thinking that. There is a lot of people thinking Sora's secret has to do with Aqua and it's like... It's way more likely it has to do with his Dream Eaters, since he went to see them. And he doesn't actually know anything about Aqua besides remembering he met her once.

Exactly and correct me if I'm wrong but Sora doesn't even know Aqua is in the realm of darkness for a start because he doesn't stick around for Mickey's story.

im in agreement that she wont be saved during 0.2, but I understand people theorizing that she might.  It is a flashback to an earlier time, but time flows differently in the realm of darkness and we dont really know how much time is going to elapse after her and mickey are separated.  Sora could very well find her on Destiny Islands in 0.2, we just dont know.

 

Also, I think when Sora said he had a surprise, its not exactly a surprise for Donald and Goofy and co, but more for us so they dont let too much out

I think the surprise is that he can now do Keyblade transformations through training more in the realm of sleep.

Don't make any assumptions like that because Mickey will explain in full to Riku and Kairi about Aqua and her friends in 0.2. If they are going to learn, don't assume Sora won't.

People are saying she'll be safed on account of footage/screenshots that shows 1. Sora holding the Master's Defender 2. Sora reaching for Aqua's hand through the water 3. The fact that the Dark Margin and Destiny Island can connect to each other in some ways.

 

But despite this "evidence" that they're using, they seem to have forgot that Sora did not go to Destiny Islands at the end of 3D (at least it's not confirmed). He went to the Realm of Sleep, to see his Dream Eaters. So for what we know, that could be his "secret". A bit underwhelming, but that's what we know. There was no reason nor indication that Sora was heading towards Destiny Islands, so he's probably heading back to Yen Sid's Tower after he's done thanking his Dream Eaters.

 

Besides, it would be better for KH3 if it had a mission where Sora (or Riku) saved Aqua. Save the heavy story related content for that game is what I say.

Yeah, all the heavy stuff will happen in Kingdom Hearts III, as Aqua will probably still be in the Realm Of Darkness in 0.2! Sora fitting into this is probably right when Mickey finishes telling the story of how he met Aqua! That's when Sora comes into play, and that's when Kingdom Hearts III would kick off!
