I don't think they're the same briefcase.

 

1. The one Luxu (I think it's Luxu from the Keyblade) has looks bigger than Riku's.
2. Luxu is dragging the box while Riku is putting it over his shoulder, so unless Riku's giving Lexaeus a run for his munny...
3. Riku's briefcase doesn't have those lock... uhm, things on the side/s.

I don't think they are the same either but something is definitely going off with the cases to connect them to be in both games.

I agree. It's definitely interesting to show us one case to another. There might be some form of connection or parallels between them.
