Hey all.

Just a quick query I've been thinking about for a while now, curious to know what everyone else's view on it is.

When the remasters for PS3 were first announced, I was super excited about it (as many of you were as well, I'm sure). I never had a chance to play the Final Mix versions, plus the addition of trophies was very appealing (bit of a trophy addict) so it was a definite purchase for me.

So, when I saw that they were being bundled together again and made for the PS4, I wasn't too sure what to think. On one hand, Kingdom Hearts is my favourite game series (hell, it's just one of my favourite things ever) and the collector in me says it's a no-brainer that I should get it so there's not something missing from my collection (which would bother the ol' mild OCD). On the other hand, the attempting-adult in me says that I don't want to waste my money for what is essentially the exact same thing that I've already got.

To be honest, I'll probably cave in and get it anyway. That and 2.8 are what I'll be needing for the final waiting period for KH3.

Would be good to hear other's thoughts on the matter!

Thanks  :)

I think 1.5+2.5 is necessary for 2 reasons:

1) It puts all the games so far on one console for easy access.

2) It will (hopefully) fix the issues the PS3 ports have.

Peace!

I think it depends on who you ask. For me personally, this is totally worth getting, as I never had a PS3 to play the initial releases of these two collections. For others, maybe not so much, since like you said it's really just the same thing they already have.

I think that the plus side to getting the collection though, is having the games all on one console, along with 2.8, and KH III.

Well, in the end, the choice is up to you, but if you want my opinion, I'd totally get the ReMixes for PS4! I already have em for PS3, but I want to get them for my PS4 to have the entire Xehanort Saga on PS4! That's an exciting prospect! X_X

But yeah, in the end, you decide!

I'd say go for it unless you really want to save money. It might mostly be the same, but there's still supposed to be some significant improvements with how the games play, so I'd say it be worth it to have everything on one disk and running a lot more smoothly, especially since for all we know they might sneak a few tiny new things in there.

i know i'll be getting them just to have all the games on one system. plus dat 60fps

if you already own the games on PS3 and are on the fence about buying the PS4 versions then just go ahead and wait a bit. you might be able to pick them up cheaper a little ways down the road. as of right now SE haven't mentioned anything about a special edition of the collection so there's no reason to stress over when to buy it.

I was also surprised to hear about both collections re-releasing on PS4.  Knowing me, I will most definitely be getting the games (again).  Higher resolution, and 60 FPS, make 1.5 + 2.5 sound like a real winner to me.
