So the latest Ultimania books in Japan have revealed some interesting information. Character ages for Cor, Aranea and Iris have been revealed and they are 45, 30 and 15 respectivly. It has also been noted that these three will be playable in the Comrades DLC. Luna has a planned appearance, but nothing has been confirmed for her yet. They would like to do it though. We are also introduced to Prompto's biological father.

Also, the games ending was left vague on purpose

Haha, well, a good villain makes us rage and pull our hair out, so I say that Ardyn antagonized us in style! And wow, 109 hours!? That's impressive! :O

Well thanks man and im at 134 currently doing post game. The bulk of the game is definetly sidequests and hunts. I was satisfied with the story. But...13 had more depth as a whole. Love everything abkut 15. So i am waiting in anticipation for the additional scenes god mode and the 3 episodes we been promised

Personally I hated Ardyn. I found him to be extremely despicable and far too overconfident. A lot of the stuff he done was just to taunt you and he gave Noctis and his friends far too much freedom. More than any normal villian would. Like he actually wanted to de defeated. Plus we barely had any of his backstory so we don't know why he was so angry all the time.

You're welcome, bro! Oh wow, 134! That's epic!  And yeah, I figured as much. There's lots of sidequests and hunts to keep us occupied, which is what extends the game's play time, ya know?  And well, let's hope that XV's DLC story bits help flesh out certain details of the story, ya know? :)

Yeah, but still, I thought that Ardyn was fantastic! He definitely was crucified as a daemon, even after having saved his people from a daemon plague! I wish we could have had more screen time for him, ya know? Cuz he was a fantastically stylish villain! :3

I kind of read that his helping Noctis along had two end goals. The first is that he wants to 1v1 Noctis at his full strength so he could actually get some satisfaction out of his revenge, and second, even if he lost as a result, he got to die, given that he doesn't seem overly fond of being immortal in the first place.

Also, I loved his constant trolling. It actually gave him an antagonistic relationship to Noctis specifically rather than just being the big bad that needed to be defeated.

Agree to disagree

You two like him, I hate him, each of us for different reasons. Nothing wrong with that.

I really want to, but don't know how.

okyou must complete optional dungeons crestholm channels balouve mines daurell cavern and costlemark tower which you must be post game to acsess the bosses in these dungeons. After that a side quest will pop up in medacio hunter hq were a woman gives you a key to unlock all 8 seals all bosses are pretty challenging but doable especially with the bow of the clever and ignis' overwhelm technique. They range between lv 55-99

You basically summed up why I love him so much

That and how casual he appears and behave compared to other villains who either has ridiculous outfits (Kuja being the most ludicrous of the bunch) or just generic "mwahahah I'm plotting to kill you from off screen" type of villain

He's probably my favorite Square Enix villain ever

well my favorite villian still has to be caius ballad. Not only due to the fact hes voiced by the godly liam o brien but his plans were beleivable and understood. He wanted to destroy the flow of time because the young girl he cared for was doomed to die again and again. He was a villian to some rightous to others

So, Tabata recently said talked about the ending...and I wanted to give my take on it.

Tabata said the ending was left vague intentionally and that it was open to interpretation. Heavy spoilers ahead,,,obviously. As some of you know, Noctis has to give up his life by the end of the game to purge the daemons and kill Ardyn, but then at the very end, when the sun rises again after 10 years of absence, we see Noctis sitting on the Lucian throne with Luna and they get married and rest together. Many people believe that this is Noctis' final fantasy, or that it's what happens in the afterlife but I think there is something awfully weird about that scene: Everything is still destroyed...Insomnia is in ruins, there's a giant hole in the throne room. The room is exactly the same as they left it. If it was the afterlife or Noctis' final fantasy...wouldn't everything be clean and pretty instead of the mess that was there. I also think that if it was Noctis' final fantasy or the afterlife...well Regis would be there. Why is he voicing the scene over, as if it was his spirit talking to them. I believe that Luna and Noctis came back as Astrals or whatever. Not humans. Why? Well first of all there's the thing about the world being destroyed...then there's also the fact that right before we see Noctis and Luna, we see Umbra. We know that Umbra is a dog with special powers but we don't know the extent of his powers. We know that he was able to bring Noctis to the past...perhaps he can bring him back from the dead? Or maybe it was Regis? Just a theory. I believe Umbra's presence in that final scene was significant. Also, I believe the lyrics of Somnus were a hint towards that, that's kind of touchy though since Somnus is from the Versus days and might've been a reference to a completely different story. Still, if they kept the song in the game to this day, it's probably because it still has a certain significance. maybe. So the lyrics talk about a sleeping god...his children start a fire that they can't seem to stop it, as a result, he can't wake up. By the end, everyone is desperate because of a night, a darkness that never ends, but when the dawn rises, so does the god. Now, as I said, I believe Noctis came back as an Astral (because of the particles that surround him [crystal particules] and the ones that surround Luna [blue feathers] when they come back, there is something of the supernatural that's linked to those as proven by the scene where Noctis sees Luna after her death...it's poor evidence, but it is what it is). He rose with the dawn and now he rests, sleeps forever with Luna (just like in the song). I believe the song might be the Lucian prophecy about the King of Kings (a title often given to God in christianity) who brings back the light to save the world and about Bahamut. So Bahamut sleeps within the crystal, his children (either refering to Ifrit, a less powerful astral, or to mankind) start a fire (refering to the on-going war or the starscourge) and they can't seem to extinguish it (no one can stop the starscourge, or the war aside from Noctis). Now Noctis, the True King, goes to sleep within the crystal (just like in the song again), the darkness comes (the starscourge), the night never ends and everyone becomes desperate. Within the crystal, Noctis meets Bahamut (the sleeping god) and later on, when Noctis awakes, he is the one that summons Bahamut from te crystal, so he is the dawn that awakes the god. And then when the actual dawn rises, after Noctis' death, Noctis awakes the next morning...It's kinda weird but in my interpretation, the song is the story of both Noctis and Bahamut...anyway. All of this stems from the fact that it's just weird for Insomnia to be in a state of destruction in the final scene and that is why I believe it is the REAL Insomnia and Noctis and Luna are alive...It's open to interpretation and I WANT Noctis to be alive, so he is alive in my interpretation. Same for the guys, I don't believe they died in that final scene. I think there presence in that scene where Noctis fights Ardyn was just a "My friends are my power" type of sequence. Yeah, that's my take on the ending :) It's a happy one

Interesting, but that would leave a bunch of plot holes too. Sure, Gentiana could transform into a human form and then back to her Astral form. But she was established as a Goddess (the Glacian) already. In addition, she has her eyes closed most of the time, and when they're open, there are stars. Noctis and Luna didn't have stars in their eyes (I connected the stars to Gentiana's Astral origin, but to be fair we haven't seen any other Astrals in human form). Insomnia is still in ruin, but this scene could have occurred right after Noctis has slain Ardyn.

Ardyn mentioned immortality. He also mentions meeting Noctis in the world beyond (the Astral Plane, if that's still what it's called). If Ardyn was immortal, then if he appeared in the Astral Plane, he would eventually be back. Or else there's zero reason for Noctis to call the Kings of Lucis to "kill" him. Noctis could've escaped the Astral Plane... But the thing is, he dissipated after using the Ring of the Lucii.

The problem isn't interpretation. The problem is nothing makes any logical sense, unless there was something substantial in the story.

I know there's not enough proof story wise to make sense of my theory, but as I said, I don't really care lol. I want Noctis to be alive so I just decided he would be alive and tried to build a theory to kinda make sense of it. Maybe they're astrals, maybe not, maybe they're just dead. I don't care, my head won't listen to reason. I will not accept Noctis' death. So I maintain my "interpretation" of the ending. Noctis comes back from the Astral plane, marries Luna, everyone's happy. Yay. I'll just pretend that Eos, or the Kings or whatever pulled some Deus Ex Machina a la FFXIII and brought Noctis back to thank him for his great work. As for his disappearance in the Astral Plane, well he was just being brought back to the real world...lol. It makes no sense, but I want it that way. Tbh, I don't know enough about the Astral Plane to assume anything. Oh and about Noctis being an Astral, Ignis says at some point that with all the power he'd gathered, Noctis was almost like a god on his own...doesn't prove much, but still...I believe there's a way to make sense of my theory. I'll finish the game and think about it some more. (That is why people shouldn't ever leave me with an "open to interpretation" ending lol) Btw, never noticed the stars in Gentiana's eyes, mind sending me a link?

xD won't lie, I love it though. It would make a lot of sense if they added Luna DLC too.
