Recommended Posts

I almost made the biggest mistake of my life over what others have said. I'm anxious and scared. Honestly. IDK what else to do. I'm going to die. rioght? Alcohol is my only escape. I'm scared for the future.

I admit it; I'm an attention whore. I want people to comfort me in my time of need. Is that so wrong. I don't want to die young. I'm scared. Someone pleasehelp me before I kae the biggest mistake of my life

Alcohol is NEVER a good idea. No matter how much you have of it, you'll still be depressed afterwards. Its a substance, you'll only crave more and risk addiction. Focus on fixing your problems at hand. Recognize the situation, and make the best out of it. Life really isn't as bleak as one might think :D. Its all in the mind my friend. Get well soon. You'll be in my prayers.

I am afraid alcohol will not solve your fear, but may increase it. I offer you prayers for your alcohol issue. However, the world will not end because Trump is president. Did the sun come out the day after? I think it did. Did it come up today? I am looking at light so I think that's a yes. The results are what they are and we should give him a fair shake. You will be fine. No one knows what the future brings, but getting scared and drinking does nothing to make it feel better.

Speaking from personal experience, when I went through some very hard times with depression, I drank A LOT. I will tell you this: alcohol will only make you sad and sulky when you are already depressed. At least, that was the case with me. Drinking only made me worse, and it was when I drank that I really just wanted to end it all.

Depression is never easy to overcome. But I was able to look at the bottle I was drinking from, and said to myself, "NO MORE ALCOHOL! I'm going to go out, get some fresh air, and change myself one thought at a time!" It took a while, and I had a friend that I could talk to to help me get through it. Sadly, she and I don't talk anymore, because I became too attached to her. But I managed to stay off alcohol for a solid three months, and have since, only been drinking once or twice a month. That alone really helped me out with my depression. People will say alcohol is poison, which, it certainly can be, and especially is when drinking alone. If you do drink, only do it with friends or family.

Once thing that friend of mine said to me was "Never keep quiet. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?" I don't know if those were the exact words, but it was something like that, and those words have stuck with me. Tell people what you are feeling. Focus on building yourself up, and don't waste time procrastinating on it. Start today! Not tomorrow, not a month from now. If you feel like you need counseling, then find someone good in your area. Depression and anxiety won't be cured overnight, but you can at least get yourself started on fixing yourself.

Here is an interesting article posted on Australian news website NineMSN

Pollsters failed to predict the victory of Republican candidate Donald Trump over rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov 8 presidential election in the US. However, followers of the predictions of the ancient prophet Nostradamus claim he foresaw the billionaire’s poll victory.

Thegamersdrop cites Nostradamus’s writing in Century III, Quatrain 81 that “The great shameless, audacious bawler. He will be elected governor of the army: The boldness of his contention. The bridge broken, the city faint from fear.”

Another passage is that in Century 1, 40, which predicts “The false trumpet concealing madness will cause Byzantium to change its laws. From Egypt there will go forth a man who wants the edict withdrawn, changing money and standards.”

However, the 16th century prophet’s other followers thought it was Clinton who would win because of Century VIII, Quatrain 15’s reference to a “masculine woman.”

But an old blind Bulgarian mystic with an 85 percent accuracy has apparently bad news for Trump because she predicted outgoing US President Barack Obama would be the last US president. Baba Vanga correctly predicted the 44th president of the US would be an African-American, the rise of the Islamic State and 9/11.

Baba Vanga, an old blind Bulgarian mystic with an 85 percent accuracy had predicted outgoing US President Barack Obama would be the last US president. The prediction of Baba Vanga, who died at 85 years old in 1996 and is called the Nostradamus from the Balkans, that Obama would be the last American president has led to end-of-the-world speculations or the possibility of the US changing its political system. Like Baba Vanga, Nostradamus also predicted Obama would be the last US president, Thenortheasttoday notes.

But Trump’s ascent to power – despite his friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin – may not end speculations of a World War III. Gamesdrop cites reports that Trump’s vision for the US includes increasing to 540,000 the number of active duty soldiers and hike the navy’s strength to 350 vessels.

The incoming 45th US president plans to boost the US Air Force jet battalion to 1,200. To combat threats from Iran and North Korea, Trump plans to acquire contemporary destroyers.

The year 2016 is one when many global events would happen, and one of it is World War III which would break out between two major world powers and last for 27 years, followers of Nostradamus’s prediction warn. The prophet wrote: “The moment of great violence will coincide with the appearance of a comet in the sky. Nuclear combat and natural disasters shall strike our planet when a giant planet approaches Earth,” Thenortheasttoday quotes.

As an Australian, my message to this article is
  1. It breeds unnecessary fear and anxiety in the people
  2. In times like these we need to focus on making things right for the people around us instead of blaming administration
  3. Prophecies only come true when we act on it. Many times in history has mankind foolishly carried out fulfillment of predicted prophecies only to call it the 'workings of fate'.

Seek professional help. There have been studies that showed that addictions of any sort haven't helped problems at all. Maybe short-term but that's the maximum. Over time it will grow and become a massive problem. I can't stress it enough. Seek help in any way you can.

Peace!

If you're having any kinds of thoughts of self-harm or feelings of depression, call 1-800-273-8255, the national crisis line. There are people who can help. Please, take care of yourself.

I want to say thank you for everyone who has been here for me so far. But I just have one more thing to ask. I'm not a political person and never was before the election. I believe Trump could do great things for this country. But everyone keeps saying that we're all going to die because of him, world war 3 will begin and what not. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and I just want some honest assurance that I will live to see the next presidential election. Every waking moment is fear of the idea of a nuclear bomb will show up out of no where causing the end of the world or the beginning of WW3. I want to live to see my dream of animation unfold. So please, I just want a promise that everything will be ok...with some evidence if that is possible...

Also, thank you all for being here for me in my time of need.

Also, for those who say I should seek help, I would if I could. But I have little to no money and I need to save money just to get by. I want to see a psychiatrist so badly but nor do I have the time or the money to do so.

People who are saying it will be WW3 and basically the apocalypse is coming and everyone will die are being over dramatic, unreasonable, and immature. I have a few reasons why people are reacting the way they are and I have a response to all the reactions, but I shall not say for it would offend some pretty easily and I have no plans on breaking the forum rules. Only God knows when the Final Judgment is and we don't. Also, we have had elections like these where they were brutal and divisive and yet we still had the peaceful transition of power with the exception of the Civil War (no I am not implying that there will be another one so don't even go there nor assume!). You are worrying about what you cannot control and that's, in all honesty, immature. Evidence everything will be okay you say? Did the sun come up and are you alive? That's evidence enough, wouldn't you say? You can't listen and take as gospel everything everyone says! It does you no good, it's immature, and it wastes your time. You are an enabler of yourself heading into addiction all over again because you decided to take as gospel everyone's drama and personal issues about this election. It's been four days since the election happened. It's time to get over it and move on with life and for God's sake as well as your own to stop worrying.

You're absolutely right. I am immature for thinking this and worrying about it as well. I've always suffered from anxiety and depression just like the 2012 Mayan Calendar doomsday thing. But I should know better. I don't want this to end up like my last 6 years of depression and anxiety from 2009-2012 which only extended to 2015 due to everyone saying that the Mayan calendar was delayed or people saying the the blood moon for 2015 would mean the end. But the only thing I can object is that I really don't know how to not feel anxious for the future, because I'm so unsure of what could or will happen. It makes me feel like everything I do will be worthless in the end. But thank you for being honest. I appreciate that.

Of course. I am someone who is honest and will tell the truth at face value. It isn't to be a jerk, but it's because I care. I want other people to hear what they need, not want, to hear. Also, stop being so negative. Have you forgotten what feeds off of negativity? Hint: it comes from Vanitas. Look at the positive. Besides, no one who has been so dramatic about Trump has even given him a chance. So much for the "open mindedness" and "accepting the results as they are no matter what". Give Trump a chance and pray for his well being and for him to obtain wisdom. He could surpass Reagan for all we know. Another thing though is to get worried and have to have everyone stop what they are doing so you can be tended to is a bit selfish too in all honesty. Get support from loved ones and those closet to you. They know you best.

Well the thing is, it's not that I won't give Trump a chance (I will gladly give him the chance that anyone deserves) but it's more the things people say about him that worry me. I know that (in my opinion) he's a better choice than Hillary. But with everything that's going on the world and how vocal people can be in this modern day of technology I just get a bit worry-some over the things that people say.

As I said, there is no use for you to worry about what other people say. There are people who got hysterical and dramatic for reasons I won't mention here. All you need to be concerned about is your well being and that's it.

All I'm going to say is that you can't let those kinds of worries affect your own day to day life, if at all possible. There's plenty of reasons for concern (people aren't just being dramatists), but in an unstable world, there might always be. The best way to live is to live, and to be thankful that you can.

Well, Mr. Slenderman, as a being who's lived eons upon eons, I can tell you that things have always been in chaos since the universe's inception! True, there are things that make everyone afraid, and heck, Transcendent has his fair share of fears and doubts, but he's not gonna let that stop him from living his life! He's still living, and enjoying each day like a boss! I guess what I'm trying to say here is to not let what's happening to the world affect you personally! I mean, sure, keep mind that the world is constantly changing, and we should always strive to do good for the planet, but don't let bad, negative things cloud your mind, ya know?

As for Mr. Trumpy, he could end up being a bad president, or he could end up being a good president! Even I have no way of knowing how he'll run things! Only God knows what'll happen! I say, keep your chin up, and it'll be okay! And hey, don't resort to liquor! If anything, listen to music, entertain your mind with television shows and whatnot, whatever you humans like to watch! Just know that it'll be okay! Like KingdomHearts3 says, you're still alive, and that's what counts!

Okay, seriously, I'm an interdimensional Dream Demon, not a comforting voice! What the heck is wrong with me! Bill Cipher, your cynical destructive powers are getting rusty...
