The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Here are some comparisons between the PS2, PS3 and PS4 versions of KH1, KH2 and BBS. Kingdom Hearts 2 PS2 PS3 PS4 Version- Not Completed . This is still a PS2 game at the end of the day, there's only so much they can do. Birth By Sleep PS3 PS4 Kingdom Hearts 1 PS2 I couldn't find the exact frame for all three versions, sorry PS3 PS4 Edited October 29, 2016 by Barry Bacon Allen 3 -Justin-, KHUndertaleFan25 and Moochieh32 reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 29, 2016 Hmm, they do seem to be a bit more vibrant and slightly smoother. I mean, there's still the pointy polygon edges, but somehow the edges seem..."less pointy"? It's as good as they can do I guess is what I'm saying. I can't wait to see all four games running on 60 FPS...especially Re:CoM, it always weirded me out when most of the game ran on 30 but then in all of 100 Wood's minigames it jumped up to 60. 1 TheWayToDawn reacted to this

The minigames are less demanding so that's probably why. That's also what happens in cutscenes for some games, in game is 30 and cutscenes jump to 60 or it could be the other way. As long as each of the games looks like they're running at a consistent speed (whether that means 30, 40, 50, or 60 all the way with no delay or drops) I'll be satisfied, I just don't want to get thrown off by the change in movement speed, kind of takes you out of the experience for a second. Like when you go to a Costco and all the TVs are showing programs you've seen before but they're moving much faster than you're used to seeing at home...that always bugged me. But since they're going so far as to tout the 60 fps with all 4 of these games (wait so does that mean the 2 movies will run at 60 as well? How's that going to work?), I'll take their word for it. I doubt the movies will run at 60, it will ruin the lip syncing. That brings up another good point actually, the cutscenes will have to be the same as they were before, whilst gameplay will run at 60. The cutscenes would feel out of place. 40 or 50 wouldn't do that much. I doubt the frame rate will drop either, you've got 3 PS2 games and a PSP game running a console that's at least 15-20 times more powerful. Not to mention that every KH game has loading screens too. It might depend. I mean the cutscenes don't just start out of nowhere, they are usually preceded by a fade to black before they start up, so that might be enough of a buffer to not get thrown off from the jump from 30 minimum to 60 max. Well, except for KH1 maybe, those actually did just start straight away.
Awesome Sauce 634 Posted October 29, 2016 I barely see any differences.
The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted October 29, 2016 I barely see any differences. 2.5 already looks amazing on my Sony Bravia so I little upscale will make no difference to me. What matters to me is that it's running at 60 fps .
Connected 978 Posted October 29, 2016 Think that the first Pic of 2FM is not really Legit. anyway i see a tiny bit of more details and more coloring . Anyway its a early stage. 0.2 Changed a lot in graphics so maybe a bit more improvements later on 1.5+2.5 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
SHAZOW 269 Posted October 29, 2016 Aqua seems to look less blurred on PS4 than PS3 in bbs screenshot. Also it's worth noting some differences in KH 1 in ps4 seems to have better textures for the belts and zippers and colors seem to be slightly different in the pics (in a good way). Guest Posted October 30, 2016 When it comes to HD Remasters, the PS4 is able to make textures look more smoother because of the higher pixel density of the system compared to the PlayStation 3. A couple of games on the PlayStation 3 suffered from a blur in detailed textures (Sega's Resonance of Fate is guilty of that). For comparisons sake to prove my point, here's the difference with Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithfulness on the PS4 compared to the PS3.
TD Twilight 82 Posted October 30, 2016 Birth by sleep will definitely be the biggest noticable gameplay difference. I feel like that game is extra choppy compared to other KH games, so im excited for that

TD Twilight 82 Posted October 31, 2016 The 60fps won't change the floatiness of the combos. ya youre right but i still think it will be a major difference. Even COM i dont think is as choppy as BBS
