Now that 1.5 + 2.5 is coming to PS4, do you think there will be another edition?

Keep in mind this is just speculation, no confirmation or announcement has been given as of this point.

The twitter for Kingdom Hearts says to wait on more info. Do you think they'll announce another limited edition. Maybe another one with just a pin? Or offer a steelbook? If not, I could maybe imagine other info meaning a Pro mode announcement. But I'm moreso hoping its some kind of edition announcement, especially if it includes a steelbook. Thoughts?

The report noted that Sony will require games to feature a "Base Mode" for the original PS4 console and a "Pro Mode" for the PS4 Pro, both of which you'll find in the same release. You'll get the same core play experience on either console, although with the Pro Mode on the new hardware, you'll see enhanced graphics and perhaps other perks as well.

Considering that 1.5+2.5 is coming after the PS4 Pro releases, it will indeed have 4K support. As for the other news, it will probably be further details about the game along with the other editions available.

Don't put your hopes on a steel book though, it may be a pin again.

Thats a given, I was almost sure it would have pro mode anyways since Sony does want that to be mandated for future releases on PS4.

 

As far as the pin goes, I guess your right. I think the only reason why I thought it would be possible is because of the 2.5 Collectors Edition had a really nice looking steelbook commemorating all of its games in nice art. Regardless I'll be looking forward to its release like everyone else.

It should be a Collecter's Edition with a steel book though. It's a great opportunity to put some really cool art on it.

Why do you think they'll re release a game again in the same year? I mean, I get its its 15 year anniversary, hence why I think there is a possibility for 1.5 + 2.5 on ps4 to get some kind of special edition. But re releasing again in the middle of the same year it releases doesn't make sense to me tbh.

I really have no clue what they will do. They could have a bundle where you can get both HD1.5+2.5 and 2.8 and also have some kind of memorabilia for the 15th Anniversary, but I don't know.

I honestly can't see a bundle happening since they are both releasing within 3 months of each other. If they announce anything like that. I would imagine maybe PlayStation Experience having them announce something related to 2.8 and/or 1.5 + 2.5 as it's the only big event before they release those titles.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is being developed by a different team than the one working on the remixes. so it has no effect on KH3.

I'm not sure if there's gonna be another edition, human! I mean, there could be, but there's no guarantee either! We'll have to wait and see!
