Nintendo Switch Partners?!?

Recommended Posts

On the Nintendo website, after you watch the NSwitch trailer you can look at a list of Partners that Nintendo teamed-up with.

What do you think of this information? What are your reactions to the trailer?

I know they usually work with Nintendo anyway, but I'm excited to see what Namco and Capcom will bring to the Switch. They don't have the best business practices, but they make fantastic games.

So odd seeing Sega as a partner and not a competitor. Not used to that.

Looks like a good list though.

They've been partners with Nintendo for quite a while now lol.

I know. It's just weird. xD When I hear the name 'Sega' I always think back to their consoles.

My first thought on seeing the switch was that it looked like something a modern day Sega console would look like. Y'know, if they hadn't fallen so far from their own competency

yeah the color does remind me of a Sega console!

It has that Sega-ish quality doesn't it! But I can't put my finger on what it might be

Definitely. There's just something very Sega-esque about it. It's quite intriguing.

Okay so have looked-up some of the partners that are lined-up for the NS? there are a lot of good companies that are involved with this. just look up Autodesk and Ubitus and you will see what maybe in-store for the NS' future. I like what I see!

FF15 Switch port will happen, and Nintendo are partnered with SE for games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. KH3 won't be on the Switch at release day, it'll have to be ported after the PS4 and Xbox One release. The future games could be on the switch but that's stupid since they would be jumping consoles yet again...

Uh, they've been partners for years, lol. Ever since Sega dropped out of the console race in the early 2000's, Nintendo has been one of Sega's main producers for at least half of their Sonic games. Like Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games is literally impossible without partnering with Nintendo. They stopped being competitors a long time ago, Mario and Sonic are rivals in legacy and reputation only these days.

I don't know, could use a few more round shapes and colors, lol. X)"

Yeah I know. Sega's games really fit Nintendo's themes as well. But what I meant was more along the lines of that Nintendo, Sony, and I guess even Xbox are all around still after all these years, but so is Sega, yet Sega fell so far that they only just do games now. All these companies are still pumping out consoles blowing through the industry in their own ways, and Sega is just...there, supporting all these companies' devices with their games while they're behind in the dust. Something that I find odd getting used to, even after all these years.

I didn't get into gaming until the PS2 came out, and by that point Sega's console business was fading out of existence, and even then I didn't play a Sonic game until 2006 or so, so I'm pretty used to not seeing Sega in the console department anymore. To be honest, it's hard for me to imagine anything beyond the big three, but I have to admit, the gaming world would certainly be a lot more interesting now if Sega was still a hardware manufacturer. If the holy prophesy is fulfilled and Saturn and Neptune align with the Earth and the moon one day and we do end up seeing Sega return to the console battlefield, I would definitely buy their systems and support them, it would be interesting to see.

I never played on a Sega console, but i've always had a respect for their consoles and the games they had. They did help move the game industry forward and shape it to how it is now. It would be really cool if Sega were to try the console market again some day. :) I'd like to see that day.
