KH world tour date deeper meaning?

Recommended Posts

Looking at the dates for the World Tour I noticed that the countries that have two dates listed for example UK, London has dates listed for the 24/25th March which are both on consecutive days. This also goes for Australia, Singapore on the 6th/7th May and France, Paris on 18th/19th March. HOWEVER! Haha.. however, if we look at the dates in LA USA, they are not happening consecutively but on the 10th and 14th June. So why are they not consecutive like the others? Well in LA happening at the same time is E3 2017 from 13-15th June! So it feels like they are holding off for a few days on the tour in LA after the 10th until E3 starts. And if that's the case the question is why? Well with it being the 15th anniversary next year it looks as though big things are going to come out of E3 regarding KH3 ie. the release date, then the orchestra waits until the 14th, instead of the 11th, to concide with this so they can bring out the big bass band for a full on celebration! I feel as though it was dated specifically for that reason. Thoughts?

INB4 everyone blows this out of proportion and starts thinking the release date is confirmed for E3.

(Not aiming anything in this entire post at you SnowPint!) but a lot of fans tend to blow things completely out of the water.

The release date was decided internally but that doesn't mean they knew when they were going to announce it whilst the Orchestra dates were decided.

The Orchestra was announced in late April 2016, the 29th to be exact. E3 2017 is almost an entire year in advance. What I'm saying is, do you think they planned when to announce the release date for KH3- an entire year ahead of the announcement of a concert? Oh and another thing, the article I've linked says WINDOW. Which means either a month or a year.

window-png-22.png

Let me explain, Hajime Tabata said in January during the FF15 ATR that Square Enix company rules dictate that they can only announce a release date when the game is close to being complete.

My argument is hard to follow, but I'll try and be brief-

If they plan to announce the official release date at E3 2017-they know the release date and have an exact day and exact month of when the game will come out-therefore the game must be at a 65-90% done stage which is 'extremely unlikely. If it was E3 2017, then that gives them 6 months-there's no way this game would release in 2018 if the announcement of the release date was at E3 2017, terrible marketing.

Also, the game won't be a 2017 release anymore. Tetsuya Nomura has hinted at it multiple times this year that FF7R will be Square Enix's game of 2017. That game won't come out before E3 so it's clearly going to be a holiday release for 2017 and for Square Enix to release any other game within at least a 3 month period of FF7R Part 1's release is marketing suicide. Nomura will focus on both FF7R and KH3 next year, but it's obvious that FF7R will release in late 2017 with KH3 being a March 2018 release. 2017 will be a year of KH3 promotion.

And for those who will tell me "But KH's 15th anniversary is next year!". Next year is the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7, which was stated to be a 20 year long project. Oh and also, next year is the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy-the 4th highest selling franchise of all time and the franchise that made Square Enix famous. The only important person in Square Enix who cares about Kingdom Hearts is Tetsuya Nomura.

It could just mean that they will have different dates as listed because they couldn't book the 11th-13th for the concert. I mean, I am sure they have some performance or event daily there so they must have had to book the concert on two separate days like that.

Snow, it'd be awesome if we got ourselves a surprise regarding Kingdom Hearts III's release window at next year's E3! I, for one, would be very happy!  And well, Nomura did say that he has something planned for around the time the concert tour starts, so this means that we'll probably get healthy nuggets of info regarding Kingdom Hearts III as we head onto E3! At least, I hope this is the case!  But as Barry mentioned, there's FFVII Remake to worry about, and that game will probably overshadow Kingdom Hearts III, making it difficult for said game to release next year! :(

But still, I dunno, I still hold onto the hope of Kingdom Hearts III coming out late next year! :D

We have no clue what is going to happen, don't make so many assumptions.

Hardly an assumption when everything I've said is based upon facts and evidence from the past. My reasoning is far more logical than the fake expectations that some people in this fanbase create 24/7, where they assume that every gaming event will have a KH3 trailer or that everything Square Enix do is magically tied to Kingdom Hearts. I'm not taking any personal digs at you or any other user, I'm just talking from experience. People on Twitter thought that the Final Fantasy 15 Uncovered event would have a KH3 trailer, people thought that KH3 would have multiple parts, people thought that KH3 would show up at the PlayStation conference (the one where they revealed the Neo). I'd say we have a good idea of what is going to happen, but not many people here follow Square Enix as a whole-they look at the company and just think 'Kingdom Hearts, kingdom hearts, Square Enix is all about Kingdom Hearts!' When in reality there are tons of other games that Square Enix prioritise over Kingdom Hearts.

Yeah, but remember, Final Fantasy VII has been around since 1997, and the love for that game has been going strong ever since then! As such, when the Remake was announced, people went berserk, and even though the remake will be split up in episodes, each episode will still be grand enough to warrant the people's attention. So attention for FFVII Remake would compete too much with Kingdom Hearts III, sadly! :(

But hopefully, as you said, it could be that Kingdom Hearts III shines through the most!  But I'm making sure not to get my hopes up regarding a 2017 release. While it's most likely, I still can't get my hopes up.  Barry helped me to keep my expectations in check, ya know?

But for the sake of all that's good, I really hope next year is the year of Kingdom Hearts III! X_X

You can't say that things are facts, because things change, and once again we don't really know what Square is planning. You also can't say something is not going to happen because you have "facts" that's just as bad as the people who say, "Kingdom Hearts 3 is gonna have a trailer at the FF15 Event" because you both are saying things like it's fact. All we can do as the fans is patiently wait and believe things from the trailers and announcements from Square Enix. You're allowed to HOPE for KH3 in 2017, sure. You're also allowed to believe that KH3 will release in 2018 or later, but you can't go around saying that there's Noooo way that KH3 is going to release in 2017, and you also can't say that KH3 is definitely going to release in 2017. All we can do is wait for trailers and announcements, and of course a release date.

With all due respect, I can say what I like. This discussion should end here.

Glad I could keep the expectations in check xD. I don't want to be a negative nancy Key but it's better safe than sorry ya know? I'm not saying it can't be a 2017 release but I want to try and be realisitc and look at the bigger picture, rather than just believing what I want to believe. Besides, we're getting a lot of news next year anyway so I'm sure that will keep us in check! Plus there's 2.8, Final Fantasy 12 Zodiac Age, FFXV and hopefully FF7R which will all keep us occupied until the game comes out! I doubt it'll be any later than summer 2018 anyway :D

I never said you couldn't say what you felt like saying, in fact I actually said you could do that. I said it's not a good idea to go around and say something like it's FACT. We don't know anything going on at Square Enix.

Yeah, well, we'll see what happens in the long run! I'm sure next year is bound to be one filled with many surprises, ya know?  I'm pretty sure the Kingdom Hearts series will get even more exposure than ever before, especially Kingdom Hearts III! :D
