Ventuslover123 24 Posted October 15, 2016 She only gained her keyblade in KH2, and didn't use it again, probably until she arrives at Yen Sid's in DDD. If learning to master the keyblade takes years, that's mean she would only had been training for days/weeks/months even before the battle approuches 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) Well, Kairi handled herself pretty well in KH2. Yes, they were just shadows, but for someone who wielded a Keyblade for the first time and slaying Shadows instantly, she definitely has potential. As for her training, she can always train with/without Lea in a special place with hastened time with the help of Merlin and the three good fairies, like Lea did in Dream Drop Distance. KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted October 15, 2016 I guess she will have to learn fast, won't she? She is one of the seven and Yen Sid is no moron and knows exactly how to get her up to speed.
PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted October 15, 2016 Sora learned how to wield a Keyblade within like a day. I know he had his toy sword before, but still. That also goes for Roxas and Xion, they weren't experienced at all when they started wielding their Keyblades. It came to them naturally, maybe the same will happen with Kairi. 5 Keyblade101, MythrilMagician, The 13th Kenpachi and 2 others reacted to this
Komali 594 Posted October 15, 2016 Yes, it's too early but she will fight nevertheless. She won't be strong but at least she can fight.
Mahdi Albasri 16 Posted October 15, 2016 no its not really you guys remember that kairi was inside sora in kh1 right? she always watched him fight using his key and she also always watched sora and riku fight in their childhoods with the toy swords so kairi is surely to be strong even when she just got the keyblade
KH4Real 749 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) I think Kairi have experienced enough she will train together with Lea and take later with Ventus the exam. Mayby with a bit luck they can kill some blue balls too. Edited October 15, 2016 by KH4Real

That also goes for Roxas and Xion, they weren't experienced at all when they started wielding their Keyblades. It came to them naturally, maybe the same will happen with Kairi. However I think with Roxas and Xion they instinctively knew how to wield the keyblade because they both came from Sora. They may not have had any memories of Sora at the beginning but their bodies may still have remembered what to do. Plus Roxas has part of Ventus inside him as well. And now that I think of it, maybe part of the reason Sora learned so quickly was because Ven was helping him. Kind of like how Ven protected Sora with his armour in DDD. Mayby with a bit luck they can kill some blue balls too. Wait,,,,if that were to happen...then that would mean they're the new-semi trio. Except that you'll have one Keyblade wielder from the original group-Lea counts now. So... if that happens, who is going to be the Disney ally of the group that you'll encounter or will join. Then again, Sora has that privilege with Donald and Goofy and Riku with Mickey. ...Never mind that last part. They can be like the BbS trio and work things out. palizinhas 102 Posted October 15, 2016 Not really. Sora defeated enemies incredibly powerful soon after he started, with no formal training. She wouldn't be powerful enough to take on most Seekers by herself, but she should be able to fight one of the weakest ones.

Well Sora and Riku need to do it on his own. But it is Yen Sid that makes the exam. It is all up to him. Terra and Aqua did it together. Moochieh32 676 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) I'm hoping we'll get to play an extra part of DDDHD, after completing the game, you can play an added section (like DLC but would come with the game) where you can play as Kairi and train for the Mark of Mastery. Like Riku's story in Re:CoM. The game is quite short already, so why not add more story features with the PS4 now in play? The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted October 16, 2016 Like Master Eraqus mentioned, it's probable that Kairi will probably hone her skills with the Keyblade in the special room that Lea trained in! It actually reminds me of Bleach, because Ichigo trained under Urahara's shop, and time there flowed differently, so while down there it seemed like forever, in the outside world, time flowed normally! So this similar approach was used with Lea, and I'm guessing Kairi would use this special room Yen Sid has as well! So yeah, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing Kairi doing flashy combos in Kingdom Hearts III! It's going to be her time to shine!
RuDoe Ry 139 Posted October 16, 2016 She needs training cause I sure has hell Haven't seen her do anything impressive. Even when she got her Keyblade she got ganged up on and steped on by heartless. At this point she would be getting in sora and Rikus way unless she's been training her a$$ off screen.

PenguinRoxx 286 Posted October 19, 2016 Sora and Riku didn't need to go through any kind of special training but they still fought with a keyblade. I think the same thing could apply to Kairi, she won't need much training to properly wirld a keyblade. The mark of mastery could wait, Yen Sid just needs to train her to be able to put up a good fight during the final confrontation.
