Music Utada's new album

So, Utada's new album, "Fantôme", has just been released. I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Are there any songs on the album you'd like for KH3's theme song? For me, it would be Boukyaku or Ningyo. Of course they would have to be remixed a la "Simple And Clean" for the opening but these songs would be great for the credits. I like 'em. Boukyaku isn't very "Kingdom Hearts" lyrically though...and Utada would probably have to add verses to the song as the rapper's verse would probably be removed because they're very heavy lyrically. Furthermore, I'd be surprised if he could rap in english.

EDIT: I sampled it a second time and now I'm really liking Kouya No Ookami too and Njikan Dake No Vacance...and Michi...so yeah, I don't know what to choose.

Um, why exactly do any of the songs need to sound like they could be in KH3? I don't even remember any confirmation that she'd return to do the opening anyway. (I might've missed something, but I'd like to think that something like that would be significant enough to have heard about regardless of whether or not I check the news page.)

(Even with that being said I'll have to listen to this album soon.)

Think of this. For nearly 15 years, Square/Disney have not been able to distribute Kingdom Hearts digitally because of Utada's vocals. They didn't have the rights because Utada had a falling out with Disney before digital games where a thing. However, Sony now demands *all* PS4 games be available for digital download. 2.8, being a PS4 exclusive, is therefore required to have a digital version, and within that collection, 0.2 has a new mix of Simple and Clean with Utada's vocals. This means that Square now has the rights to distribute Utada's vocals, at least in the case of Simple and Clean Ray of Hope Mix, digitally. The only way this could be achieved is if they got in contact with Utada and her manager, beca use while they can remix the songs they already have to no end, they can not distribute those songs digitally without her permission unless her vocals where removed. That means she is willing to work with them on Kingdom Hearts again, meaning she may very well provide a new song for the next numbered title as she did for the other 2.

I think Jinsei Saikou No Hi is the best choice for KH3 .

 

Edit: I was talking for the opening. They are all not better then Simple and Clean or Sanctuary.

But this song feels also like KH.

I never said they needed to sound like they could be in KH3, I was asking people's general opinion on the album and asking IF they see certain songs fit for KH3.

I know this is a KH website and we all want her to make a song for KH3, but let's just appreciate the music instead of constantly theorising over what could be in KH3.

 

Just enjoy the music , I'm sure she'll make a new song for KH3 when the time comes around.

Hm I have checked the translation of my song doesn't really fit for KH3.

So I will go for Michi aswell the lyrics is perfect.
