KHUX Gauge to multiplier ratio?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone~

Can anyone please estimate gauge to multiplier ratio?

For example, for 1 gauge x1.00=bad, x1.50=decent, x2.00=great.

Or for 3 gauge x2.50=bad, x3.00=decent, x3.50=great.

I understand that the multiplier will vary depending on what the medal can do (single target, aoe, buff, special attack effect...), but an estimate of just single target without buff/effect or aoe without buff/effect would be fine :).

Sorry if I didn't explain well...I hope someone understands what I mean

I kind of get what you mean. But, what is really important of what the medal CAN do. Sure this can have this low cost medal that has a very good or great, or excellent multiplier, even when guilted. But you have to know what skill it has to know if it's really worth it. An example is Pluto. He's a tier two medal that has Esuna. Like, when are you going to use him, if you have other medals that are better or better for a certain quest or it's better have this than that in a situation. Another example would be the healers. There's Jimminy Cricket, Tinker Bell, Daisy, and Queen MInnie. Minnie will always be the best healer medal, because she has Curaga and she costs two gauge like the others. Well, except Illustrated Kairi, but she isn't out yet to the NA version yet.

But, actually, did I even answer the question? I was focusing on what I think you were saying.

No, but thank you for trying :)

I guess the simplest way to say it is, is x multiplier good or bad for x gauge cost.

The reason why I included medal abilities is because usually depending on the type of ability the medal has, the multiplier is higher or lower. For example medals with special attack effects (status effect=more damage, higher hp=more damage, skills used in succession=more damage, etc) usually have higher multiplier if their special attack condition is met, or medals that grant strength buffs usually have lower multipliers.

I noticed that single target and aoe medals without buffs or special attack effects have multipliers that are inbetween the ones with buffs and special attack effects, so if I knew the estimate of gauge~multiplier for single target and aoe I would be able to make educated guesses for the others~

actually this is kinda hard to determine. the medal effect might greatly impact certain medal value. while multiplier is important, some medal might have low multi but nice effect. but in long term, the status effect multiplier will become pretty much useless. so i usually use them as fodder. booster (buff/debuff/dispel/cure) pretty much conditional and multiplier doesn't really matter. i know this doesn't answer but if anyone tries to it will most likely be biased.

You can't really judge a medal based on just that. You have to judge the Special Gauge cost (Sometimes), the amount of hits, the damage, the multiplier, the guilt, and rarely the def. as well.

Simply, if a medal has no effect, you have to judge its story-drop equivalent. Like, Musketeer Mickey as a 0-dot 6* is worse than Tidus as a 6* 25% guilt, but as a 0-dot 5* is way better than a 3-dot Mulan (direct upgrade of Tidus, Tier2). All Premiums are better than story with 25% guilt, but all guilted story are better than Epic ones. I repeat, not counting effects! Because there's no equivalent to Minnie, or Naminé, or Alice, or Belle, or Pooh, Piglet, Kairi KH2, Cogsworth and someone else. If you consider multiplier alone you must consider it as a 6*, because 5* deal something like half damage against enemies with high defense: the only differences are with Reverse medals that have no story equivalent...

Thank you. Honestly, I forgot defense existed lol...

Thank you~ judging by its equivalent does make it easier.

Could anyone tell me what are the strongest and weakest medals (damage wise) in the game are? Or if you can direct somewhere that has a list with all medals please?

Guilted Shadow is the current best free medal, reaching a colorless x5.32 with 100% guilt at 1 cost, but this will cost a bunch of mirrors (you won't regret this anyway). Guilted Stitch and Sweetheart Beast are also some of the best current ones... I'm considering medals easy to guilt, since Darkside and Behemoth are "free" and guilted they have something like x8 ST and x6 AoE, but only those who placed in the top 100 of their events can guilt them. All story AoE are good ones, but Sweetheart Beast can surpass every Power one with a decent guilt... just to say, 25% Selphie deal more damage than 0-dots Auron for 2 cost less, so focus on guilting story and event medals!

Currently all "pure damage" event medals are really, really great: Sora 3D, Riku 3D and Queen of Hearts can reach x4.81 for 4 Specials, put them in the strongest slot and buff them, sadly their events are no longer here... go on with Sweetheart Beast, try to guilt Stitch, Rikku and Yuna, and you should be okay until next event.
