do you think Aqua will be saved at the end of 0.2?

Hello everyone,

so just as the title says, do you think Aqua will be saved at the end of 0.2?

 

I think it is quite possible since we have already seen Yen Sid telling Riku and Kairi that they must rescue TAV trio, so I believe that in the ending of 0.2 we'll see the sequel of blank points with Sora and Riku opening someway a door to the light so that Aqua and Ansem can escape the realm of darkness

 

What's your opinion?

Maybe, but not yet though, we defiantly know that Ventus and Terra will indeed be saved in 3, so it's likely Aqua will too. But who knows.

Nope. Mickey will tell Kairu and Riku the story of how he met Aqua in the RoD, but I doubt he will save her in 0.2.

Nope. Aqua makes it all the way in the end of 2.8 to meet the black coated man with amnesia (the same one from Blank Points and KHBBS's secret ending). She's been waiting there ever since for KH3 to come out so she can be rescued

 

It seems she may decided have learned something during her stay in the Realm of Darkness, that something is probably why she can't or won't leave the Realm of Darkness just yet. And by the time she realises that she can't - its too late.

Though it does beg the question of, if Mickey did in fact meet Aqua in the Realm of Darkness, why in the Worlds did he just peace out and leave her there?!

Man I wish but I highly doubt it. 0.2 Birth by Sleep is pretty much telling the expanded story of Aqua's life in the Realm of Darkness and her experiences there after the events of Birth by Sleep. Judging by the trailers I say the story takes place way before she meets the amnesia Ansem the Wise in Blank Points.

Guys, 0.2 can be viewed as a flashback told by Mickey in mysterious tower after DDD so I think that it is possible that after Mickey finishes to tell his adventure Yen Sid sends Sora and Riku to rescue Aqua

Considering how we see Aqua at the end of BbS and 3D still on the Dark Margin...I'm going to assume not. Not in 0.2 anyway. I mean yeah I guess you could say that since this is being told as a flashback you could have Riku, Kairi, and Mickey decide to save her at the end from their perspective but isn't it usually a big deal to get into the Realm of Darkness anyway? I mean the only easy way there is through Corridors and the Guardians aren't exactly huge Darkness users. I'm sure there's a way but my point is that I doubt they're just going to jump in and rescue Aqua all in 0.2, especially when you can just save that for KH3. I mean that's the whole point of 0.2 anyway, to hype up KH3, plot points, gameplay, and all. So it would make more sense story-wise to not save Aqua just yet but to tease the idea of how she can be saved and then fulfill that in KH3. But who knows, maybe they'll end up saving her anyway, but considering how Mickey has never tried in all that time I really doubt it would be that easy, so odds are they're still going to just tease at an idea. Plus I get the vibe that the tone of 0.2 is supposed to be depressing and almost hopeless with a glimmer of light and hope in the end, so just resolving everything right away would kind of throw that tone off.

 

If any of you are Whovians, think of 0.2 like The Night of The Doctor to KH3's The Day of The Doctor. It's not meant to resolve anything, other than explaining a mystery, but rather pave the way for things to be resolved in the upcoming feature it's building up to. We'll see what Aqua's been through, we'll find out what she and Mickey did together in the Realm of Darkness (I'm assuming she helps him find the Kingdom Key D...and maaaaaybe a cameo from Riku since his heart would be lost back there during that time), and we'll see why she was left behind when Riku and Mickey were able to escape just fine, and maybe why Mickey never brought it up all this time (I'm assuming Riku may have never been aware of Aqua's presence, but maybe that will be explained too). This is mostly going to be a title about explanations and building up plot, not for resolving plotlines. I'm pretty sure it will still end with Aqua trapped in the RoD, but again, we have no idea for sure so we'll have to wait and see.

 

Again, there's nothing saying that since it's a flashback they can't decide to save her after Mickey finishes telling the story, but again I still feel like just saving her and resolving everything all at once would make it feel very rushed and would confuse the tone of the story. At best, Mickey will probably explain why he hasn't attempted to or have been able to go back and rescue Aqua, Yen Sid will probably offer some possibility to rescue her, and maybe Riku and Mickey (and possibly Kairi) will be given the task to go rescue her with this new information...and that would be it. Aqua wouldn't be shown getting rescued until KH3, because really that's where it sounds like she's meant to be saved, otherwise people will just be confused about her already being there. It would give a good alibi for Riku and the others being absent for the first quarter of the story, also leaving plenty of opportunity for Sora's task to be the main focus before more plot starts rolling in in KH3. 0.2 will pave the way, KH3 will be the destination.

No, we'll probably just see Aqua's struggles in the Realm Of Darkness, but in terms of her being saved, I don't think that'll happen in 0.2!  Save all the good stuff for III, ya know?  As Hero Of Light explained, 0.2 serves to bridge the gap between what happened to Aqua and Kingdom Hearts III, ya know?  I'm sure things will be set up nicely so that by 0.2's end, we'll get a delightful tease/cliffhanger that'll then continue onward and be resolved in Kingdom Hearts III!

Judging by the end scene of the opening, maybe it's foreshadowing that Sora will be the one to save her but if 0.2 takes place before Blank Points then it could be about KH3.
